Premium MemberListen To The Wind

"In silence, the wind shares it's most intimate secrets"--quote by poet.

Standing at the edge of a sandy shore
Looking out to sea as I listen to
Incessant cries of " Come to me, come to me;"
I watch the ebbing tide obey the beach wind.

Oh, I listen attentively to the wind!
In the wintertime, it roars to me..."Stay in!"
        I hear it whisper it's tightly-held secrets
To trees; secrets it rather I keep to myself.

          The autumn wind is music to my ears;
It ever so gently tinkles the wind chimes
Hanging above my head in the balcony.
My spirit dances with abandon to its song!

Knowing the fiercely blowing wind carries
Their wondrous songs far, nightingales and robins
Cheerfully tweet out their best at daybreak.
Birds do listen to the voices of the wind.

Pelicans migrating south at summer's end
Hear the whirling wind whisper..."Bon Voyage"
Out in nature, I love listening to the wind.

Premium Memberwalk the talk

part time meditation is of no use
peace must become our orientation
deluded cravings of ego excuse
imbibing love’s divine bliss vibration

cheerfully repay debts of love we owe
settling all our karmic dues one by one
making childlike heart pure like pristine snow
let our soul’s aura shine like yonder sun

free from thought, as awareness self-aware
doing nothing we invoke a bliss squall
with universal consciousness we pair
vaporising thus to become the all

there are no shortcuts, we are in no haste ~
before we see God, we must make heart chaste

The Tutu and the Gown: A Fairy's Dilemma

Roaming in the corridor,
The fairy chuckled,
Mesmerized by the beauty of her own dress,
She grew self-assured in her little fairy school.

The multi-colored tutu,
inlaid with wild flowers;
Rivaled her silver sandals,
Which gleamed like her sparkling wings behind.

Then came the final day,
Bidding farewell to her tiny realm,
She moved ahead.

With sadness and excitement intertwined,
She decided to work through,
Until she became the best.

The moment she stepped into the real world,
She realized,
The tutu she wore was nowhere near the fairy gowns.
The praise and love she once received had faded into lies.
Maybe the tutu she wore was the best tutu, but not the best gown.

Carrying the weight of sudden change,
She still chose to enhance her tutu’s grace.
She rushed to the fashion store and cheerfully exclaimed:
"Get me the Cancan underskirt, fabric and shimmery pearls packed!"

The seller shot her an irksome look,
and Demanded fifty golden bricks.

The helpless fairy turned hopeless,
For she could have earned those bricks—
Only if she had a fluffy gown dress.

Premium MemberNot Responsible

The power depends on the people’s will
They were taught to believe this at high school
But as practice has shown, powers like to kill
And the people are forced to obey under rule
So the contract between the people and power
Looks a bit stretched cause it was preset
Do I need a law how to water my flower?
My goodwill’s stipulated without my consent?
And now you self appointed judges get loud
Condemning me for the war in your garden
But you've got the wrong address, dear crowd
Type the proper number of your chosen warden
Am I not responsible for lunar eclipses yet?
Mustn’t I write an explanatory note
On three A 4 sheets of paper, so that
Could be cheerfully taken as my absent vote.

Premium MemberMy Dad So Grand

My Dad! My Dad with hands so grand
whether shapely straight as a clarinet
or conical as a saxaphone. He blows

through a woody-reed, his tongue
not lashing at us, but conditioned
to musically relay his love for us.

My Dad! My Dad with hands so grand.
They put together a Hammond organ.
His feet so cheerfully press the pedals,

his fingers twinkle across the keys.
Whatever instrument, he sings to us;
his voice good enough for us. Occasionally,

my Dad would get mad, lash out, but
it was not his habit. He is compassionate.
He’d keep quiet, and quietly entertain.

recognising limitations of body-mind
the vessel allotted for earth life
we make do with the vehicle
remaining always bliss rife

our true Self is love and light
cognised directly by eye of soul
we let not this dream life impact us
as we cheerfully fulfil our ordained role

Premium MemberDance of Death

On a fateful night of darkness and gloom,
I lay flat upon my bed.
She took me by the hand, led me to the sky,
and this is what she said.

Good to see you.  We've been waiting for you.
May I have this dance?
But she didn't give me time to answer.
She didn't give me a chance.

In the clouds, I saw my dear departed -
mother, father, teachers, friends,
and their parents and grandparents,
all, who had met their ends.

They got down to the twist and charleston.
A headless woman swirled a minuet.
They stepped to square dances and waltzes.
...wait, was that Marie Antoinette?

I was welcomed cheerfully by all,
but I said, "for Heaven's sake",
and then a man with a notebook said,
"There must be some mistake".

Everyone was gracious as they said "goodbye -
we'll see you when it's time",
and I woke up to the glorious sound of
a church bell's pealing chimes.

I don't know whether I should call it
a dream or a nightmare.
It seems like a nice destination,
but I ain't yet ready to go there.

Premium MemberA Fistful of Minutes

"a breezy yet comfortable autumn day...ah, so lovely!" - quote by poet.

his eyes flutter shut a fistful of minutes,
a much welcome respite into himself.
he sits in the shadow of a jacaranda tree.
as he listens to the mutters of dry foliage,
  a lone nightingale - nature's crown jewel -
cheerfully tweets sonorous melodies for him;
      it's as if he's entered heaven's gate.

The Eternal Ember

The Eternal Ember

Decades are passed, an embrew slices Earth's chest
And countless Energy invests
It blooms
Bamboozles doom:
Decades past
In search of and at last
Pause and steadfast like mast,
It is swaying and living
It's breath giving
Spreading light and delight
Catches might and cashes bright
Twitter positivity in melancholy
Singing joy and cherishing cheerfully
Saying goodbye to pessimism
She is the flame of optimism
Guarding like boundary wall
A spirit stands by at her side
It covers her and clicks in her glide
And in thick and thin, it stands tall
Decades pass
A flame flames
Light in thick darkness
It lits and brightens chaos.

The Reddest Rose

In the prime of your youth so cruel and short,
I handed you the reddest rose with velvety petals
and with a gentle gesture you took it dreamy eyes
to delight your sense and cheerfully accept it.

That rose has never faded, it has remained intact
and I hold it thinking about the seasons we spent
together by that river that carries away all dreams
we wished they would never know the flow of tears.

In the prime of my youth so distant from any crowd
I carried you in the deepness of devoted thoughts
imagining two lovers more eager than a greedy child
who was never glad or satisfied with a few toys.

That pretty girl with golden hair ran on jasmine fields
that met idyllic sunsets that vanish into almost nothing,
I chased you until we both fell on the flaming grass
out of breath, thrilled to lay there and start indulging.

In the prime of fullest joy, we listened to the inner voice
telling us that there wouldn't be another similar time:
either grab it or postpone it without a specified guaranty...
if it would be avaialble for us to enjoy and climb to certainty.

Premium MemberStrolling with my Love

Taking a stroll through the undergrowth
Back to where you and me pledged our troth
To love each other, come rain or snow
In the forest that we both love so.

It's glorious this time of the year
When the wild flowers start to appear
And trees are proudly sprouting fresh leaves
In a dainty dance upon the breeze.

We hold hands as the undergrowth’s rough
Which causes walking to become tough
Not that we need to have an excuse
When we’re free to be out on the loose.

Upon the trees birds chirp cheerfully
Cheeping in avian harmony
Squirrels foraging undergrowth store
Nuts they have buried on days before.

We spot young bunnies taking first hops
The farmers who're preparing their crops
In the distant not too faraway
Working happily throughout their day.

So pleased that we came upon this place
To delight in nature's wondrous grace
Appreciating scenes such as this
That we were all given as a gift.

Life, Love And Happiness

This world, we only come once
In a hundred years, there will be no you
There will be no me
We roll all our lives
Can't carry a brick with us
We celebrate a life, love, hate and enmity
Cannot be taken with us
Life is short
So eat what you like to eat
Meet what you want to meet
Do what you want to do
See the scenery what you want to see
If you have money
You can live a little better
Live calmly
Laugh cheerfully
Be busy enough
That is good for you. This world, we only come once
In a hundred years, there will be no you
There will be no me
We roll all our lives
Can't carry a brick with us
We celebrate a life, love, hate and enmity
Cannot be taken with us
Life is short
So eat what you like to eat
Meet what you want to meet
Do what you want to do
See the scenery what you want to see

Live calmly
Laugh cheerfully
Be busy enough
That is good for you.

Premium MemberWoeful Winter

Winter - dreary, ever so cold and lonely
Wishing, hoping, suddenly gone...if only
Bear it, now that nobody cares to share it
Shivering, chilled and barren

Homestead -party, lavishly spread and happy
Christmas, drinking, cheerfully dancing, singing
Turkey, stuffing, family, all around me
Terribly warm and caring

Leaving, grieving, wondering where I'm going
Sneezing, freezing, lost in a blizzard, snowing
Falling, calling, icicles, crawling beetles
Skeleton gleaming ghastly
