~I don't need, In case you haven't heard~

I don't need to strip for no crown, unless you desire large breast
Casarah, there's no need to be deluded by money hungry psychics,
Reading leaves from a tea cup, a misguided fortune of bribes
Can't you see satin gold already streams through my veins
It's not about wanting it bad or how low I would go
I don't need to threaten you or order dominoes
Never would I clean or do your chores,
Rather, I bet you look good dressed as a French Maid
Cleaning and writing around the beauty of everything
Forget the honorable mention, I want first place
This is your week, blank out the pretenders, fakers and haters
They will never have your back once the contest close
As for me, you've been on my dinner plate, since day one
I don't need a grammar base pen, rhyme pattern to win
What I got is hotter, by far the best rates on everything
I don't need Jan to be my friend, Andrea, to address me with a hello
What I have is satisfaction and loyalty everywhere I go.
I got flaws hotter than the sun, strutting my stuff just for you

No need to scratch my back, what we need is a back massage for two
Calgon will give us the youth Greek Gods can't top in 60 seconds
Unwrap yourself from Broken vines, it's time you deal with--
a moon as gold as every word you ever poured from your pen
Let's enjoy the Groveling moon, together we can enslave and take control
You don't need a genie lamp, you are worth more than diamonds and pearls
Together we can toss that lamp back into the Silent of the shadows
Before, greed becomes a misery --- Casarah darling
I got to admit 1,000.000.000 dollars sounds decent
Too bad, Michael's check bounced before it had a chance
Together let's take these sweet little bribes and make the world of it
Flip the bird, burn down all abandon houses
Built another strong community, wait, something is amiss!
Someone owes a gambling debt, coming to you with casino chips
Casarah, I'm not trying to please your mind, or give voice to my bride
I don't NEED to give what you already earn in your honest way
What I want is to win, no attorney needed - I rest my case

Your Son Is Autistic Part 2

I began to panic, but it was gone just as quick as it began.
I listend to there mumbo jumbo, while inside there words made me laugh,
the irony that i needed these people to do nothing more,
then repeat what I had just spent four days reading before.
I remember feeling anger, these people where talking about my child!
!
When they where done, they shook our hands,
telling us both it would be ok,
Did they expect me to believe them?

The ride home was better, then what had been worse just hours before,
I could tell we both needed to cry, and not that I could see,
if she did, because all I could do was stair into nothing.

I know I was being selfish not telling her we would get through this,
I guess because I needed someone to tell me,
but neither of us spoke the words.
And again I wonderd why I couldnt cry.

The night passed on, most of which I cant remember,
about two a.m. everyone was in bed,
I grabbed the envelope that they had given us,
it was so heavy from the papers,
how could this be when hes only three?

I rolled my joint, and ran some water,
wishing that man had something simular,
like the girly stuff calgon take me away.

I lit my joint and started to read,
and not long before I realized,
that everything they are saying that makes you autistic,
is everything I love most about you.

And finely I cryed, I just couldnt stop,
tho im sure I didnt want to,
so into this emotion I gave in.

I cryed and cryed, for two hours
I just .....let go,
all by myself inside that tub.

And in a calming way, I felt older
and strangly healed, my perspective had changed.
for the first time I believed it was going to be ok.

Simply just by being proud, that my son is autistic,
gave me a strength i never knew I had.
And again I wonderd if Kim had felt this way,
and I realized what I had lost.

And I had to ask,
Is this what it means to grow up?

A Dismal Day

The day started out on a low note,
with the clouds moving in,
as I got out of bed
and my daily grind did begin,
used to the sunshine
and not so much cloudiness,
I looked at the weather channel,
and they predicted it right,
with raindrops falling on my head,
and having only pessimistic thoughts,
the atmosphere being dark and dismal,
wishing tomorrow I could soon retire
and turn 66,
got to work in the usual way,
with the retina scanning clock
having yet another field day,
denying my face and eyes
and not recognizing me,
you would think that overnight,
I had some kind of plastic surgery,
how I longed for the old time clock,
and how much easier it used to be,
then being short of help
in our receiving department,
had to pick up the pace and slack,
to make the adjustment,
labeling and slinging boxes of meds most of the day,
sometimes I seriously longed for calgon to take me away,
and still later my r f gun acted up
as I pulled that afternoons orders,
and being on productivity,
it made me a lot slower,
then my boss showed me an order
that apparently got messed up,
telling me to be more careful,
to be more on my toes,
Oh how I longed for the clock
to make its tick tock go faster,
feeling like the day
was nothing short of a disaster,
and finally at 6:30 pm
I left feeling worse for the weary,
feeling like an expendable middle aged Dorothy,
with someone chasing after my Toto,
just feeling down on my luck,
but not quite like being in a tornado,
with my preoccupied thoughts,
the workday finally ended on a high note,
while on my drive home
as I spied in the distance
one of God's beautiful rainbows.

Dreaming Jamaica

It's been one of those days
I need a holiday
Calgon take me away
To some tropical place
With palm trees swaying
To some reggae playing
I'm dreaming Jamaica
Thinking I'll make
A fast getaway
Jamaica's the place
Where they don't know my face
And no one knows my name

An island paradise
All the people so nice
Just like sugar and spice
There's a guy on a Harley
He looks like Bob Marley
Hey, so does that other guy

In Montego Bay
We'll be slipping away
To a hideaway
You won't believe
There's bar in a tree
A perfect getaway

It's been one of those days
I need a holiday
Calgon take me away
To some tropical place
With palm trees swaying
To some reggae playing
I'm dreaming Jamaica
Thinking I'll make a
Fast getaway
Jamaica's the place
Where they don't know my face
And no one knows my name

About a world away
I'm here hauling freight
Up Dakota way
There's no island stream
Just a blizzard scene
Across the interstate

It's minus eight
And it's getting late
Paradise must wait
There's a Super Eight
They say their Continental
Breakfast is great

It's been one of those days
I need a holiday
Calgon take me away
To some tropical place
With palm trees swaying
To some reggae playing
I'm dreaming Jamaica
Thinking I'll make a
Fast getaway
Jamaica's the place
Where they don't know my face
And no one knows my name

These 4 Wallas

These 4 walls

She stares with those big brown eyes
glazing over from the images
of a square fantasy world

Mentally masturbating the oozing
daydream droplets which swim
upstream along radio waves

This is her escape from a reality hidden
behind locked doors of depravity where
hushed family secrets is her gravity

From his nightly hands crawling over pastel
speckled bed sheets with no restraint creeping
into her bedroom as she cries so faint

While Momma sails adrift on that sinking ship
 Methamphetamine, she becomes this pedophile’s
 little slave sex fiend

Perhaps calgon can take her away to from these
Stained four walls closing in on this ill fated girl,
trapped inside her own American Idol swirl

Her different strokes are the beats of her feet that pass
by prostitute row towards school parks is the only yellow
brick road of Oz that she knows

So she prays to this electric god to spin her
into a wonder woman who flies thru cloudless skies
in an invisible jet to hide her in disguise

Because here in this space she has no tears for fears
or shouts with whispered pouts because here in this space
she plays in a little house on the prairie guarded by a digital fairy

But Alice is lost in this mirror less wonderland with no salvation
and hiding behind plastic LCD screens with pixels bouncing
To reality shows illumination decantation

And That's the Way It Was

When I was young I had a bad temper.
As mean as a dog you could not make me whimper.
Fighting back then was more like a game.
Even when you fought you were friends just the same.
Something to do to test your skills.
To see who was best in this battle of wills.
A fisticuff thing that was all done in fun.
No one ever got so mad they went for a gun.
At football games there was much rivalry.
A fight maybe two then you would walk away and just let it be.
The idol back then had to be James Dean.
Them old pointed toed shoes with our hair slicked back that was making the
scene.
A nickel bottle of pop with two straws I can picture it all.
Cruising the town with a carload of kids oh what a ball.
I remember when telephones had letters instead of numbers in their prefixes.
Remember when you got sent to the principles office to get licks?
Remember when you just got am radio and 45s was a record?
Oh , Calgon take me back, what about the Bird is a Word?
Penny loafers, if you wanted to date you had to talk with the girl’s father,
Slipping in to the drive-in in the trunk of a car, a bar of candy was a nickel.
This has got to be continued

The Sanity of My Pen

There's sanity within my pen
A relaxing ease where I can win
Thoughts and comments they may be
But they all belong to me
In some a story may be told
Others came to me as I grew old
Some may even sound like a fantasy
But every one is special to me
With it's own time and space
Each one takes us to a different place
Words that seem to flow free
In the open waves of eternity
There is just a great feeling that I get
When at the key board is where I sit
My mind is busy with the pictures I see
And the voices that speak to me
I type some and even erase
But this is my very very happy place
Come on in no need to be shy
You'll know everyone before we say Good Bye
If for relaxing your in some need
Come on back and have a little read
Let your mind just slip away
For a minute forget about today
Let yourself into the fantasy
That no one but you will ever see
A minutes peace I hope that you find
As you with me and we unwind
Just like Calgon the take us away
But for now right here I'll stay.

Calgon - My Pet Dragon

My pet dragon Calgon lives in a lair.
He comes when I summon - if I dare.
Standing motionless except long flowing hair.
Over and over again I find myself there.
Caught by the trappings of the wizards snare.
The price of the ticket or passenger fare.
Leaving me breathless and worse for the wear.

Calgon approaches so courageous and unscared.
Giving me a knowing and hypnotizing stare.
Then announces his presence with a resounding blare.
As he trumpets his weapon with a fiery air.
Down goes the enemy with all their wares.
Trespassers should heed warning and so beware.
There will be no mercy - Calgon never plays fair.

When all is said and done I'm left very aware.
No one will quite understand our love affair.
Or how his loyalty and warmth are beyond compare.
Wrapping me up tight in his protective care.
Promising there is no more danger wielding despair.
So matters not to me no one else is actually there.
Calgon is always waiting for me at the top of those stairs.

The Housewife

If you do a little housework every day
Then on the weekend you’ll have time to play
A housewife s work is never done
Working from morning to setting sun.

Sweeping, dusting and mopping, always moving
And never stopping.
Washing clothes and ironing too
So many things that you must do.

Then the cooking and doing the dishes
Picking up in back of the kids and feeding the fishes.
Then trying to look pretty for when your husband gets home
So at your tired appearance he won’t throw stones.

Then when your day is through, a CALGON bath is what you do.
                 (Calgon take me away)
Just lying in the tub to unwind, and in another hour you’ll be fine.
The comfort of your bed is looking so good
And you’re wondering if you should.
Then your husband has that gleam in his eye
And you’re hoping that he doesn’t try.

Then the comment was all it took, of how good you always look.
Then he holds you in his arms and releases all his charms
And makes all your aches and pains go away
And this ends the housewife s day.

My Sons Part Two

I had to write part two so everyone can see
My sons are not always sweet they do drive me crazy
Being a mother is the hardest job there is to be
one child is running down the block
while the other one is up in the tree

There's toys all over the couch
there's toys all over the floor
If I hurt my foot on one more toy
They all going out the door

The little one is screaming for no reason at all
If I don't do something soon somebody's going to call the law
They mock each other and won't stop the nagging
They pick and tease each other and do to much bragging
They fight over everything it's not your it's mine
If they just learned to share everything would be fine

They just run and jump all around while the oldest live on the phone
I cant't wait until bedtime so that I can be all alone
I'm finished cooking and cleaning take your bath it's time to lay
Now i'm so excited because it's the end of the day
Before I lay me down to sleep to the lord I pray
Calgon will you please come and take me away
