An earthling knows what he likes,
as he soars and he sails river pikes.
He has two arms and two legs,
is not hatched from eggs,
and is perfectly suited for bikes.

Yet, folks from the planet of Zentical,
with one arm, three legs, and a tentacle,
can't steer a bike,
which they really dislike.
Other than that, they're nearly identical.

My Sonnet 18 - Shall I Compare Thee to an Angry Cat

Shall I compare thee to a hunter skilled?
Thou art more fluffy and flearidden:
Rough winds do not shake thou steady gaze,
And summer’s lease hath all too short a pelt;
Sometimes too hot the eye of heaven shine,
And often is thou fur untrimmed;
Yet small rodents are but divine,
But cat’s evolved everchanging limbs;
But thy eternal hunter shall not fade.
Thou’s opals are like owl’s.
And such, thou is feared in sunlight and the shade
When in eternal lines to time thou grow’st:
So long as rats can breathe or their eyes to see,
So long lives thou claws and gives purpose to thee.

Love is a Harpoon

Love is a harpoon
Joy is a spinning umbrella
Grief is an empty suitcase
Hope is steam above tea
Love is a gun

Love is a sledgehammer
Anxiety is a pencil sharpener
Relief is a freshly made bed
Fatigue is a half-buttoned coat
Love is an ice pick

Love is a bonfire
Gratitude is a signed playbill
Resentment is burnt toast
Shock is shattering glass
Love is a ship in a bottle

Shall I compare thee to an elephant?
Thou art a thousand times more relevant.
'Tis not from floppy ear doth ardor rise,
Nor yet shall sinuous trunk knot love’s sweet ties;
And if thou can’t stampede across the plains,
Nor deftly roll in mud when monsoon rains,
I find my heart shall hold here little lack,
As pachyderm thou aren’t in love’s soft sack.

Wonders Bright

Life is full of wonders bright,
Receive its gifts, take in the light.
No matter how small, don’t look away,
For little things grow in a mighty way.

Let’s not waste our time in regret,
Nor dwell on things we can't reset.
The past is gone, the future calls,
So stand firm, fight - don’t let it stall.

His Crown of thorns, His finest hour,
With grace and glory, divine in power.
Through trials deep, we'll stand so tall,
Our finest hour will shine for all.

The answers to our earnest prayers,
Wrapped in the favour that each wears.
Maybe we are planted deep in gardens not fair,
Yet destined to bloom flowers beyond compare.

A Love Beyond Compare

Words By: Melancholy Of Innocence
A place where love awakens with silent truth un-binding

A breath a speechless word whispered by an eye's caress
anchored deep within inside my naked soul's undress.
Here lies the force of my love, in truth I must confess,

I am a butterfly in flight, a rose drenched in morning dew
awakened by your innocence I cannot help but love you
Like the flowers need the rain, I need you too

One touch one blink and this moment turns to air
softer than perfume gentler than a whisper barely there
Like stars of heaven, you're beyond compare !!!

Poles Apart

Polar bear at the north pole, floating on a lone ice floe,
thinks to himself, 'What happened to my world, where did all the ice go?'
If to the south pole he did depart, penguins to compare,
would he then be, a well-traveled bipolar bear?

Cells Melt

Blood rushes behind my eyes. Ocean waves
crash as I turn my head, tilting to get a better
view of you. But that’s impossible, isn’t it? No
view is adequate. How should one look at David?
My lips are dry. I’m fainting, surely. Cells melt
and mix, transfixed as you walk by. Unknowing.

apple

An orb held in palm,
green and red glistening moon,
a sweet forever.

Shall I Compare You

Shall I Compare You... ?
Shall I compare you to the sun?
Shining and warm, my dearest one
Shall I compare you to the moon?
Unique and bright, my greatest boon
Shall I compare you to the light?
Illuminating what not of sight
Shall I compare you to the knight?
in honour and dignity willing to fight
Shall I compare you to the Queen?
Admiring how you yourself preen
Shall I compare you to the heart?
You are the love bathing in my heart
Shall I compare you to life?
Of essence, lenient and tough
Shall I compare you to...?
You are beyond my similes and metaphors
You are above what I write of poetry forms
You are my mother
Of words I can add no other
Mother

Jesus
is more precious
than the most expensive
cut diamond. No gem can compare
to Him

Compare Thee To A Summer's day

Compare thee to a summer’s day?

No, my dear, you are a goddess of dismay.

You are the bane of my heart, for you own it completely.

You control my mind without a single effort, and for that you are my enemy.

Thou art lovely and temperate?

No, you are imperfect and cold as Mount Everest.

You freeze my heart with ignorance,

And light it once more with a start.

You are not a summer’s day.

You are a snowstorm that comes in spite of the sunlight of May.

You are the rain that plagues those who have no roof to under stay.

You are the disease that kills and spirits souls away.

Compare thee to a summer’s day?

No, it’s impossible.

There is no way.

Don't Compare

Don't compare,

Your path is rare,
Don't ever compare,
With others out there.
It leaves you lost somewhere,
In between what you have seen,
And who you are being.

Nature's Beauty Beyond Compare

Nature's beauty
Is making me forget
How much I can't stand ants
The flowers by the wayside
Got my curiosity and attention
The sound of the water is so calming
That running under the bridge
A peaceful river flows through an autumn
Landscape, with golden leaves
I love the color of the surrounding
I love this beautiful trail
Gorgeous for walk, a relax catwalk
The view is a blessing so pleasant to the heart
What a beautiful nature from God.

Don't Compare

Do not compare your
Blessing to others; yours is
Enough to thank Him.
