Abscence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder
Absence makes the heart grow fonder
Been said many many times
But I'm about as fond as I could be
Methinks I've proved it just fine
So you don't need any of that absence stuff
Do you catch my drift as they say
I'll permit it for maybe an hour or so
But that's it and certainly not a day
There's a very severe penalty you must pay
Should you exceed the allotted limit
A basic one hundred kisses and hugs
Then another twenty-five more per minute
That might seem like a real hefty fine
But it's there to show you how serious
It is to deprive this depraved old soul
He can wind up disoriented and delirious
Bottom line is, please handle me with care
My kind doesn't come along often
Treat me well and I'll be yours forever
And make your dear old heart soften
