The sun is the most powerful thing.
It gives us light and life,
Nothing can change that.
But the man sat on the moon,
is carving it to change the night’s light.
Will the plants still grow?
Will water still rain?
Unknown changes in an unknown terrain.
We are sat on the ground looking up
Lost in a maze that can only be solved from up above.
Climbing on each other’s shoulders
We can reach the moon
And build it back up
Regaining vision
The musky view gone.
Much As Love And Hope Defeats Blackest Blight
I shall walk from the dark into new light
Much as love and hope defeats blackest blight
So too, may faith in recovery ask
Does not the hero, in great courage bask
To stride a victor over battles fought
A winner, hero, to live again thus sought.
I shall walk from the dark into new light
To view morn again, revel in delight
So too, shall hope gift its defending shield
Much as beauty to mankind such truth yields
Knowledge within life's wandering parade
Revealing heart's dreams are too oft overplayed.
I shall walk from the dark into new light
Beg forth a basking moon, to defeat night
So too, will joy and happiness return
As wisdom teaches, life's truths we must learn
Alas! To man a great battle to win
In this earthen sea that so darkly spins.
I shall walk from the dark into new light
Much as love and hope defeats blackest blight
So too, may faith in recovery ask
Does not the hero, in great courage bask.
I shall walk from the dark into new light.
Much as love and hope defeats blackest blight.

Rhyme, ( Found Within A Deep-Sent Night Dream )
I have been through storms and risen above poetry helps me express the defeats and triumphs.m with words!
Love defeats I’m not brave
I can’t wait anymore
And I wish to be slave
And I gift you my core.
In my longing, I’m blind
And I’m losing control
I will ask you to find
My desirable soul.
In your vanity wave
Will you hear my last cry?
And I stand near grave
But I don’t want to die.
Give me your endless rain
Give me eternal sun
I’m escaping from pain
I’m so jaded of run.
Never lose what I gave
I forgot that I’m proud
Love defeats I’m not brave
But I want to be loved.
Yes the war on terror is over
It happened on the Canadian border!
Youssef, 5, was denied
For shopping for toys and terror thus implied
Now Youssef, 5 finished his chemo
The border patrol said oh no, oh no, no no no
No Arabs must be allowed to shop for toys
Not even ones getting chemo and seeking joys
The Mothers family lives in the US
She’s a Canadian for twenty years in her dress
But Trump stopped her oh yes oh yes
From spending her money in Vermont, poor little Youssef
Terrorism has been defeated, Trump does declare
A mother and her kids on a spending spree affair!
So evil to want to buy USA goods
You’d think Donald builds his stuff in the China back woods!!!
Note: I wrote this Free Verse, also something Trump wants to eliminate, the Free Press and the Truth.
Light Defeats Dark
peace will not exist
in this world, as we know it
'til God takes control
sheer ignorance can
prove to be the deepest root
of a warring mind
war is such folly
wasted lives ~ what wicked shame.
foolish foolish man
what of minds at war
a different kind of fight
lies within one's self
elusive is peace
for one who has lost all hope
take heart ~ God exists
and in His New World
peace will live on forever
as He intended
light will defeat dark
peace will overcome all wars
God's work will be done

My lungs like a failing engine
Hug my ribs tingling the need to breathe
Your arms with mine I imagine
Like a train on its trail my body cant stop trembling
Thoughts of you leer back
Forcing reality to puzzle my reasoning
Eloquent silence injects life to my heart
Feeding the obese fear of letting go my sight
Alone with naked words
Silence crying skiing on threads of icy memories
Weaving a pond for my eyes to bath on
When to search the horizon, our love my ozone
Reasons for my doubts I find
Even the base of my worries
cages of my heart soon to be your prison
A nest where lust and love reside
Like a saint lost between walls of perfect
My bleak present sold per fact
Trapped between your voice and lips
Hanged by the dusty air purified by your presence
Maybe its the way your voice sounds
Or the way my heart pounds when close to yours
Maybe its the thought of your lips on mime
That paralyze me when I have to tell you I love you
Empires fall, other will rise;
toll, bells...time defeats glory!

In this haunted room I feel a presence build.
So thick is the air, closing in as you capture space.
The empty chair that was, now your body filled.
Sudden cold spot blasting icy gusts upon my face.
Heart thrumming uselessly in my frail breast.
Pounding in my ears, drowning out the comfort of sleep.
Your shape of nightmares breaking hope of rest.
The black of your image forming thickly and dark too deep.
Your silence leaves open the whispers of dread.
What lurks in this ghost activity straining against the real.
A hand so close it might reach out to my bed.
The fear, overwhelming, lies in what you may next reveal.
Mundane is the car that slows close in the drive
Louder than all it seems after this panic, slowing to turn.
Light blazes through, clashing swiftly into my chilling hive.
I wait to see clearly, such excitement and fear as I learn.
Shadows revealed, nothing I might have guessed.
So clearly I see you in this light commanding dark's defeat.
A sigh passes over my lips my truest fear confessed.
For tonight, just a chair and a badly folded sheet.

Temporary defeats,
Do not make failures of men;
But rather,
Man's inability to deal with those setbacks.
