Premium Member Dark Silent Night

Snow falling uninterrupted, unhindered in the silent, dark night,
Shimmering snow pellets floating down like thin silvery clouds,
Some adorn the unruffled evergreens - glimmering gems on a tiara,
Some reach the hard ground and melt like our unfulfilled emotions do,
Sky with no blinking stars, somber in reverie like a meditating saint.

I close my eyes, my mind filled with reflections of the past,
Delightful, exultant, tranquil ….
Dismal, dejected, gloomy,
All crowd crystallized in my memories,
My childhood, adolescence, youth, all unfold in my mind in a moment of tranquility,
Gone through many rare experiences which have made my life richer,
As I behold at the absolute darkness of the night,
And experience the sacred feelings of watching snow fall,
My solitary heart prays, devotes, dedicates, bows, glows,
My mind gets purified with an intense desire to be out in the universe,
And feel the inspiring oneness under a mysterious canopy.

Dark night
Silent night..
With the absence of all sounds, and all sights,
I connect to my god.

Premium Member KEEP YOUR SPIRITS UP

Who dedicates the path of life?
And how long our walk will take,
I believe our destiny was assured,
Before we were awake
Therefore, the choice that path will take us
It is not given to us to make.

Why do some of us keep walking?
This often bumpy road
Sometimes, tired and weary,
Carrying a heavy load,
Memories of the past

Some good, some bad.
Uplifting memories of happy times,
And some unbearably sad.
Questions and more questions
Keep coming all the time,

As I trudge my long pathway
Realizing there are no answers,
Whatever people say.
Perhaps I have a lot to learn,
That's why I've had to stay

Perhaps those with a short path,
They knew everything there was to know
And their short presence on this Earth
It was to encourage other mortals to grow
Teaching us compassion.

Respect, love and strength,
The spirits of life
Who did not need to live long,
Their short lives,
Made the rest of us strong

What is the reason why we are here?
I have no more questions.
It's becoming quite clear.
Chosen to be the person I've become
Spiritually connected to everyone.

She Deserves This

She loves pink, says the sparkling pink Christmas tree lingering in the corner
She lives a chaotic, filled life, with no time to spare, says the laundry sprawled all over the floor
She is working on finding God, and crafting a loving relationship with him, says the Bible on her nightstand
She loves and dedicates herself to water-polo, says the bright yellow ball resting by her pillow
She's someone who needs love, says the affirmations calling to her from her mirror
YOU are beautiful, YOU are loved, YOU deserve this.
Words litter her mirror, screaming back at her, but all her eyes can see is the number on the scale
She is surrounded by love, says the pictures on everything in her room
She just can't see it yet
What to do with all that love, but to surround herself with it, hoping one day it’ll reach her
That one day she will see that SHE is beautiful, SHE is loved, SHE deserves this.

Premium Member Sunny Dedicates Life To Strife

Sunny dedicated her entire adult life
To trying to cheer up her husband Strife.
Strife was a garden gargoyle with a perpetual frown.
He was known as the most somber gargoyle in our town.

We tried to get her to take a break.
But she was busy entertaining him with a rake.
He did not move, just glared as usual, in a bad mood.
He never smiled or ate any of her delicious food.

Sunny spent her life trying to get a smile out of him.
The prospects were bleak, hopeless, and ridiculously dim.
But she was in the habit, so she kept wasting every single day.
Trying to get Strife to change; which he did not do in any kind of way.

Dedicates

Candles are all in old talks
For their dedication part
It’s wrong to forget
Innocent umbrellas
Volunteered to get wet
For the noses to remain dried

I Once Loved

I once loved

Unspoken words to that bleeding heart,
A heart of a young girl who once loved.
That smile everyone was talking about,
It wasn't a smile,But then tears of a little girl covered by her scars.
I wasn't really smiling,
That smile was a metaphor,
For the destruction of pain and anger.

They did not tell me it would hurt like this, none warned me.
Love left me broken.
If only I knew"the voice of a little girl".
It hurts to bad, nothing made sense,
Only love did.
And it love still.
I didn't leave because I stopped loving,
I left cause the wounds were sore.

I couldn't find the ballads,
Or read a books dedicates of writing grief.
Brooding about love.
That was a little girl talking, about her scars that made her strong.
Behind her, lies a broken little girl who have to find courage and put the puzzle together someday if not today.
They are talking because they don't know that little girl
Once loved.

The Goalkeeper

The goalkeeper is a lonely man
who keeps the goal as best he can.
He dedicates both life and soul
to stopping shots upon his goal.
There was one once who was the best-
his name is obvious it,s Gordon West.
There was another whom England owed their thanks,
his name of course-the great Gordon Banks.

Forever Eternally With You

The crickets
filled the air
one night, with
subtle chirping
beats

The moon
and stars set
up to shine,
as they take
their seats

The wind
has settled down
to sing the
songs it’s tucked
away

They sound
like graceful
symphonies an
orchestra would
play

But if
my mind
were on those
things, my heart
it never knew

For it
simply ignored
those sounds
and thought of
only you

My heart
you see, it
dedicates some
time for you
each day

To think
about your
loveliness, keep
other thoughts
bay

Most times
you are the
reason why I’m
in that happy
mood

That special
place I spoke
about, what
joy you do
include

You fill
me full of
happiness, a
feeling that never
parts

You have
that pure
divinity, to
cure my aching
heart

You are
the one I’ve
longed for
and dreamed
about at night

The one
that’s made
my darkest days
clear and full
of light

You stir
me in a
potent love, a
love so ever
new

And now
I want to
spend forever…
eternally with
you

Faces

If I could have the enigmatic face of Monalisa,
If I could be that face which carries secret in a smile,
then maybe you could be My Leonardo, the artist in my time.
If I could be the Queen of Egypt,Be Seductress Cleopatra,
Have Her power and Her strength, then maybe I could be
wrapped in a carpet,be Undressed by Julius Caesar's hands.
If I could be the beauty,Helen of the Troy, then maybe ships
would sail towards me,and be abducted by men's joy.
If I could be the Goddess, of passion and romance,
If I could be the sensual Aphrodite, with Ares have my chance.
If I could have the courage,be brave as Joan of Arc,
then maye I die burnt at stake, wins freedom in my heart.
If I could be these many Special Women,If Only I could be,
then maybe, yes,just maybe,You can be,You can be'The Poet'
who dedicates a sonnet, just for me.

Heroes

When I think about Heaven,
My thoughts are on those passengers from nine-eleven.
Heroes aren't made, they're born.
Overcoming all obstacles regardless the category of the storm.
I can't begin to fathom the caliber of a heroes success,
And the passion of a legend can be hard to digest.
Amazes me a person would jeopardize his own life to offer his hand.
Without a purpose of plan he helps another to stand.
A firefighter runs into a tenant building that's engulfed in flames,
Not knowing names, he saves five.
But sadly he doesn't make it out alive!
We remember, honor that nameless volunteer.
He gets the Good Samaritan award of the year.
He dedicates his free time to those in need.
We honor that preacher and teacher inspiring young minds to succeed!
For that soldier on the battlefield fighting for our nation,
I think our citizens should show more appreciation.
So many heroes have come and gone.
But their memory will forever live on!!!
