When you steal, it’s more than an object you take—
You sever a thread in the soul you forsake.
That bracelet? A gift from a mother now gone.
That wallet? A dream that someone leaned on.
Behind every item lies a story untold,
A piece of a life that was cherished and bold.
To you it’s just something—cheap, small, or fast,
But to them it’s a moment that never comes back.
You may not hear the silent cry,
Or see the look in their searching eye.
But a wound is made, silent and wide,
And something pure begins to die inside.
In taking what’s not yours to claim,
You tarnish your truth, you darken your name.
A flame within flickers low and cold,
And down a darker path, you’re pulled.
Yet there’s a choice before that fall—
To rise, to grow, to heed the call.
Learn the worth of honest trade,
And let your light shine undismayed.
Respect what’s theirs, find your own way.
Stealing may take, but it won’t ever pay.

Gods of Man
In the days of yore, in distant times
Life was simple
Man was simple-minded
and his gods were simple, as well.
Life began with the light of day
and ended with the fall of night.
The light and the darkness were magical,
mysterious, awe-inspiring, and dreadful.
So, he made the sun his god
and the darkness his devil.
A little wiser, he made the graven images
to bow to, sacrifice and worship.
Then came the sly and savvy one
and he made god an anomaly,
a paradox and an enigma.
He made god like no one
and no one was like him.
He was nowhere and everywhere,
And yet he built magnificent
houses of worship and
installed idols of gods
and turned it into a thriving enterprise.
He spawned dos and don’ts…
And as a deterrent he engineered hell,
As an incentive he promoted heaven.
I did it my way
After I am dead and gone away
Let them say whatever they may,
Night to night and day after day
I have lived my life my own way,
A god of my own I created to pray
and my own devil I made to obey;
I will own all my sins at play
and vow all their wages to pay.

Wars follow in the footsteps of men.
Our history shows us the true nature and true meaning of war.
Always denying the truths of what we pretend.
The savage of man is the blood flowing to the beating the heart of war.
Battles raged, laying landscapes of the dead. Wars over centuries galore.
Invasions, tyrants, fascists all evil men always desire to use the power and mechanics of war.
Science won the game, blunt the sword and erased the scribbles of the pen. Creating unnatural power we can’t yet comprehend. Power we now use as a deterrent to war.
When it starts, it’s all over and there’ll never be an us again.
Quite simply put - humanity will destroy itself with nuclear war.

When you tell little ones, "Stop taking all the toys,"
then you don't watch to see if they obey~~
when you instruct your school-age girls and boys,
"Stop now. Do chores and homework before you play
more games and talk to your friends," but you never
check to see what has actually transpired~~
when you give kids a curfew but you aren't ever
aware of what time they get in, proving they aren't required
to stop coming in late~~when they won't stop being mean and rude,
and you say, "You're grounded," then the next day let them go,
do, and spend as they please, proving a stinking attitude
is no deterrent to self-rule, you're under their thumb~~this, they KNOW.

"Can you feel the soul of an abandoned house;
can you hear the whispering? "
Quote by _Constance La France
Dark atmosphere surrounds deserted home
Aeons ago filled with sound of laughter
Its soul does not linger it tends to roam
Lost and adrift, grim without its master.
Those whispering voices filled with sadness
Permeating this old desolate house
Windows-like eyes shrouded with bleak blackness
A sign erected a sale is announced.
Dismal exterior is deterrent
Cold shivers at whispers can't be denied
Soulless nature empty and abhorrent
In this place, sanity does not abide.
Deserted, abandoned empty for years
Sunshine days long gone just whispers and tears.

The sidewalk is littered with pavement crack weeds.
The road’s full of hot tar mirages.
It leads past the neighborhood’s untended needs,
Trash cans and one-car garages.
The curbstones have ceded their sovereign role
Of guiding the rainwater’s current.
As dammed as they are by their dandelion shoal,
They act as a drainage deterrent.
I noticed a penny pressed into the road.
Its owner had long since departed.
I pried up the copper and made it my own,
And felt one cent less broken hearted.

Sans thought, awareness is ~
self-existent bliss fizz,
bubbling forth from within,
magnetic heat throbbing,
creeping under our skin.
Sans thought, awareness is ~
entwined with That oneness,
in but not of the world,
vibrant in pulse dual,
as flag of love’s unfurled.
Sans thought, awareness is ~
presence, God-energised,
melding with the current,
imbibing divine grace;
there then no deterrent.
Sans thought, awareness is ~
the primal vibration,
both still and kinetic,
humming with potential;
aliveness ecstatic!

Water surrounds him,
The moving water awakens his prowess,
The unruffled flow in the dead of night eases his sleep,
After being awakened by his muse,
He needs to go back to sleep,
The man in the lighthouse,
The man in the light pinnacle,
Years have gone by,
There he loves to dwell,
He desires no other company,
All the ship's mice are never a deterrent,
He lives above them.

I'm back to the old times,
Journey to days past,
When my father and I spent good times together,
Pleasant and colourful memories,
Father’s songs were never out of tune,
They flowed with seamless rhythm,
They were sweet sounds to the ears,
He flowed with the melody,
He was drowned in it,
We jumped and sang in the field,
The shining sun wasn't a deterrent,
Mother stood on the porch beaming with smiles,
How I wish time could swing like a pendulum,
How I wish we could relive
the past then come to the present,
How I wish we could walk ageless with time,
Oh! How time has held my father bound,
Fettered to his bed in between two worlds,
The good times we spent
were the making of memories,
Memories etched in my mind,
My forever keepsakes.

Nuclear War
I abhor
The thought of this.
It would be remiss,
To pretend,
Although it is hard to comprehend,
The bomb is capable of world destruction,
Putting an end to greed and corruption,
Nuclear deterrent, Huh!
More like blackmail I fear,
Who will push the button first,
Sadly some powerful people thirst
for war.
No concern for others who die,
And the world cries.
Why?

Soul on fire
Heavy breathing , bleeding heart anguished
and distressed with all sort of complications
Mourning scornfully at God for this lesson
A experience ,maybe a major deterrent of my soul from blazing flames
ignited from my own misery in lack of discernment
Burning desires echoed through my soul
ravaging my mind even more
as i looked at my reflection with contempt
Worthless! i muttered
With all the negativity swallowing me like the evening sky that gradually conquers the dusk
My head unable to process , unable to perceive the point and the lesson
So i stand here motionless as pale as a ghost
and watch the mayhem and tumult u have caused to my soul
My soul that has been set to fire
And my slowly decomposing patience smirked and said to me “ I warned you”

COVID is here again, perhaps in a more virulent form,
Dealing with the day-by-day stresses is now the norm
Still, so many continue to make this a political football,
When it is definitely not a comedian’s clumsy pratfall
How foolish are they who ignore the call to vaccinate,
Frequenting dangerous places where it can replicate
Denying the efficacy of the currently-approved shot--
So far, the only effective deterrent to COVID we’ve got.
It saddens me that some folks are simply being stupid,
When we have opportunity to see this virus booted.

In the middle of the desert,
The land dominated by little water and few plants;
The land ruled by proficiency and inadequacy.
Does not disincentives me, but incentives me,
To be more driven to my dreams till they come to pass -
And my avidity for success and deluxe life,
Brings a smile to my face, because in the end I will enjoy desserts.
During the journey of destitute,
The journey where everything is in dearth;
Does not deterrent me, but motivates me,
To be single-minded and passionate to my dreams.
And to develop my keenness for outstanding success,
That will make scarcity the story of the past -
And makes me to live in glorious for the rest of my life.

Fear of death,
Is nothing else but God's deterrent
To prevent Man from deserting the
Battlefield of life!
