She wakes at six, a soldier’s pride,
Yet dodging texts like enemy fire with stride.
Discipline sharp, routine on point,
But replying? Nah, won’t even anoint.
Her thumb trained in stealth, like a commando ghost,
Evading my message like it’s classified post.
No salute, no signal, just tactical ignore,
She’s on a mission to reply nevermore.
So here’s to the General of Ghosts, all hail,
Dodging conversations like incoming hail.
A warrior in silence, bold and elite,
Too tough for texts, but quick on her feet

“
Is This a Way to Live”
“The Innocent”
As warplanes thunder overhead
We rise from our beds
And wonder,
Is this a way to live?
“The Soldier”
As he crouches in a frozen trench
Amidst the falling snow
He wonders,
Is this a way to live?
“The Mother”
As she lays to eternal rest
Her little one,
She wonders,
Is this a way to live?
“The Refugee”
She cannot explain
Her hunger pains
She wonders,
Is this a way to live?
“The Commander”
How many more
Must I send to their graves
He wonders,
Is this a way to live?
“The Priest”
As he prepares the body
For Its journey to the other side
He wonders,
Is this a way to live?
When the dust settles,
The warplanes are quieted,
The flowers planted,
We must ask,
Why are we living this way?

Please keep yer cotton-pickin' schnoz out of the Israeli affair, Joe!
Mr. Netanyahu is much better qualified to deal with the foe!
Seems everything you get involved with becomes a giant fiasco!
'Twould be great if you spent less time tryin' to rule the world, Joe,
And seriously consider eradicatin' the chaos you've created in America, Bro!

my treasure is my love
my love is my treasure
my treasure
will capture your heart
you always keep my heart at peace
favorite
my heart is at peace
when thunder is loud
even if the light of lightning is scary
I will catch you
I have three treasures:
honesty from my sigh:
loyalty from my tears:
conscience from my poetry,
dedicate to you
you always say
“Before you become one with me, be one with everyone”
and along with
they disappear
leaving heavy rains alone.

In the White House, one behemoth doth reside!
No,neither staff nor family,but a huge dog,
With sharp, white teeth could easily shred a log.
People in the White House forced to run and hide.
The Secret Service are his most favorite, savory dish
I cannot imagine them, being overjoyed to be bitten,
But,to Commander, alas, with human flesh he is smitten.
I’d suggest, instead of humans, a warm, cheese filled Knish.

Secret Service had to be taken to hospital.
Dog needs training or removal for the safety
of all in the West Wing!

In my history book title " African's Hidden Treasure"
There was a military commander who used to recite
his poems and sing songs on trees in his gardens.
One day he organised a contest of women dancers
which cost his life few weeks after the competition.
He was accused to cheat with the woman champion
Because she got a big trophy than her competitors.
One of the jealous women propagated false news
Which frustrated the husband of the woman winner
And ended up shooting his colleague due to rumour.
The son of the dead poet and commander wanted
to pay revenge but his colleagues rejected
that idea as they prepared to overthrow the king.
An affordable price was setting according
to commanders agreement as they needed
more soldiers to aid them in the neighbouring land.
Years later on, they entered that land ; started fighting,
they won the war and the son of the poet became king.
he created the Yao Kingdom and Ndindi chiefdom for
the honour of his father who wanted to be king after war.

It was noon for Lady Amanda
And in drove a Platoon Commander:
Gerald Rutherford, full Lieutenant
Many years back her Quiet Tenant...
Now Military, still Great Manners,
As though in defence of Great Banners,
The two hoisted in front of his Jeep
And a white he chose to close keep...
Key off Jeep's Ignition box, a leap:
He's had something robbing him Good Sleep
"Yes, what's it that you want, Commander?"
"Oh, thanks, Sweet Lady! Your Miranda..."
"You didn't say: Ex - Land Lady's smile."
"Oh my God! Just begun bad file!"

the commander
Going on board my ship, a balmy night in Gibraltar
I noticed four old warships (hunter class) tied up
together on a deserted pier as waiting for the final
verdict, to be turned into nails or sunk.
Having drunk beers with an ex. Royal navy people
I boarded one ship, walked up to the bridge
And took command
Giving orders to drop depth charges against
a German U-boat, I heard a voice behind me say:
“This is state property you have to leave.”
He took his helmet off and whipped his shiny doom,
a sociable copper, not looking for upgrades by
arresting people.
Leisurely we walked to my merchant ship
in a few hours, I would get up, cook breakfast
but I had, briefly, been a commander.

Hey Commander
Hey Commander can’t you see
The way forward that’s meant to be
Standing there waiting for the cue
Your the one who should know what to do
The light is on and the camera rolls
Take your time and explain the goals
What is meant to be we will see
Do we want to live our life free
So Commander make your call
Don’t just stand there when we hear all
You supposed to know once the bell rings
Go ahead say it’s safe when in it swings
What to do when it goes bad
Your modelling should have shown a red flag
Then again ask was it meant to be
Go quietly as the Commander do you see.

Based on L. Cohen’s Field Commander Cohen
Dedicated to my mentor and friend Z. Miroslawski
Field Commander Zed,
he was a poet not a spy,
firm believer that his duty
was to fill the void with beauty
of his metaphors and rhyme,
before it is infiltrated
with uncertainty and hatred
of hard-headed men.
Once when faced
with verbal violence,
that his kindness failed to silence
he used what was at hand...
then came back
to teaching, writing,
boredom some are advertising as
POETRY!

The Latter Rain
The latter rain our Lord so great has promised
would be sent to harvest His mighty precious crop
souls and souls of all ages will be coming
and the devil’s work we will perpetually stop.
For this rain the Word of God has promised
it will bring a mighty blessing from His hand
restoration and refreshing in its rain drops
come to replenish this dry and withered land.
Yes, the job then for the church to remind the Father
of His wonderful promise of old
send the rain, Dear Father like You promised
Your shekinah glory as pure as liquid gold.
For I know that where His drops fall
people are made holy and as pure as the white driven snow
becoming an army with Jesus as their Commander
but we are still awaiting His one Word to send us, that Word is, Go!

Trump Became New Commander
Trump has become our new commander,
And at women does love taking a gander;
We did look;
Saw a crook;
Would meander into a mountain of slander.
