Premium Member My 46th Father's Day

      On my 46th Father’s Day
        I’d finally have my say

For I’d heard the pleasantries before
        they all seemed like cliches

Ties and tie-pins made such fine gifts
for the first 20 years, if you catch my drift

Going out to eat was never much of a treat
for a table you have to love to compete

So, this year I awoke and looked my wife right in the eye
and popped the question: Am I a good father?
                                                         ~ Don’t tell me a lie

Premium Member Smoke Screen Effect

Could this be a Revelation warning?
The last days
A matter of time
Sun and Moon with no shine
Smoke screen elements all combined
Scientist call haze
I call it Heaven’s amaze
Message doom
The hour and second could come soon
Scientist say wildfires from Canada
Do we really know?
The Earth is on notice having a show
A time to continue to pray
Heaven’s attention to Earth being no time to walkaway
Observe and listen with a message like a relay
Back to wearing a face mask
Scientist say back to the task
Moment now
Oh wow
No one knows when this smoke screen will lift
Heaven’s way, catch my drift
Stay indoors
Avoid outdoors
Be patient and wait
Don’t hesitate
Nothing no one can do
Live your life out and continue to pursue
Observe and be prepared
Earth, look up and be aware
Act like you care
Beware
It’s what is in the air
We don’t know how much more the Earth can bare

Message Part of Proper Vestage

An outstanding message
All part of proper vestige
which we may engage

had been an outcast
who became part of the past
moment was my last

message God did give
not negative but positive
is way we should live

around life revolved
with God what we resolved
must become involved

God gave me great gift
up spirits of others must lift
sure you catch my drift

goals which we will set
must all be properly met
or end will regret

God to me had said
Bible is worth being read
on cross His Son bled

factors must equate

Covits educate
will be able to find fate
should shoot to me straight

God made us stronger
lasted longer and longer
removed war monger

Talking about aliens is a big topic today
Here's what I think for the record, I say
Of course, they exist
At Walmart, catch my drift?
Their invasion is surely already underway

A real sweetheart with a capital “O”
But it doesn't start with an “O” though
You catch my drift
My morning lift
The sun doesn't rise till I see that eastern glow!

He Brought It With Him

Written By: D. Collins 2/26/19

He brought Putin with him as a partner in crime.
Working in cahoots to rob America blind.
Creating diversions while slipping in bots.
And, distance between the "Haves and Have-Nots."

Controversy is their single game plan.
Trump is the mouth, where Putin is "The Man."
All of his staff had ties to Russia and Ukraine.
It doesn't take much to run that across the brain.

"We Got Played" there is no question about that.
"Praise to the Party" has gotten us where we're at.
When it comes out in the wash, you'll catch my drift.
And, come to the conclusion that we got stiffed.

He brought it with him before he took the Oath.
And, it affects me, along with all of my folks.
We've become so dirty, it will be hard to clean.
But, we are masters of building self-esteem.

Why is much or most of the time the only pink slips I receive are not the type I like or want. If you catch my drift.

Premium Member Abscence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder

Absence makes the heart grow fonder
Been said many many times
But I'm about as fond as I could be
Methinks I've proved it just fine

So you don't need any of that absence stuff
Do you catch my drift as they say
I'll permit it for maybe an hour or so
But that's it and certainly not a day

There's a very severe penalty you must pay
Should you exceed the allotted limit
A basic one hundred kisses and hugs
Then another twenty-five more per minute

That might seem like a real hefty fine
But it's there to show you how serious
It is to deprive this depraved old soul
He can wind up disoriented and delirious

Bottom line is, please handle me with care
My kind doesn't come along often
Treat me well and I'll be yours forever
And make your dear old heart soften

Things To Catch

You can catch a ride
If you need a lift
Or catch the spirit
If you catch my drift
You might drift off course
If you catch a wave
You could catch a tiger
If you’re brave
You might catch your breath
The faster you run
You can catch some rays
If you’re in the sun
You’ll be caught off guard
If you lose your keys
If your very tired
You can catch some Zzzz’z
You can catch a movie
You can catch a bite
If you have to leave
You can catch a flight
If your plane is late
You might catch some grief
If you solve a crime
You might catch a thief
Just a catchy list
Should it be told
But never try
To catch a cold!

Still Burning

Still burning

I want someone who sets my heart on fire.
An eternal flame that is not denied.
I need a new spark to burn an avalanche of liars.
I need a direct route through to wife.

I want a get well card for my love life.
A slice of that cake sure looks nice,
But inside it’s carrot cake.
Where is the chocolate?
Vegetables!
Give me a break!

Catch my drift and lead me into temptation.
I need to find a new sensation.
A love I have never had before.
Been there, done that; so tired; so bored.
I want a never before seen, woman of my dreams,
Who is destined to become my Queen.

Not a lover who already has a lover,
Or a lover who finds a new lover,
When I am meant to be with her.
I want original; not the same old same.
Give me fireworks!
Come on! Entertain!

A notion of excellence.
I don’t want to be one of many men.
I want to be unique.
One reject; two rejections;
Already taken, makes three.

If all I can have is bad for me,
Give me bad at lying; give me empathy.
Give me something for me…
Please.

Don’t call me baby!
I’m nobody's doll.
Don’t call me sweetie!
I’m not a moll.
I’m not a cutie.
I’m not your “boo.”
If you try to abuse me,
#you're through.

I'm a brave person
a body all my own.
This is a free planet.
This is also my home.
If you didn’t respect that
there’s one thing to do.
Catch my drift when I say,
#you're through.

My silence is leaked.
The story is told.
This past will haunt me
although it is old.
I've met other people
who knew you too.
They read about me.
#you're through.
