ONE BRIEF, UNFORGETTABLE MOMENT ~ Date Written: 12/28/2025 ~ Written By Human Poet~ "True Story. I was on a down emergency flight. They did not tell us until after dinner. They turned the plane around to use up fuel and get the police, hospitals and airport ready for us to come in as a crash landing. We learned how to use the slides and get prepared to go down. ONE BRIEF, UNFORGETTABLE MOMENT

We settled in for the long flight home,
the loud noise got our attention.
Dinner was served with a smile,
then the captain came on.
We blew out our tires on take off,
now for an emergency landing.
One Brief Unforgettable Moment.

Oh wow, Paula, how very scary! I'm glad you landed safely. I was on one long ago and the pilot didn't tell us anything, we just saw the ambulances and fire trucks waiting.

The fire and form trucks lined the runway along with the police and ambulances watching us come down. We made it/did Not get hurt. Thank God... The pilot/crew talked us through every step. Many have asked, how do I get back into a place??? Simple, God is in change. When our time is up, it is up. Then I get asked, how about the pilot??? Then he will go but I will Not. That happens all the time, when 1 or 2 will come out OK. Truly unforgettable ride. We did Not get hurt. Thank God... Just another chapter in my crazy life. Wow! Sounds scary! My husband’s plane once turned sideways in the wind approaching Chicago. They thought they were done for. Glad you safely landed!
