One Day

Warm night ?????????
Trees slightly blowing
Black Cinderella smiling at her King
It's a new moon ??
Just you and I
Her heart is warm and tingling
Glass of red wine ??
Good conversation ??????
Perfect date
No sex but lots of mental stimulation
Vibing
R&B in the background playing
May I have this dance
I am winning
Overwhelmed with positive thoughts of you
This night has me grinning
Warm thoughts
Calgon take me away
Another glass of wine please
Massaging my mind
With thoughts of him being my peace
Dedicated to giving him more pieces of me
Loving him inside and out no boundaries freely
Anticipation
Just thoughts sent out to the Umiverse
Meditating on this love vibration
Patiently waiting
One day

A Groundhog Named Bill Murray

there are days when fresh air and calgon just can't take you away
there are times when you just have to take it all like a grown up
there are days when you wanna be big ole baby and just clench yourself to the covers
there are instances when you wanna use the alarm as your punching bag

in a dream, the last day of your last day has come to fruition
in a dream, the new beginning that you have prayed for endlessly is now a reality
in a dream, the lottery has rung the doorbell of your life and set you free
in a dream, you finally get that class A and plan your road trip out

then you wake up, and the same scenery drives you crazy again
then you wake up, and you remember that you need to ride to work starting today
then you wake up, and little riley has ballet class and little joseph is in a play
then you wake up, and you remember to give God Thanks and Praise for another day of life to do it all

Calgon - My Pet Dragon

My pet dragon Calgon lives in a lair.
He comes when I summon - if I dare.
Standing motionless except long flowing hair.
Over and over again I find myself there.
Caught by the trappings of the wizards snare.
The price of the ticket or passenger fare.
Leaving me breathless and worse for the wear.

Calgon approaches so courageous and unscared.
Giving me a knowing and hypnotizing stare.
Then announces his presence with a resounding blare.
As he trumpets his weapon with a fiery air.
Down goes the enemy with all their wares.
Trespassers should heed warning and so beware.
There will be no mercy - Calgon never plays fair.

When all is said and done I'm left very aware.
No one will quite understand our love affair.
Or how his loyalty and warmth are beyond compare.
Wrapping me up tight in his protective care.
Promising there is no more danger wielding despair.
So matters not to me no one else is actually there.
Calgon is always waiting for me at the top of those stairs.

No Frills Vacation

As she envisions boarding the plane,
she whoops a big hooray,
but then she's quickly back to earth,
realizing all the bills to pay…
Her dream vacation is to one day
see the sights and sounds of London,
but for now she'll have to settle
for some bathwater filled with Calgon!

Having Church Today, Amen

walking toward my dream
there is nothing like the feeling
the refreshing breeze of it all feels so nice
i have healed cuts, scars, and abrasions all for this momentous few days away from reality
it is here where i rejoice in the Glory of the Lord
it is here where i mostly feel the Reward of His Blessing
the sand is my Church
the ocean is my Lord and Savior
the vibe itself is like fellowship cool and soothing
settling in the center of my dream
i allow the crashing waves to be my calgon

Wanna Lay Down With You

wanna lay down with you
go to the island again and again
become lost in the atlantic breeze of stillness and delight
enjoy the fact that someone genuinely enjoys the pleasure of my company
allow care to sleep soundly
focus of the self instead
let the warmth of your soft flash stimulate me to brass section thoughts
admire the view and let it be my everlasting calgon
ideas do gymnastics in my head
plans to make it happen cut flips and and all the rest of the fancy jazz
appreciation, thanks and praise replace rhythmic stroking
something deeper at every angle of the island
puts us to sleep and wakes us up fully refreshed and refueled

The Housewife

If you do a little housework every day
Then on the weekend you’ll have time to play
A housewife s work is never done
Working from morning to setting sun.

Sweeping, dusting and mopping, always moving
And never stopping.
Washing clothes and ironing too
So many things that you must do.

Then the cooking and doing the dishes
Picking up in back of the kids and feeding the fishes.
Then trying to look pretty for when your husband gets home
So at your tired appearance he won’t throw stones.

Then when your day is through, a CALGON bath is what you do.
                 (Calgon take me away)
Just lying in the tub to unwind, and in another hour you’ll be fine.
The comfort of your bed is looking so good
And you’re wondering if you should.
Then your husband has that gleam in his eye
And you’re hoping that he doesn’t try.

Then the comment was all it took, of how good you always look.
Then he holds you in his arms and releases all his charms
And makes all your aches and pains go away
And this ends the housewife s day.

Calgon Poems

What does this mean?
Could it be from within
your soul relaxin
as you read the line
that flow from my pen?

Oh to have the gift
to give all comfort
and joy as I write
I am a calgon poet.

Make your minds drift so far away
from all the worries of your day
as you read about a sunny day
or love to be someday.

To give your heart peace
as you read the poems of love
and comfort in God's peace.
I let my light for life
shine like a beacon to see
in the sea of life.

Calgon and Mom

Calgon couldn’t take me away from this
not only was Calgon on our TV
it’s what mother always told me and sis
she wasn’t happy until she was free

if Calgon wasn’t in the tub at all
me and my sister would know Ajax was
she’d be using Ajax having a ball
on the weekends she came home with a buzz

that was back in her polka dancing days
her days of soaking in Calgon gone too
I know she misses the tub on weekdays
sadly mom thinks I belong in a zoo

I don’t see my mom much now by my choice
my mother has always ignored my voice

The Sanity of My Pen

There's sanity within my pen
A relaxing ease where I can win
Thoughts and comments they may be
But they all belong to me
In some a story may be told
Others came to me as I grew old
Some may even sound like a fantasy
But every one is special to me
With it's own time and space
Each one takes us to a different place
Words that seem to flow free
In the open waves of eternity
There is just a great feeling that I get
When at the key board is where I sit
My mind is busy with the pictures I see
And the voices that speak to me
I type some and even erase
But this is my very very happy place
Come on in no need to be shy
You'll know everyone before we say Good Bye
If for relaxing your in some need
Come on back and have a little read
Let your mind just slip away
For a minute forget about today
Let yourself into the fantasy
That no one but you will ever see
A minutes peace I hope that you find
As you with me and we unwind
Just like Calgon the take us away
But for now right here I'll stay.

EMOTIONLESS

By morning wake
When the light in my face
I'm reminded of your disgrace!

How can I do this to myself?
How do I wish Calgon would take me away?
Will I ever wake like the melody of the Blue Jay?

What am I suppose to do?
Shut myself down from this misery?
Emotionless, because I am too weak to be strong

It's my fault for inviting
-he that dropped my heart from cloud nine
Well, I have nothing else to say.
Except, "life has no meaning, and here I am GONE!"

My Sons Part Two

I had to write part two so everyone can see
My sons are not always sweet they do drive me crazy
Being a mother is the hardest job there is to be
one child is running down the block
while the other one is up in the tree

There's toys all over the couch
there's toys all over the floor
If I hurt my foot on one more toy
They all going out the door

The little one is screaming for no reason at all
If I don't do something soon somebody's going to call the law
They mock each other and won't stop the nagging
They pick and tease each other and do to much bragging
They fight over everything it's not your it's mine
If they just learned to share everything would be fine

They just run and jump all around while the oldest live on the phone
I cant't wait until bedtime so that I can be all alone
I'm finished cooking and cleaning take your bath it's time to lay
Now i'm so excited because it's the end of the day
Before I lay me down to sleep to the lord I pray
Calgon will you please come and take me away

And That's the Way It Was

When I was young I had a bad temper.
As mean as a dog you could not make me whimper.
Fighting back then was more like a game.
Even when you fought you were friends just the same.
Something to do to test your skills.
To see who was best in this battle of wills.
A fisticuff thing that was all done in fun.
No one ever got so mad they went for a gun.
At football games there was much rivalry.
A fight maybe two then you would walk away and just let it be.
The idol back then had to be James Dean.
Them old pointed toed shoes with our hair slicked back that was making the
scene.
A nickel bottle of pop with two straws I can picture it all.
Cruising the town with a carload of kids oh what a ball.
I remember when telephones had letters instead of numbers in their prefixes.
Remember when you got sent to the principles office to get licks?
Remember when you just got am radio and 45s was a record?
Oh , Calgon take me back, what about the Bird is a Word?
Penny loafers, if you wanted to date you had to talk with the girl’s father,
Slipping in to the drive-in in the trunk of a car, a bar of candy was a nickel.
This has got to be continued
