Disparities Poems

Your divorce

With this demand you
 hoped to evoke
in me the fear that
 made even your bones
cold from exposer
 frail and bitter the sound
they made as they
rattled around at the knees.
But You can not own even
 this for the words
were not yours to speak of
dissolution and disparities.
and still you uttered
 such falsehoods
an attempt to hurt and mam.
That even one gasp
made even the busiest
of turns stop and
take notice of the world
 you painted
with a promiscuous brush.
I stood naked unafraid, unwitting
is your portrait of our marriage
beyond the pale is your divorce.

Forget All Stupidities

Forget all stupidities,
even these pitiful follies...
while raging thoughts
agitate and infuriate us!

Give up madness,
use logic to end quick solutions;
learning together does wonders!
Show willingness,
accept imperfections as faults
and take the road of delights!

Forget all stupidities
that made us shout angry words;
no time can be restored to minds
not fond of memories!

We tried and failed,
and now, we regret
our foolishness of children;
we should have guessed
what the future held,
not being stubborn
in our narrow mindset
and saved much sweat!

What can two lovers
do standing at crossroads:
split or stay together,
forget all stupidities,
reject all disparities
or try to get better?

Intentional Winters

We spoke loud ripping through layers of insecurities and shadows. Unrecognizable at the reflection of what once was memories to be kept ,we weep. The thought of reviving what we thought would never die is a challenge unmatched and yet we fight. Using only what we know as weapons our emotions those poison thoughts in which charge up the ego and unleashes devastating blows to the heart ,the one thing that makes beautiful songs when cared for. A mysterious feeling of uncontrolled passion the highs and the lows and yet so cold like winter storms with no heat on the freezing nature that causes pause to time, only for a moment when the low sets in and the glass shatters from all the pressure when darkness sets in after the fire dies down that black soot awaking every feeling of disparities fear the realization that all that release really meant the let go the finally and for what intentional winters ended up just breaking a heart.

Hard Things

We can do hard things, giving it all our might,
With steadfast resolve, our spirits take flight.
On life’s arduous journey, we’ll find our way,
Through woes and challenges come what may.

We can do hard things, like Queens and Kings,
With valor as our guide, we conquer all things.
In the darkest hour, when despair seems to win,
We draw upon our strengths deep from within.

We can do hard things, like vast rivers forged,
In unity and purpose, with help from our Lord.
Obstacles might loom, like Mount Everest tall,
But with faith in ourselves, we’ll scale them all.

We can do hard things, like two boxers in a ring,
With patience and true grit, we’ll bob and swing.
Though the road is rough, and the Odyssey long,
Our spirits are resilient, and our resolve is strong.

We can do harder things, like loving our enemies,
No matter the problems, no matter the disparities.
So let this be our universal anthem, a rallying cry,
We can do hard things, while we reach for the sky!

Divine Grace: the Almighty and the Poor

In heavens high, the Almighty reigns with might,
A cosmic symphony, a boundless, radiant light.

Yet far below, in shadows, cold and poor,
The weary souls seek grace, on distant shore.

The rich celestial realms, a world apart,
Their bounty fills the skies, igniting every heart.

While poverty's embrace, a somber, daunting shroud,
A humble plea for help, to pierce the heavy cloud.

But in this grand design, where disparities reside,
Hope springs eternal, love's compassion as our guide.

For even in the depths of pauper's simple plea,
The Almighty's grace and mercy set the spirit free.

Duality

Coalition of disparities,
Sequential moments of clarity,
Inevitable disturbances in reality
Are the perpetual state of duality.

Premium MemberA Reassessment of Differing Views

Some feel that Bible verse conclusively
Describes all life explained through liturgy.
Some feel that evolution holds the key
With science leading forth explicitly.

Positions juxtaposed perceptibly:
A purist view of Life's conformaties -
A prescient view of Life's complexities -
Could one more view assuage disparities?

What do papyrus texts in fact convey?
And, what does nature's yield expressly say?
Somewhere between these two compelling sides
The letter and the spirit both reside.

We take from texts enough to salve our minds,
And then from nature context-laden signs,
With each constrained by factors of its lot.
Questions for both - what is and what is not?

Yet, could these sides assemble what should be -
A pair of constancies through which we see
Two halves converging as to form the whole
Reach toward a common line that's not a goal?

This dictum for another day, but now
Enough for both conjointly to endow
A symbiotic sense of harmony
And hope - if our thoughts are inclined to be.

Not Far and Not Close

In all facets, its scent blows like the man's coil,
Stop, you are weak!
Now these words make you freak.
From afar, more you walk, here you dwell.
Ravenous? Then swallow grumble and toil.
Top; above your imagination, so many are sick,
Despite this, beginning starts; end to seek?
None to lie, the sores as well.

This panting seems a marathon, what an adventure!
Imagine finishing it not knowing,

The cargoes still goes, none will venture,
Just a slopy, seems a hill unmoving,

To heads, all have gleefully mature,
Many are disparities that left filling.

As We Live Our Lives

Disparities in pieces
    mistakes and successes to paste
        shards of life to reassemble
        constantly mending
        without ever stopping

I See

I see the inequities
and the disdainful disparities

I see your struggles
and the testy tussles

I see your falls
and the slow crawls

I see your steady climb
through all the slimy grime

I see your perseverance
through all the encumbrances

I see your calm
through the storms

I'm omnipresent
I'm omnipotent
I'm omniscient

I'm everywhere
I'm all-powerful
I'm all-knowing

I see, so have no fear
my faithful servant, I am here

I've been preparing you,
so remain steadfast and get
ready for anew

Silence When Sailed

We opted to talk,
Disparities to dissolve,
Our problems to solve,

And went out on walk—
Not hands-locked as was before,
Heart’s feelings to pour,

Way out seemed no nigh
When words tied into tight knots,
Morrows, a sad sigh,

Life, like unfilled dots,
It all ended in silence,
Though with resilience,

We knew not at once,
But life’s ship had reached home-shore,
And back as before,

When we’d arrived home,
Eureka, all roads reached Rome,
Silence our life bailed,

When everything failed,
Ah silence had onward sailed,
We under same dome!

Poet’s note: As a pause is in poetry, in-between notes of a melody, so is silence in social chemistry. When words fail, silence seems to sail. It is in silence that two broken hearts meet and beat together. Each stanza here looks like a Haiku, but only so appears.

Long Suffering

I am exhausted from this dance with misery.

I feel faint at the intenseness of my tribulations.

My sudden spirit lingers in the shadows of despair.

I no longer want to whirl around in the turbulent winds of iniquity.

I wish to be free of black vipers snapping at my heels.

Release me O'Lord from this burdensome fever of condemnation.

I wish to alienate myself from corrupt disparities in this vast darkness and bathe in the sun.

The thirst of my soul desires a quenching sip of thou divine grace.

Let me dine on peace and spiritual prosperity.

Give me the strength to shed this evil raiment.

Let me rest my weary soul on the road to redemption.

Premium MemberA Middle Child Club

I'd like to start a middle child club for all those kids who got stuck with the rub.
For those who received the lesser end of the stick, when the flames of love were burning, they were left with a short wick. I'd like to shout out to that middle child who found love thru others, that they should feel proud. For going beyond their birth families allowed them to experience how loves supposed to be. I'd like to acknowledge that middle child who wouldn't settle for disparities, allow their emotions to become beguiled. They didn't wallow in hurt feelings nor become a sad sack, for they learned how to love others beyond their abilities to love back.

Premium MemberFree Will Or Destiny

Free will, compared to destiny, can show
some real disparities between the two-
how life is lived, how much gets done- to know
outcomes of what we plan- or fall into.

Pure destiny suggests our road's been made
to follow life where ever it may lead.
With no involvement, goals remain delayed-
for sure, an easy path- no thoughts to seed.

Conversely, free will grants a tougher course-
     to be responsible for what life brings;
must be involved to build and reinforce
each day of life with fruitful joy that clings.

Free will allows us to earn satisfaction.
     Pure destiny provides no interaction.

I Love You All

unity shall be found when we gather as one,
it matters not how one identifies-
for the time has come to raise wearing pride;
a kaleidoscope of hues enveloping weeping,
relieving the pain of judgement and ignorance

may we all find acceptance in our hearts,
feel the empathy of the ones who feel alone-
breaking bread with those unlike you;
feeding what needs to be nourished,
seeding what needs to be flourished

I LOVE YOU ALL-
God made His people special in His image,
and we are bound by believing we can
find unanimity and accord...
    not disparities of being ignored

speak out to those in pain,
the ones who feel abandoned for who they are-
i pray disputes are dissipated
                         and
               love is regenerated
