Balls

When first I went ten-pin bowling
was in a league of my own
tho' hot to trot my score was shot
splits and gutterballs set the tone
my opponent bowled professionally
outclassed before I'd begun
she demonstrated then remonstrated
“It's not 'only a game' to some!”
tho' bet my set I'd met my match
when playing each frame for a round
looked like I'm paying heard me saying
"The next one's on me, I'll be bound."
with a spin a difficult situation
unlikely to escape she placed me in
and looking down the lane found myself
once more behind the eight pin

the life you gave

dear Lord
as i think of the empty cross
and the empty grave
i am thankful for the life you gave
to make us complete
to make us whole
for me you gave your all
in my place you took the fall
a sacrifice so that we may live
a life of abundance that you give
even through our pains and sufferings
you are still there
you make us strong
you make us brave
thank you for
the life that you gave.

New International Version
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full

Jesus did not just talk about love, He demonstrated His mercy and compassion by suffering and surrendering His life so that we could live.
Amen

Third day of CNY

2025.1.31
Third and final formal celebration day.
Three main days of CNY,
Have peacefully enjoyed by many Chinese.
The affluent people will continue
Celebrate upto 14 days.
The red packets, AngPao or lixi
Will be given out to friends and distance relatives.
I had given two to BB,
I believe he is single and still available.
This Sunday, the Lions dances
Will be demonstrated in the Melbourne CBD.
The Fortune tellers, palm readers, caligraphor,
And many others will be there,
The traditional New Year Chinese songs and dances
Are the entertainments of the event.
Arts and Crafts, food and drinks
Will be available for people to gain energy.
Happy Chinese New Year.
May everyone be safe, happy, healthy and has lot of money in the year of Snake.

a happy day

A glad day

the morning started badly at breakfast when she reminded me, I had a doctor’s appointment at four in the afternoon
Breakfast was ruined, at lunch, I ate a little fretted about the storm and the rain I can’t possibly go out, drive in this weather, or risk getting a cold; we took a taxi.
The waiting time at the hospital took half an hour, when my name was called, I froze in terror, the way my dog used to when she needed a bath
I needn’t have worried, good news all the way The doctor also said I looked like a Viking, this pleased me so much, full of myself, I got up and demonstrated the exercises I do in the morning. I got my longed-for applause

Quantum Superposition
”A particle can exist in multiple states or places simultaneously until measured.”

we know now that light is
both a particle and a wave
as ethereal vibrations
omnipresent in enigmatic space
both the light of the sun
as also the light that lights the sun

let us look at bilocation
demonstrated by many a saint
to name a few ~ Padre Pio, Ananamayi Ma,
Jesus, Sri Yukteshwar Giri, Neem Karoli Baba …

why then is our consciousness limited
containerised by mind and senses five
when it is vividly clear and self-evident
that our true Self is absolute

who dwells in the potent pause
of polarity interchange
at each half-breath and betwixt heartbeats
or between two thought trains

where lies fulcrum of awareness
is it in the head, the heart or in the void
allowing pristine silence to engulf stillness
truth of the noumena is known
beheld in plain sight as flickers in space
being both immanent and transcendent

Heartfelt

My thoughts take a tour
and marvel at the creator’s power
a tiny piece of flesh,
filled with arteries and veins
big on love, its headquarters,
Agape and all others demonstrated through here

experiencing pain every now and then,
feelings pick fights inside each day
true healing also starts from within,
it stays intact even when it is hurt and bleeds
Inflicted wounds no one sees,
Sometimes prone to disease

The seat of kindness
Where empathy and compassion meet with no vileness
Emotion’s bedrock, where they flare and soar high,
the engine of life
only calmed by inhaling and exhaling,
a function it carries naturally, no need explaining

While haters want to possess it,
with a desire to avenge and seek revenge,
causing it pain.
Pressure is unhealthy
Please don’t take it hostage,
allow it do what it does best, love

with no approval
it beats for all
allow it work at a pace it sets
the reality you must accept
If it ever goes down
know you all are done.

Reason To Write

I write again because I have a reason to write and I have time. But given all the times in the world and all reasons to write, my webpage would be flooding with prose and poems.
Don't insult your intelligence by judging and measuring that of others.
Go home and sleep than paying all night all day for illogical suspicion. Or you'll be wasting time and effort.

There is no way you can prove that one is thieving words by just suspicion, unless you ask him to demonstrate personally his skill in front of you.

One can't just accuse someone of thieving words because the skill behind its making can't just be demonstrated, so with the meaning of the work. Only the real maker can explain its real meaning...

If you should ask me to explain the meaning of every work of mine, I'll be glad to explain them individually, and if there is a legal contest about them. If you think you have legal reason to question the authorship of my works, go to proper forum and I shall be glad to meet you there. If you claim that my work are yours, you must be able to explain their meaning in details...

WHEN IN LOVE

             The woman is a master...
and she shows herself in sensuality...
             is demonstrated in the mouth
              when she kisses...
                             II
             The cunning man
              hides in caramel
                and wait for the moment
                 to unveil his secret...!

Making Bagels

A hands-on workshop was such fun
In Montreal today.
We made real bagels, all from scratch
In a yummy, local way.

Our teacher made us feel at home
(Makes sense - he lives there, too!)
As, patiently, he demonstrated
What we had to do.

Eleven of us washed our hands
And tied our aprons on,
Then measured the ingredients
And mixed ‘til they were gone.

We kneaded and then shaped the dough
With Will to supervise,
Then watched them boil and added seeds
And, much to our surprise,

We made delicious bagels
And our group felt really proud!
As a born and bred New Yorker,
I was thrilled and also wowed.

If you visit Montreal, make sure
You find Will’s class and go
For a wonderful experience
That will delight you so!

If it wasn't for poetry
How would we, secret agents,
Communicate without blundering
By not letting our thoughts turn into
Revelations which might cause mass panic?

If it wasn't for poetry
How would we play with colours and numbers,
With pictures and symbols
Communicating in a language only we can understand,
Demonstrated solely by the deep and honest depths
Of our eyes as we look at each other
Keeping a safe distance
Yet holding hands together with our beating hearts?

If it wasn't for poetry
We, secret agents guarding the treasures of life
Would bloom not into angels of the divine
Having as main duty,
The keepsake of the blinded humankind
Who take the blessings of life for granted
Caring not to see and to hear the universe as it sings!

Premium MemberQuestions

Questions I often questioned myself, It's not a lack of one's faith

yet it's the concerns and matters demonstrated by accounts from

                   people. Questions

I often interrogate myself about who, what, when, where, why, and how.

Uncertainties, hesitations, battles how I was dealt the hands of these

                 cards. Questions

No, I'm not standoffish, hostile, or even antagonistic I'm safeguarding

and waterproofing my mental state of mind from people, places and

                 situations. Questions

Alternatives, routes are taken to turn back from dark alleys, friendly

faces lurking to bring naught to dim one's light. Questions

Acceptance of oneself character healing on a daily journey in nature

              of self importance attentively. Questions

Premium MemberAgape Love

Love most speak of is lust
Dependent upon reciprocation
But pure love is a fragrance sublime
Entwining our soul with all of God’s creation

Gods in human form: they walked among us
Mother Teresa and Gladys Staines
Living examples of agape love
To free us from chains

Mother gave herself fully
Devoted in service of mankind
When a mob burnt her children alive
Staines said, ‘forgive them for they’re blind’

Scriptures are replete with such illustrations
Of unconditional love so demonstrated
Love effervescence is an outpouring
Light that cannot be truncated

Take the crucifixion of Jesus
He could, had He wished, escape
Yet to demonstrate resurrection, He died
That our lives likewise we too may so shape

To become as such, love enabled is our goal
Looking not at outer form but God within
For He dwells as breath in each form
Known when heart’s free from sin

Premium MemberThe Power of Poetry

"Poetry is a life-cherishing force. For poems are not words,
after all, but fires for the cold, ropes let down to the lost,
something as necessary as bread in the pockets of the hungry."
— Mary Oliver

I neither studied, searched for, nor found poetry.
Poetry found me as I wandered in the wilderness.
It was not a beautiful poem that I read.
It was a defining poem that read me.
I was angry, disoriented, confused, and lost.

In school, I was not fond of poetry.
I thought that it was of the abstract.
The pen, paper, and typewriter were already
friends of mine, but not for writing poetry.

Some 15-plus years ago, I wrote a poem that
was meant to help save a marriage. My friend
and his wife divorced anyway. The power of
the pen was too late for them.

The second poem I wrote demonstrated to me
that poetry is indeed a live and powerful tool.
Imaginary words from a dying one brought comfort
and embraced the family of the deceased. That poem
has led to more than 2000 additional poems.
