Declaring Poems | Examples

The Little Thunder

I saw a streak of living flame,
with no regard for rule or name;
It tumbled through the morning grass,
as if the sun had come to pass.

Its paws struck earth in tiny drums,
like thunder where the daylight hums;
The wind bent low to kiss its ear,
the sky leaned down to watch it near.

It charged at leaves, then spun away,
a knight without a war to play;
Its tail a banner, bright and free,
declaring joy for all to see.

And when it stopped, and caught my gaze,
all breath was gone, all time erased;
No crown, no sword, no sky above
just two small eyes, and endless love.

BOXES

There they sit
Unmoved, stilled
Yet fully filled
With recorded words
A journey of sorrow, grief
Great loss...my proverbial cross
Proof that I was me

I can't bear to open
The plastic lid
Peer inside the ocean
Where all the fish are the same
Swimming in a nice, neat row
Declaring, "She made it!
She's finally WHOLE!"

....WHOLE, with nowhere to go...and no one to be

I met my younger self today

He insisted it was at the pub

He needed to be comfy and had much to say

I declined his offer of a pint

Declaring I’m good with the water, thanks anyway

He insisted, come on have a beer, it’s what we do

I told him, one day he will know, he lives in the darkness of extreme

I remind him of the expression of two ears and one mouth

Wishing him mindful awareness, that might cure his deafness

He told me stories that I already know, saying it’s all just about fun

I spoke about all the untold waste, not just of time and money

But of lost days and unexplored capability, potential and provision

I looked my younger self firmly in the eyes

I explained that life shouldn’t be about regrets

But there will be what if’s, maybe’s and I wonder’s

I know he hadn’t heard me, there certainly wasn’t any thank you

I just smiled, knowing that sometime in the future

He will say

I wished I’d met you earlier

Seeds Of Life
Are Everywhere,
At Least From Here
They Are…

In My Eyes
Up My Nose
Crawling On
Your Skin And
Clothes…

Resilience Somehow
Manifest
Here And
Nowhere Else.

Only Ever
Realized
By Us…

Are You Special Yet?

***

Evidence Of Mass
Extinctions Aren’t
Really Very Rare…
But Here We Are
And This Time We
Notice…

What More Do You Want?

***

We've Looked From
End To End
To Find Another
Healthy Womb...

Well, Some-Body Has
Now Some-How We
          Know...

Try That With Only
Cosmic Star-Dust!

***

Seeds of Life Are
Nearly No-Where…
Only Here Inside
Our SOUP…

Declaring
Residence And
Resistance…

Sustaining Every Conscious Array…
Infintessimal, Extra-Ordinary,
Wavering Persistance.

Dreamtime

Is there anybody out there
Sings the Muffin Man
From Drury Lane
The San Francisco skyline now
Tilted past recognition
A Jumble of order and chaos
Alas, once a beauty
Now a beast
Changed so much
In just a day
As Father Time sighs
And wears away
Surfaces that used to shine
Declaring now his desire
To become a her
And transition to another time.

the mooring rope of thought severed

beseeching love to pair

vaporised presence transformed as light
declaring life’s game is but a dare

The Last Slice

A velvet-heavy, honey-spiced cake
sat on a table spread vast.
soft enough for fingers to disappear into,
dense enough to still
even the most restless tongues.
Its candles flickered like stars.

No one asked who baked it.
No one wondered how long the oven stayed warm.
They just took— with knives that glinted like treaties,
with fingers that didn’t wait for plates.

Frosting smeared like territory lines,
plums dug out and hoarded,
their hands sticky with inheritance.

Someone wanted the cherry—
another, the coast of caramel.

Of course, they sang Happy Humanity to us,
clinking forks like medals,
smiling with mouths still full,
declaring the feast a triumph
without once glancing at the crumbs beneath the table.

The table itself is now a battlefield
of crusts and claims.
And the last slice sits on the chipped porcelain.

Daughter- Whenever you smile

When you smile you light the world.
I'm so proud you are my girl!!!
You make gentle winds blow, birds sing,
when they hear a mere mention of your name.

Do you know the joy you bring???

The world and it's turbulent ways,
come rushing, pushing
battering, and crushing,
but the sound your voice,
soothes and hushes.

The world and its unwavering,
unsavoring remarks,
seem overwhelming,
declaring to me,
'is that the best that you've got'?

But then you say,
just a few words,
'Dad, I love you'
and the world don't stand a chance,
I'm back in this fight, ready to stand!!!

All the while,
and all the time,
I keep you, first,
upon my mind.

All the time,
and all the while,
thinking of you,
and whenever you smile.

The theater at the end of the world

The red curtains lift and the day begins
The sun steps up, introducing herself
Most of us don’t dare to look at her directly
a whispering wind enters
declaring that the world is ending today

In this abandoned theatre
The last place humans are
We sit enjoying the play
with a glorious farewell performance
from every single person we’ve ever met

We sit watching the plot unfolds
Our gaze fixed on the stage
our mistakes dramatized
Our invented characters reborn
Haunted by a so-called potential

Tall buildings kneel outside
Fires hiss, spit and growl
The end is certainly loud
But inside the sun is eternally shining

Premium Member Where Are They Now?

In this country

Politicians line their pockets from back-door deals
Sports figures kneel with raised fist, and protest our flag
Hollywood celebrities exclaim they will leave our country
Silicon Valley tramples on free-speech norms
Corporate elites rig systems to transfer wealth

and live more royally than kings of yore, while

Children hunger
	for food
	for love
	for protection from abuse

Where are the marchers,
the protesters with cardboard placards
funded by big money,

Declaring that these,
the youngest of us
have a right to a life?

That simply being born
is not enough?

	Where are those God-fearing pickets?

Fire and Fire

Tug-of-War
Alpha Dog
Carnivore

Locked our horns
Power struggle
Crown of thorns

Neither bows nor bends nor folds
Instead digs their heels
Leans in and holds

Under weights of worlds shouldered
Beneath catching fires smoldered

They juxtapose
Until the end
And so it goes
Protect; defend

Both yearning to submit, surrender
Though, coward, that would them then render

So instead they hold strong their positions
Each declaring their conditions

Never has this strategy
Ended anyway but tragedy

So each side is shocked and shorn
Strewn about, tattered, torn

Daughters, Mothers and Wives scorn
From empty houses
Alone; forlorn

Forever after they will wait
By the fire
Or at the gate

Until the day they receive
News, that from this horror,
There's no reprieve

THE CROWN

He sat upon a stool
In a bar, of all places
Three men surrounded
Chiding TRUTH for her choice
A cowboy can NOT wear a crown
With his meek and mild ways
Who builds his castle
In a field where wild beast graze

Riches stepped forward
And presented houses, cars
Degrees, and exploration
Fame highlighted name brands,
Tours, recognition, replication
Then glory shone forth praise,
Adoration, and dedication
But TRUTH saw no connection
....suddenly, they charged forth,
         enacting their MATTER BASED insurrection

As TRUTH stood by WORD
Declaring, "I CHOOSE HIM."

        she were

The sky is crying

10 April 2025 1:08 PM

The sky is crying
Humanity is dieing

Giving way to transhumanist enslavement
Through mind altering entertainment

Cyborg glory can be yours a body that won't die
Just let them change your DNA and believe their every lie

Diseases and overcrowding the preach from every nation and mountain
Shortage of food and public housing climate change all lies from their poisonous fountain

Get your mrna shot it's the only chance man has got
Look here look there fear everything but our boiling pot

Soon the useless eaters will all be dead
And the usefull will have our chip in their head

Then satan will stand where he should not
Declaring himself as the one and only god

But his reign will be short lived
His chains are forged the pit lay open with its waiting lid

Yeshuas Kingdom of a thousand years
Will ensure that His gospel reaches every ear

Then satan will roam for a short while more
Then the weeds that spring up with him will be burned

And new heaven and earth God will make
And forever we'll live with Him where sin never again will wake

We are all just a bunch of mental convicts

Whether you're in a prison,
Or a hospital bed confined.
Yours might just be a 9 to 5,
We all are still doing time.
Our conscience is our jury,
Declaring right and wrong.
Our thoughts the Judge who sentences,
To mental prison where we belong.
All of us are guilty,
In this life we're paying for our crime.
A death sentence has hangs over us.
In the prison of our minds.
But don't loose hope, there is good news,
How we all can be paroled.
The devil has to release anyone,
Even though they sold their souls.
God sent us an Attorney,
His name is Jesus Christ.
He said "All prisoners must be released!"
That believes in his sacrifice.
God sent him from heaven "Pro bono!"
For the hopeless, poor and lost.
He's volunteered to take our place,
Saying "Put me not them on that cross!"
"Father!" he said "Please forgive them!"
The know not what they do!
I've come to set the captives free,
Then I'll return to You!"
The Bible newspaper headlines reads,
"Whether you are young and old"
We have the scoop for all mankind,
The Greatest Story Every Told!
