Madness to the Method
It did not come from mode of method,
nor from the charted mind.
But sprung from a will-o'-the-wisp
spark in the blind spot shadow,
of the brain, disentangled and drifting.

The idea slipped in sideways,
from the periphery of focus,
when attention was distracted,
by the flit of eyes glancing,
in other ways on other days,

For the more you look,
the less likely you are to see,
the brilliant gems lying
invisible to naked eyes,
blinded by the wont-of-desire
for discovery, to stare intensely
at the target, and not look away.

But, it takes a touch of madness,
to notice strange occurrences,
in the clutter and debris of
random observations falling
like ticker-tape from
still-born mode-of-method showers,
of collected failures-to-disprove.

It takes the madness of
serendipity for one
to take potluck picks
in the box of tricks
smart minds often miss,
to pick winners
with happenstance.

Premium MemberIs There Such a Thing as a Dumb Question? Oops

It's often been conjectured, though I've seen no one prove it.
What do we need, from our lexicon, to remove it?
To disprove it, it would be sufficient - more than ample,
simply to supply a single counterexample.
Now, thank God, we have it, and it's indisputable.
A question who's stupidity is immutable.
So now, friends and colleagues, I offer this suggestion:
let's no longer say, "there's no such thing as a dumb question".

What do you do when you know see and are everything

Are we just Gods Lego’s and time.it’s morning play
So the pros and cons of death
Pros…………………….Cons
No debt……..,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, maybe more debt
No work today…………..,,,,,, or ever again
Never need to walk……………..forced to never stop
No thoughts I think………………wait what if we ………………………,……………..become thought

Worry gone…………………,,,,,,……get worried
No people………………………………sharing a ………………………………………..bubbling cauldron …………………………………………with lots of them
Miss light…………………….. ………yeah I am kinda ……………………………………………with you there

Miss Tracey ached as she giggled at my errors
Did you know if you rotate a shark 3 times it faints
love to see someone disprove it

No winds tendril-led………………I’m from Scotland
trail………….,…………………………won’t miss it
Raindrops fall…………………………..just to fall again
Snow flakes float……………………unique becomes 1
A smile……………………….,,,,…hiding
No sound……………………and you were there…..but
……………………………….you were a scarecrow
You keep her busy I will phone the hospital

Somewhere………..,………Nowhere
Reins Boughs

No regret……………………………..Every regret
I’d miss seconds…………….you might become them
Never fold clothes………………the fold closing

The wisdom school of a fool

(There are wisdom schools which,
going backward from what has happened,
can either prove or disprove almost anything)

If there’s a fool, who’s learnt to be nigh cool,
He sure would win so-called wise as a rule,
Let him come from whatever wisdom school.

And if there be a bully anywhere,
If he gets ‘way with his bubble of scare,
There’s ample chance, it’s just his frothy dare.

Let me put it simply this way rather:
Should a man feel fully free, I gather,
Chances are, he’s born free of a father.

I therefore have this simple rule that reads:
If any an input in life succeeds,
Scant little has it to do with your creeds.

It then fails to prove nor ever disprove
That tales in tales, nor ever love in love,
Given earth’s gravity, can higher move.

My name defamed, my soul is bruised.
With no proof I’m falsely accused.
My accuser’s believed today.
Lord heal my aching soul I pray.

My soul’s innocent has no shame.
I did not do what they all claim.
How do I disprove what they say?
Lord heal my aching soul I pray.

Cease hate and persecution too.
Let them see the harm they all do.
Trusting the lies she has to say.
Lord heal my aching soul I pray

White Noise Blues

(after the novel)

I don’t care about fashion
I just try to keep warm
I’ve heard all about passion
Sounds like a great big storm
I stay out of the freeway
No I don’t venture there
Oh, yes, I once saw a truck swerve
Around an old wheelchair

Why don’t you just try to disprove
those white noise blues?

Some people whimper
Some people bang
Some people act as if they had no shame
Some people curse you
When you don’t join the game
I sense your reluctance
In matters this tame

Why don’t you just try to disprove
those white noise blues?

Now I first noticed the tricycle
As I joined the right lane
Vehicles started dodging
The scene was insane
State officials were puzzled
A hot dog vendor went broke
A horse chewed through its muzzle
A gay midget told jokes

Why don’t you just try to disprove
those white noise blues?

So now I’ve got it together
And I’ve got it apart
They say you can’t raise a white flag
Over a broken heart
Tell that to the soldier
With his gangrened limbs
You entrenched on your sofa,
Sure wouldn’t want to be him!

Why don’t you just try to disprove
those white noise blues?

Premium MemberHedging My Bet

I've never been much of a worrier,
Others do that far better than I,
Nor am I renowned as a scurrier,
Which is not to imply I don't try.
My small circle of close friends and loved ones
Is diminishing one at a time,
And one of these days
I'll wake up to discover
That it's my turn, and I'm next in line.

But if, indeed, that's the next big adventure,
I hope it's a pleasant surprise.
I'd love to prove, or disprove,
All the theories I've had
About life and love,
And good and bad,
And wisdom and learning,
And ethics and such,
That faith is a pillar
And not just a crutch.

But, of course, I’m not worried,
I don't do that, you see.
"Que será, será",
What will be, will be.
But on the off chance that there is a hereafter,
I'd like to reserve a small space there for me.
And should any of you get there before I do,
Try to grab us a nice window seat with a view.

Your Life Is Your Witness
Written: by Miracle Man

I’ve heard it said,
“that we’re the only bible some will read”.
So it isn’t simply what we’re saying,
but also consists of our every deed.

For from our shadows, unknown eyes,
oft scrutinize our every move.
Analyzing our lives, sometimes seeking,
to invalidate, cancel, or disprove.

A Haunted House Is Taboo

Four young boys had a Halloween plot to weave
to disprove the gossip they refused to believe,
rumors about an abandoned haunted house
where a psychotic man murdered his spouse.

They shivered in the dark upon their arrival,
all having second thoughts about their survival.
Upon each child's face, an apprehensive frown
then appeared a lady, blood stains on her gown.

Vampire bats swarmed, trapping them inside
tangled up in cobwebs except for one who cried,
"Quick! Run for your lives. The rumors are true.
I'm locked in a Zombie's jaws! This place is taboo!"

They heard growling voices, then the lady's scream!
Was this a nightmare, all having the same dream?
From fear they'd fainted, bodies found at daybreak.
Four foolish children, dead; their hearts on a stake.

All Or Nothing

I thought that I could handle it
That the passage of time
Had healed my heart enough to be able to open the door a little
And invite you in

However,
Time passing also revealed a new truth
Something I wasn't expecting
Something I was determined to disprove
Which is the reality that it's become
All or Nothing

So,
Since it's impossible for me to have it 'All'
And it's clear to me that I can't
cope with 'Some'
Then sadly,
the only option left
is
'Nothing'

No Biggie, Boo

Written By: D. Collins 12/9/20

You made your play, and I just played with it.
You booked a new stud, and dove deep, down in it.
You blocked me so I couldn't cock-block you.
You being the shot caller ain't no biggie, Boo.

You went in a direction that I could never go.
Knowing who you really are is really good to know.
I must say I don't feel what I once felt.
I'll come out a winner with any hand I'm dealt.

If dissing me somehow gives you strength.
Then, please play it out until the very end.
You wanted to step out to get your feet wet.
It ain't no biggie, Boo. Go ahead and be my guest.

I refuse to be abused, torn down, or broken.
Every time I look around new doors are opened.
It ain't no biggie, Boo. I will come out on top.
And, disprove I'm the man that you think I'm not.

Farewell Farewell

You loved and cared,
Cooked and fed,
Never asking for a coin but for the sake of love...
The poet in me writes your praises,
Yet, the Mathematics in me can't even quantify your immense love for us.
Rest well Mami Margaret,
Tell grand mum I am OK but in the midst of another Pure Mathematics survival challenge.
Tell dad we missed him
and that I wish he was here to disprove my countless concepts in physics,
Tell him I still write poems and listen to the BBC,
Tell him I still look forward to have his twin grandsons despite countless failing proposals.
Tell grand-pa I didn't do political science nor joined politics
But from what I see, he for told our happenings-now.
Tell our forefathers, that we have desecrated the shrines, sold out sacred traditional works of arts for greed and money.
Tell them of the arm conflict and how we've soiled the land with blood,
and divided among ourselves our yet to be homeland.
Farewell Mami Mar!
The poet in me pays you tribute,
As the Mathematics in me confirms your convergence in The Lord,
You're now in the abodes of the Father,

Farewell, Farewell
À Dieu Mami Margaret
Until we meet again.
Your son,

Premium MemberGently Now, Gently

Gently Now, Gently,
     Ever so gently,
          You roll up baby
               In your silver Bentley.
           So, sophisticated and worldly,
     You're too real. Oh! Definitely!

  Gently now, Gently,
       Ever so gently,
            You make my head spin
When you put your fingers on my chin,
          Place your glass of Gin
Up to my lips with your flirty grin.

     Gently now, Gently,
          Ever so gently,
               You move a gentle groove,
                    Goodness I couldn't improve.
          It's difficult to move
     So very hard to disprove.

     Gently now, Gently,
          Ever so gently,
               You touch me so gently
                    And do it intently.
I try to push back, but you get me.
I can't forget it can you see.

     So, please.
          Gently now, Gently,
     Ever so gently.

Moving Away

Change is not within my range
Of comfort zones and so,
When someone moves away, it’s hard
For me to let her go.

My dear dear friend is getting set
To move some hours away
And though the time is right for her,
I wish that she could stay.

Before the virus, we would meet
Once monthly, give or take,
With phone calls keeping up with
Every joy and every ache.

We talk more now and that won’t change
When she has made her move
So she will still be in my life,
Which distance won’t disprove.

We’ll visit, too; the drive’s not bad
But still, it will seem strange.
That’s how things go, but what I know is
I’m no fan of change.

Premium MemberEquality

It took
a deadly virus
to disprove all those theories
that
supported the idea of superiority
of
race, color and sex
and
prove, beyond any doubt,
the
reality of equality, not only
in
the eyes of our Lord
but
in Man's eyes as well!
