A RIDE I COULDN T SEE

To all, apologies I send,
For sights unseen, where paths did end.
My roller coaster, wild and free,
A blur of motion, lost to me.

Through twists and turns, I couldn't trace,
The dizzying speed, the frantic pace.
It grew too much, a heavy weight,
A burden I could not take.

The highs and lows, a weary game,
A constant shift, a burning flame.
Most often hung, in shadowed darkness
Upside down, where there was no light.

I'm tired now, of every climb,
And every plummet, stealing time.
The ride is done, the wheels unwind,
A weary peace, for heart and mind.

Abortion

The Abortion

Morning broke in the Sea of Japan
the rainbow was off-colour
A day was born.
Incomprehensible
thought it had power
to charm us
When it was a reflector of the weather.
The rainbow couldn´t hang there
but it was erased by an invisible hand.
the day aborted
into hate and ignorance.
She was in hospital
there was nothing he could do.
The night was bleak.

I Love You For Being True

I love you for being true: feel the touch of these hands
steadily touching and caressing your irresistible skin;
do sensual kisses confuse passion with momentary needs?
When the flow of my blood rises, another desire will begin!

I love you for being true,
for hiding the tears you shed,
for smiling when my distant hand was cold;
I love you and still regret all I couldn't undo!

Our mellow whispers are sweet notes of lovely music
played by a violin, being so close makes us too frantic;
everything is ours, nothing can escape from our tight hands:
I love you with all the strength and the devotion I possess!

I love you for being true,
for hiding the tears you shed;
I love you for smiling my distant hand was cold,
I love you and still regret what I couldn' t undo!

Stars and sky can fall and bring darkness, wind can hiss;
we won't ever be afraid, we shun all doubtful notions:
others only believe in romantic and magical moments,
they're after pleasure and reject the love that God blesses!
I love you until I lose this breath and this heartbeat;
I love you until my lips are faithful and won't cheat!

Dark Life Matters

Dark life matters

Woke up in the night it was very dark
put a hand out couldn´t see it.
I wonder how it is to be blind?
In this flat, if no one rearranges the furniture
it would be easy, find the kitchen too.
Opening the fridge is a breeze, it is of no interest
if its light comes on or not.
Remember to clean your hands!
On nights like this, I should be contemplating my death
but my vanity gets in the way.
Should I smile or look grim, and would they remember
to put tanning cream on my face?
I friend of mine who works at the local supermarket is black and carries his skin with pride,
is always glad to see me.
How can you drive at your age, he asks?
Easy, I feel my way.
He finds this hysterically funny.
If I stopped at a handicapped place and a police officer
asked me why I parked there.
I park here because I`m handicapped.
You don´t look handicap, he will say.
I will take off my sunglasses and say, officer, I´m blind.

The Ancient Regime

The ancient regime

I was in Shanghai once during the cultural revolution
everyone mostly young people wore the same grey clothes
half military cut, not a colour in sight except for the flag.
And the book they gave everyone called “Mao´s little red book.”
where words the new China was printed, those
who argued had to confess in public and sent to a camp,
or farm this to learn to be a worker.
Of course, in this socialist paradise, we were not allowed
to go ashore and the was a guard by the gangway to be sure
we didn´t run away.
It didn´t strike anyone; it was the last thing we would do.
It couldn´t last slowly colours crept in, and women dressed
even if grey dresses, with feminist style
Today China is a state capitalist country and is doing
very well, thanks to American outsourcing (wages) making
the Midwest into a wasteland.

The Only Exception

Clock strikes as the light fades from view and all you can see is
yellow.
Standing there watching you live out your destiny and I
couldn't be prouder.
Filled to the brim with compunction our paths couldn’t converge
but I'll always be there for you.
You're going farther than anyone could ever perceive, fathom,
imagine.

And you'll have me right behind you every step of the way
as we develop, grow, manifest into the best versions of humanity,
become what we were meant to be
and increase our eudaimonia to optimize our potential
as camaraderie metastasizes

to levels unseen since the inception of the written word.
Congratulations on getting everything you ever wanted.
You deserve it and every other reward you reap in the ebullient
years to come.
I only hope I can be as fortunate, methodical, utopian.
maybe someday

The Final Hour

The final hour

He was as pale as a corpse floating in an icy Nordic sea.
Motionless in bed he opened up his eyes
don´t know if he knew it was me, but he stared at me for a long time
I became dragged into his death.
He closed his eyes.
No one could do anything for him, except holding his pale hands.
He entered into a coma, and the nurse says it could take some time.
There was no doctor in the room he would appear when the nurse called
him the patient had died, he listened with his stethoscope
nodded and left the room; his profession sees death as a personal failing.
At home, I had to tell my wife her brother was gone.
A relative came to organize the funeral like the size of the casket and
what mode of disposal she wanted, you need a cool head for this
and I couldn´t remember his name

Black Men

Goes back
Black cards or stack
Times couldn;t
Fight back
All this is fact
Some tried to fit in
Had to grim and bend
This is history of some
BLACK MEN

The Sarcastic Crystal Skull

At an old forgotten Oriental cemetery,
half buried in the soil emerges a decomposed skull.
-nothing unpleasant, by the by-
It looks like glass when the sun whitens it.

No nose, eyes, ears or mouth;
therefore no face, no mask.
It has nothing of its own except it's veil of mourn and dust
and its eternal smile.
Its grimace might seem both tragic or blissful.

Leaving my reason apart
I said:
"There is no feature that distinguishes you especially,
you could be anyone.
Are you not the precious image
of each and all of us ?"

And the answer seemed to me
both silent but eloquent
-it couldn´t be otherwise-
Just the eternal half veiled smile
when again the skull contemplates
the worries and doubts of their living fellows.

Numbers

Numbers

In Oslo there was
a woman who could not
say seven.
At the butcher´s she asked
for six pork chops
and two more.
But that is eight.
Right!
She did not want to give
the impression
she couldn´t say seven.

A Pair of Shoes

A pair of Shoes
She was nine years old wore a cotton dress, barefoot and had her
picture taken. Her mother had bought her a pair of new shoes,
and the shoes were so lovely she didn´t want to put them on yet.
Her mother relented the photography was taken the girl holding
the shoes firmly in her little hands.

She looked into the camera with intense seriousness seeing into
a future she was not yet aware of, perhaps she was but couldn´t not
articulate it, hence holding on to her shoes a symbol of the losses
she would suffer.

She married a farmer in Congo they had cattle and coconut trees.
Then came the revolution and since they had the wrong colour, not
black not white had to flee when crazed soldiers came, freedom
was or the masses, who took over the farm ate the milking cows, but
neglected to till the land. She ended up in a foreign land, but she
didn´t mind that so much her children had prospered and survived,
but she was always thrifty never threw away a thing.

The Peace Prize

THE Big Con of a Peace Prize

And there they are the leaders of EU receiving
a prize they do not deserve, the only thing they
have rescued are banks and the people are
paying the price. I´m listening to Barroso, he who
abandoned the premiership of Portugal when he
was offered better paid job in Brussels and left
the country to its own devise.
Millions of unemployed people lines stretching
for miles, Barroso says everything is fine while
Tucking into caviar when not speaking f Europe
in a fake upper class English voice and sounds like
a servant, of a big house, with great ambition.
And now they are brining, in Kosovo, a gangster
led country to complete the skullduggery .
the EU is a capitalist construction that gives them
security to exploit people. The people of Europe
have been betrayed by their leaders and I know
when a man speaks with fork tongues the game is
up… a democratic EU is a good idea but it has
been betrayed by the elite…the prize giving in Oslo
is a disgrace, they couldn´t even stop the war in
the Balkan with US A´s help. So let them dance when
Europe goes hungry.
