Intrigue in Denim

She is intrigue in denim, dressed with just a whisper of leather, which confirmed she wore lace underneath, there's a delicate strength in her voice, a lunacy that sings in her laughter, a tenderness you can read in her smile, lips blushing with the color of wisteria petals, beware, her eyes will eat you whole, there is a sophistication in her simple manner, yet an enigmatic element difficult to discern, there's a double edged darkness in the aura surrounding the elegant hue of her allure, her portrait contains a piece of every woman I've ever loved, as well as every woman I will ever know,
She is intrigue in denim.

Incendiary Insanity

It was far from being a match made in Heaven
More so like a match that ignited the fires in Hell
We took turns playing arsonist
Setting love ablaze
Our memories broken branches used for kindling
Torn from the trees of suspicion
We accepted the fate of the flames we ignited
Lunacy that burned woodlands of our passion.

She said it was okay we were both crazy
We just couldn't be crazy at the same time.
Our madness combined would ignite an inferno
Flames scorching forests of our souls.
Lighting a path to a future of ashes.
The heat from a fire leaving both of us cold.

What's Left of Me

I don't know where pieces of me have gone, it seems they just vanish, disappear without even as much as an Abracadabra, orphaned in some barren place where desire goes to die, Sure I've wasted some, threw alot away without regret, I've even given pieces of me to others, but I still have a small amount of what's left of me, I keep it tucked deep in the left pocket of my memory, even though the meager sum of what remains is only equal to the short distance between a smile and laughter, if you ever need a piece of what's left of me, I will give it to you.

Fonty The Vegan Vulture

Fonty was a vegan Vulture.

Other Vultures tried to offer their advice

Told him they were created as carnivores and eating
meat

Is an essential part of their diet.

He stayed true to his commitment to be a vegan

Ate fruit and berries but they never satisfied his appetite

He resulted to stealing stale bread from pigeons

Crows kept him away from the cornfields

He was too weak to put up a fight

The Vulture Committee knew he wouldn't last much longer

Sure enough he died from starvation

The Volt joined together as a Wake and all said a prayer

Then they quickly ate him.

Premium MemberPeace Out

Perceptions, vibes, aura, energy
It’s all affecting me
Messing up my emotions and creating
Commotion within me
What I thought I once knew has been interrupted
By vocal opinions
Stop messing with my decisions
I thought I had it all together
I thought I knew what I wanted
It’s all discombobulated now
Sometimes I think I’ve been taunted
By the second-hand smoke that's dispersing in the atmosphere
Should I inhale or hold my breathe in fear
Fear of losing familiarity in the midst of this cloud
Now I’ve received clarity
To walk away piece by piece
So I throw up my deuces
Stand up
I’m out
PEACE!

Gamblin' Zoo

"Hit me!" it's blackjack all day long
In a dingy zoo type sing-a-long
and since you can never eat just one
It seems those chips have all but gone!
Bluffing there like a daft giraffe
Just because you stuck your neck out
Still showed your true spots, no doubt
So switch it up to Texas holdem
get the laundry done and fold em'!
Or all in now and say you told em'
If you win don't brag too hard
Don't shove it in their face card
Or from this game you might be barred
And then I guess all you can do
Is sing in your cage until game two
In your pen or where chips are piled
I'd say in both cases, deuces are wild...

Sheeba Trip

awaken in the vine
casting lot for a pick
for a gracious luck
scattered on spiky pines
of roses, of tulip, and of more

pick a lock of hearts
of deuces stack
shuffling decks of paltry picks
when only aces counts

piece by piece
settling in for the race
a stag in a horse race
hampered and broken
an adventure of cascading dreams..

Premium MemberWelcome Year Number Twenty Two

Another year has turned,

And the future is now a concern,

Both of you

Are travelling through,

Year number twenty-two

With no regret I shall bet

That it will not be something to forget

Success is in your minds,

And that should be not denied,

Let the deuces be wild,

As you endure life’s next mile

Please take this simple birthday wish

And go out and catch that goal which you fish,

It will not be a miracle if the net is filled,

Since the college expenses still must be billed.

46

Fate deals forty-six chromosomal cards
at birth to players of human poker.
Sometimes she throws in a surprise joker
or stacks honors flush with her kind regards.

Her suits are four nucleotide bases,
forming pairs in a helical tableau.
Their arrangements determine which traits show.
Culture marks us as deuces or aces.

Four hundred years we played games of false rank,
where white races unfairly trump others.
Our cards can’t be changed. We can change the game.

Maybe the winner might not be the bank,
if we would play as sisters and brothers.
Dirty deals redden us with rage and shame.

I'Ll Trade You Pain For Smoke

Born stressed here,
Peer pressure, pain, and no rest till next year,
Blowing the smoke in my lungs that my chest fear,
It's a mind thing; the pleasure is a treasure for the brain,
Followers mouth left dryer than the dessert after puffing the toxic fame,
Let me pronounce this man,
I think he need counseling; probably by next week he'll smoke a ounce again,
Living the street life,
Higher than the street lights,
Wondering, "what would a life without pain be like",
Using struggles for excuses; giving the body bruises until it's useless,
Some of the smoke that exist kill; some of the smoke that exist heals cancer,
Tell me what the truth is, he said, "I'll trade you pain for smoke", "I said deuces"!

Premium MemberDaisy Bugs and Butterfly Juices

Daisy bugs and butterfly juices
Garden magic. Lemon deuces.
Fresh rose petals all around.
Fat finger curls so sassy and sound.
Black patent leather shoes
Spit and polished.
Here is the news.
60’s are dead. 70’s are gone.
80’s retro. 90’s a throng.
Cannot relate to anything now.
Living in a livestock barn with goats and one cow.
Meadow magic delighting me.
Going to Hallelujah land.
All I can be...

Don'T Want To See It Ruined

9/14/17

Televisions getting muted
Signals getting lost or boosted

Meanwhile people hooted
Brooded and continually feuded

Was not one to make my drinks diluted
Made me snooze quick or feel rebooted

Having solutions
Handling problems without saying "Houston"

Already proven
Am only human
Not trying to jeopardize the world, because I don't want to see it ruined

Those that were undisputed
At one point or another, got uprooted

Who are you trying to kid
Hating is all that you did

Making sure, I soon win
And that I doom him(them)

Somewhat reclusive
Yet elusive

Not one to make excuses
Or rely on ruses

If you want to be intrusive
Then in the end, the evidence will be inconclusive

Went with and against the blueprints
How I meant to do it
Am one of the truest
With my music

Some folks scrooges
And others stooges

Grandma wore occasional brooches
Mom said boy stop being foolish
And so stupid

Took some cruises
Throwing up Deuces

A FEW TANKA

as a child
vampire movies scared me
now i don’t scare easily
but irate drivers
a whole different story

from his smoking gun
all the players took cover
when quick draw ike went
plum crazy
over losing to a pair of deuces

this beautiful garden
with plaster statues
in its midst
always strikes me to the quick
white death overlooking loveliness

my little journey
up a garden’s sandy path
flowers surrounding
and accompanied by happiness
a noisy bird bath

Hello-Goodbye

The bad habits still exist,
The voices I hear still persist,

I try not to listen, I try to resist,
So I keep on hearing them but I never get the gist,

My mind and heart have been fighting, due for a tryst,
As I fight to untwist your clench on my wrist,

There is nothing much worse than being dismissed,
But you can't enter my heart, you're just not on the list,

You attempt to snag my hearts strings, reminding me of the first time we kissed,
each memory is futile, far from changing my mind just making me pissed,

Still you try to hold on, clinging, like a tick or a cyst,
And still never giving credit for the things I have risked,

You try to hide them but i see true intentions through mist,
You might think they will stop me, but all your words just sound hissed,

If you wanna fight this war go ahead, I refuse to enlist,
But I'll tell you goodbye one more time, I'm sure I'll be missed,

...And I'll throw deuces in the air cause my words are my fists.
