Premium MemberA Purposeful Life

As children life is just a game we play,
Learning new lessons as we live each day.
Year after year as we grow and mature,
We sense that there’s more than to just endure.

We must have a purpose and not just fun,
Something worthwhile to pass on when we’re done.
Something to show others, we understand,
Encouraging words to be all that they can.

A guiding light as they live their own life,
Words that will help during struggle and strife.
Tell them of the common things that we share,
Demonstrate our love so they know we care.

Then pass on our truth as we say farewell,
Like teachers taught us, we should show and tell.

Premium MemberA Man Snatcher

She takes what isn't hers like a burglar.
Her spouse wed his lover.
She shut her eyes and once more she lost him to that *witch*.
She views him as all-powerful.
Finally! She wears his ring.
Now it’s time to hold her tongue and demonstrate to the world that she belongs to Master Shingh.
What goes around comes back around; karma is a *trickster*.
Now it’s casual intimacy with Tess the *slutty switch*.
He smiles; she chuckles.
He slows down; she accelerates.
He sneezes, she responds with “bless you.”
She embarked on her new life without hesitation.
To her, the man is all-powerful.
She reverses the ground he treads.
“Yes, master; no, master”—somehow, she manages to love, respect, and obey.
She takes things like a thief.

Premium MemberMy Blooming Rose

Alongside me in rain and shine
she walks her life on her own terms,
setting the course on the pathway she likes to pave.
Probing nameless people uncalled, she may descry
break the fence of her protected privacy and pry,
ask incisive questions to slice her persona.
She doesn’t ever care to respond.

In our passionate journey together for so many years
I’ve felt in her heart sunk in the quicksand of time,
emotions rise from the dormant fervor’s cauldron.
The good done to her she can’t acknowledge loud,
but the buds of love blossoming within,
she keeps under protective shroud.
Mellow sensitivity soaks all her inarticulate feelings,
she is overwhelmed beyond measure,
but doesn’t know how to demonstrate.

A deviant introvert, she absorbs pain and joy silently,
content with little and whatever I give as caring gesture.
She hasn’t given me even a flower as a token of love,
but I always adore her as a blooming rose I have.

Unfolding the Light

There is this other self; it is a little ahead of me.
It does not look back, only I look back,
I imagine a path all the way to an end.

Of course, it is a conceit to ponder any endings,
we need but to follow the spiral foretelling,
the promise of more.

They say living is easy, I declare that death
is an even greater miracle than life,
a miracle all can demonstrate.

The acorn knows the fertility of emptiness,
how to fill and claim its place in the continuum,
how to depart as a seed once more.

In the end there is no end,
we carry our souls like dead moths
into that secret unknowable,
anticipating a butterfly transformation
one so much stranger than
any token life.

Premium MemberMy Sister's Account Of Me

We spent twenty two long years together
under the same roof, so, I know him better than others,
for he’s my only brother.

On his own terms his life he walks brave,
setting the course on the pathway he likes to pave.
Probing nameless people uncalled, he may descry
break the fence of his protected privacy and pry,
ask incisive questions to slice his persona, they try.
He doesn’t ever care to reply.

In his heart sunk in the quicksand of time weary,
emotions rise from the dormant passion’s debris.
The good done to him he can’t acknowledge loud,
but buds of love blooming within, he keeps under shroud.
Mellow sensitivity absorbs all his feelings inarticulate,
he is overwhelmed, but doesn’t know how to demonstrate.

A deviant introvert, he seldom submits to others’ decree,
until he finally sleeps he’ll do what to do with will free.
He’s content with little, grateful for god’s blessings plenty.

Premium MemberFive Women

The grace of God permeates the genealogy of Jesus.
The first woman to appear in Jesus' genealogy was
a woman who refused to be denied by pretending to be
a prostitute. In so during, having a child by Judah, TAMAR
became an ancestorial grandmother of Jesus Christ
The Son of God.

The second woman to appear in his genealogy was a
harlot named RAHAB, also an ancestorial grandmother.

The third woman appeared from Moab, a country
forbidden to worship in God's Temple. Her name was
RUTH, King David's great-grandmother.

The fourth woman to appear was BATHSHEBA, an adulteress
linked to a murder. These all demonstrate to what extent
the God who is Holy will descend to bring us into his
loving arms of care and forgiveness.

The last woman to appear in the genealogy of Jesus
is a virgin named MARY, chosen to be his mother.

If You Let My Heart Stay

today
my son
i
shall demonstrate
kindness of heart
thus
let my heart stay
yet
my only begotten son
but
not let him fly
nor let him stay
too close to the sun
nor
swiftly go to his grave
thus
melt his wings
that
brush too close against
the
golden eyes of the sun
thus
I
want him
to climb the highest mountains
again and again
though
my heart sings out to the earth
oh lord
if you let my heart stay

Captivated

Excuse me,
Will you give me just a moment?
You're someone in whom I confide,
so I close my eyes and
express these thoughts I have inside.

I know these words serve no excuse.
It's the way you've induced
my heart with your love.

You portray with every mannerism
emotional understanding.
Your glow resembles a prism.

You have this voice of a harpoon
that drew me in all so soon.

I felt my heart grow bigger in time,
progressively like a watermelon,
then I fell in love with you.

These qualities you possess
guiding you to success,
I confess,
motivate me to love you more.
Your personality I adore.
Your heart is something unique
I'd spend forever to explore.

Perhaps you think, "What audacity!"
I respond to your capacity
to demonstrate true love.
You have me sold.
Not only have I been told,
but I've seen on my own that
you have a heart of gold.

I'm willing to look no farther
for my life-long partner.

I'd love to use this opportunity
to keep you next to me
and never let go.

No longer will I
let my thoughts go on belated.
I want you to know for certain
you have my heart captivated.

I Am The Lorax

Kill the trees
	They have no place here
	They’re not gonna do anything
They never did anything for you
	Kill the trees

	Break the boards, demonstrate
to the students of the earth
	Show them what happens
to the trees that invade our land

				They shall know
					that man has come.
We will rob you of everything
We replant the apples we feed on
To expand our horizons of knowledge
					And then we kill you
						Because we don’t need you.

Man has come to rob you of all life
		Until man stands alone
and his brother is the last witness
To the death of a trillion-thousand stars

Choices

Choose to wake up with appreciation and grace
It will teach you to enjoy life at a pace,

Choose to tell yourself you are loved everyday
It will give you confidence throughout your day,

Choose to have gratitude when the day begins
It will gift you with unexpected wins,

Choose to forgive yourself for unpleasant behavior
It will remind you, you still have GODS favor,

Choose to sit and converse about an heated disagreement
It will be a solution to resolve anger without resentment,

Choose to have compassion for yourself and another
It will teach you patience to help a few others,

Choose to apologize when you know/knew you are wrong
It will save time from a grudge that can be prolong,

Choose unity; together we are strong
It will dissolve separation that has lasted too long,

Choose to demonstrate and live in peace
It will help the war around the world cease.

Love On Ice

So much romanticism on the choreography
The body and facial expression
Demonstrate a love between the two
A passion, simply fantastic, perfect couple
Perfect synchronicity, wonderful
Beautiful to see, extraordinary
Romantic to see, amazing the performance.

The Old Picture

Old picture seldom
You can see them
I have the chance
To see one hid by time.
A photo album of my
Grandpa who still
About ten years old
Together with her mother
A pre-colonial spanish motiff
The mother wearing filipiniana
My granpa in spanish suit
Its tainted black and white
In the mid-40's to be exact.
The affluence appears in the dress
The jewelry are sparking
From necklace, earrings to rings
Speaks the rich colonial era.
My granpa is of Caucasian Spanish
Descent, demonstrate his long
Pointed nose and his white skins.
My grandpa is gone, we, his genes
Are continuing the goodness
And the good deeds of my granpa
He's a teacher but an a-class carpenter
By propession, he's character is strict
That he don't want others overseeing him
That traits we inherited until now.
The old picture hangs in the corner
Of the room and in our memory lanes.

Premium MemberIt's Good Lord

It’s good, Lord,
just to meditate alone
and let your truth
my restless mind subdue;
unchanged while worlds
have ebbed and flowed,
your Word flows now
in soft assurance to my soul.

    Storm-echoes of the thunder
    fade to peace
    and quiet blue
    the rain-clean sky controls,
    as you again, Lord,
    demonstrate your power
    through stormy wind and fair,
    you rule.

Untroubled peace
would soon breed man’s contempt
and all-sufficient
seem his prospered ways.
Your care commands
the stormy cloud to rise
lest man unhindered, proud,
his soul destroys.

    The storms of life, Lord,
    come at your command.
    At that same word
in your good time they go.
You care for me, my Lord,
    in your great love.
    I know that you’re in charge –
        Be still, my soul.
