Premium Member CAPTAIN JESUS

Sail the seas, Captain James
Wither the storms
Overcome your fears
Captain Jesus is always near
Protect and guide
No wave mightier
Be strong
Your boat will never sink
Eyes of Heaven above
The deep seas below on watch
I am there
I am your personal Lighthouse
Seeing beyond the horizons of boundaries
I am your high mountains you will climb
The skies above are wise
I am full of energize in endurance
Faith in me is assurance
Anchor your heart in courage
No storms will ever prevail
I am your set sail
The seas and storms I control in command
Sail with no worry
Look up and don’t be sorry
Captain Jesus at the wheel
Just don’t let Satan steal
Your honor is my establishment
Sail on

Who's Boss?

One of the clowns in my circus
wants to be ringmaster and crack the whip
one of the sailors on board my boat
wants to be captain and steer the ship
but there's only room for one
under the big tophat my dear
so they're both out of luck
and the buck stops here
I have the last and final say
tho' not one to overwhelm
to maintain a steady course
there can only be one at the helm

Premium Member Meeting Captain Gary Bee a Pirate

Every pirate west of the Caribbean had heard of Captain Gary Bee.
He was reputed to be way younger than the next captain at twenty-three.
We were anxious to meet him, so we invited him to tea.
He strutted in with short pants, that barely covered up a knee.

It is rude to ask pirate captains their age, so we did not.
But he could not have been a decade older than a tot.
He spoke with polish and finesse', was unassuming and not brassy.
After a lunch of bean curd and bean salad, he was a bit gassy.

Excuse me! He said after each burp, belch and break of wind.
We thought he was delightful; he became an instant friend.
Captain Gary Bee, the notorious pirate king of the seven Seas
I was glad he decided to stop in often for our cakes and teas.

Premium Member Meeting Captain Bee

Captain Bee of the Ship McKee had a reputation all over the Seventh Seas
A pirate narcissist, who made people grovel down to their knees
He had cold steely blue eyes, and he was fearsome to the point of absurd.
I was fearful of this pirate, until I realized that Captain Bee is a canary bird.

I am the captain

I am the brave sailor
My crew mates, friends,
Clothed in sorrow
Like lost children
Following the nearest stranger home

I lead them with my heart
As we sail through the masses
Of our duly colored peers
But the captain of a ship
Isn’t the best navigator

I feel the pull of the crowd
As I lose myself to the bleak
And leave my crew to drown
In the waters of self pity and despair
I leave them to the gray

A monster lurks, waiting for it’s prey
To snap the souls of the peaceful
To steal the fire from the fierce
To squander and squeeze the hope out of the dreamers
To make us all obey, all conform

I was their captain
The peaceful, the fierce, the dreamers
They were my crew
Now they blend into the others
Now they all obey, all conform

I found a new one
A peaceful person
A fierce person
A dreamer
But most importantly
I found a navigator

I am the captain
Who saves lost souls from drowning
In the waters of the dark and dull
They are my navigator
Who steers us to the next lost child

I am the brave sailor
My crew mates, friends
Bulging with light
Like the moon
Through the saltwater of the night

captain

Like a bloodstain she refuses to be cleaned off my memory
Nightmares are the only time I see her
Lost thoughts the only time I hear her
A siren in the city singing a song a longing
Pulling overboard the ship I thought I had made
I am no adonis I am no odysseus

To be in the legends of fables would be a blessing
To be forgotten only a blessing in another color
All is lost against the ever persistent tides
Oceanic dreams my only respite
Wishing to awake in a different world
Knowing it’ll never be as such

Threads of Thoughts

threads of thoughts
ever trail my mind
as a companion
 that never leaves me lonely
as I stroll along
the corridors of life
in the stillness of solitude
in the midst of the multitude
at the break of dawn
during sunshine of the day
in the dim shadows of twilight
 and darkness of night
as a moment without thought
I cannot be myself.

threads of thoughts
ever stand by my side
as a guardian
surveying my ins and outs
all along my journey
counselling me
on the road ahead
in search of my goal in life
as without them
I would be like a ship
without a captain
that will sail in the wide sea
without knowing
at which port to land

Premium Member My Father's Dream

My Father's Dream

A wide and vast horizon beckons me to enter there

where oceans echo ancestral voices and gulls paint images in the air.

The Saxons and Angles, Hansas and Norse of Hamburg, Oslo, Kiel and Gdansk

flows through my blood where the sea is my home.

Father, do you miss never having lived your dream of sailing around the world as you told me when I was young?

No, son, I am older now, and I lived my dream. Just standing here with you and looking across the horizon from this Golden Gate is enough for me, now.

And yet, I know, in some small way, I see from his eyes a glimpse of hope that I will fulfill his dreams in my future.

Now the book is closed, and my sermon is said.

My father rests but his dreams are not dead.

With tiller in hand and a gaze across the sea… I live my fathers’ dreams, and his father’s, and his before… sailing off to full fill my dreams… and reunite one day on God’s given glorious shore.

Thank you, dad, my Captain.

Captain Miller : The First Black Tiger

In the shadowed dawn of distant days,
Where echoes whispered of lost ways,
There stood a name, etched deep in lore,
Captain Miller, amidst the roar.

A soldier forged from fire and flame,
Bound to cause, beyond mere name,
With eyes that held grief and pride,
For lands and lives, for those who died.

Steel and sorrow marked his path,
Through broken fields, through aftermath.
A journey weighed with hope and cost,
In battles won, in voices lost.

But history paints with shades of gray,
Heroes, villains blurred by day.
To some, a fighter fierce and strong,
To some, echoes of what went wrong.

Yet beyond the banners, blood and strife,
Lies a tale of fleeting life.
Of choices made, of hearts grown still,
Of dreams that surged against the will.

So let the story rise and fall,
In silent woods, through every call.
For Vallipuram Vasanthan's name still remains,
A thread within war's vast domains.

Premium Member Yo Ho Ho Lets Let Judy be Captain

Judy’s catchy enthusiasm galvanized our pirate crew
so we set sail down the seven seas, ocean blue
yo-ho-ho- we sang loudly, merry and gay
other fearsome pirate ships moved out of our way

excitement permeated our mission, our spirits high
we kissed all our hardships, doubts and do nots goodbye
stirred up, we were filled with crazy amounts of joy and glee
ready to be as evil and mean as Simon La Gree

We are going to make our enemies walk the plank we sang
giving exuberant cheers, our enthusiasm as loud as a bang
we snarled and grouched, and fought over who would be chief
arguing all the way to the largest West Indies big reef

she had set our hearts afire, giving us confidence galore
We were still arguing about it, when we reached a sandy shore
in a very short time, our Judy was elected captain by a vote
I could not argue about it in this island, remote

Captain Alanna

There is a little Pirate Girl,
Her name is Captain Alanna,
She wears a Jolly Roger on her hat,
And she loves bananas.
She sails on a Pirate ship,
Across oceans and seas,
Swashbuckling and hunting treasure,
In between having afternoon teas.
No other ships or crew are safe,
When Captain Alanna sets sail,
They see her ship on the horizon,
That’s when they tremble, then turn pale.
If anyone makes her angry,
They’re made to walk the plank,
She hides her treasure on desert islands,
It isn’t in any bank.
She prefers to drink apple juice,
She’s not too keen on rum,
A happy pirate girl she is,
And hardly ever glum.
With her crew she’s bossy,
She calls out “All hands on deck”,
“Arrrrgh”, they all reply,
Then whisper “Oh heck”.
There’s a parrot on her shoulder,
A patch over her right eye,
She’s ruthless with her cutlass,
Enough to make grown men cry.
Afternoon naps are forbidden,
She sleeps when she’s ready,
Snuggled up with her trusty sidekick,
The one that she calls Teddy.

Premium Member Captain Kirk

Captain Kirk had lots of nerve
Solving all things with his verve
Until he did split
And then had a fit
He now wore a woman's curve.

Note: Inspired by the Star Trek
episode Turnabout Intruder in which Captain Kirk's insane ex-lover Dr. Janice Lester forcibly switches bodies with him in order to take command of the Enterprise.

Premium Member Pirate Penguin is new to the Captain Game

Pirate penguin had a song in his oversized heart
It was singing and chiming in a new kind of art.
He investigated the plank and laughed with a lark.
Now we wait for a crocodile, he said to first mate McBark.
