Curious child
Wears a touch wild

Wonder here
Dwells in bold spheres

Surprise me
With what you see

Wander then
Across fine spans

Fancy toys
With fragrant ploys

Winsome smile
Prompts charm with style

Daring do
Tells much of you

Lovely face
With glowing grace

Bubbly zest
In curious quest

Lovely eyes
Blossom with sighs

Crawling round
As touch now grounds

Caleb

Caleb

The dawn was steel and gray
The day Caleb came to his senses,
He could smell the kitchen love,
Of Maxwell House and blintzes.

“It’s been too long – he stretched
Since this home was filled with laughter.
On his face split a crooked smile,
For Caleb’s morning after.

The revival meeting ‘neath the canopy
“All day singin’ and dinner on the grounds,”
Went two noisy whooping days,
Dark and light, out of bounds.

“Wonder if I’d be presumptious,”
Now that it’s done and over,
To court Lucy Bell in broad daylight,
Neath that flopping canopy cover.

The singers are gone home
But that’s all right
Lucy Bell’s voice is like song to me,
With or without white moonlight.

“Brush your teeth” came a throated yell,
From the sweet smell the kitchen way;
It wasn’t a yell from Lucy Bell,
“Git up, time to start your day!”

Caleb started and shook, realized
His Lucy Bell was only a dream,
“Git in here, Caleb, grab your knife and fork,”
Monday waits for no man, good or mean!

Laugh with clear poise
Oomph outlasts noise
Voice well your choice

Etch passion bright
Live precious light
Yes feel what's right

Bright blessings bloom
Lasting cheer rooms
Etch love that booms

Sense succinct stay
Set ample days
Indulge wise ways

Now and here see
Glimpse what will be
Feel play and spree

Opt to be good
Reap wonder's food
Mind well each mood

Yield charming wit
Grace shapes each fit
Reach with true grit

Ask for good cheer
Note wholeness here
Dream of grand spheres

Strive to be wise
Opt to pay price
Niche warm surprise

Apt words and thoughts
eXcel sweet spot
Embrace your lot

Live charming style
Cheer prompts worthwhile
Aim for fine smiles

Love knows the way
Etch rainbow rays
Bloom each new day

Caleb a Gordley

** This poem is in memory of Caleb, the 16 year old who got killed after he accidentaly went into his neighbor's house thinking it was his house and his neighbor thought it was an intruder and shot and killed him.

Caleb spreads his wings out in Heaven.

Flying high with every beat he raps,

But at night he will fly back down.

As he plays sports with the other angels.

By shooting hoops,

Running into the heart of God in his game of football,

And hitting everyone on Earth and in Heaven with a ball filled with his love.

No need to ring a bell to singal him being an angel.

For he always was one.

For his smile always helped him fly with love and helped fill people's hearts with happiness and peace.

Caleb C

My last name is Culverhouse. My first name is Caleb.
Words that describe me are kind, smart, shy, and curious.
My dad is Wayne C.
My mom is Doris C.
I think the government should get their money cut until they fix things.
I think if my dad could get free time he could be a pro artist!
The only things I fear are stinging bugs, certain spiders, and death.
An animal I like are my three pet geese, ideas are the PS3, and things that are EXPLODING!!!!!
I would love to see Tybee island again.
I would love to see Stone Mountain Park.
I want to go to Myrtle Beach N.C.
I live on Waymanville road

Caleb

What can be said
about this man
One that is not easy to be read.
His words come to life
Pen to paper
With poetry to his wife
A loving father indeed
Nothing else like it
Teaching and giving all they need.
Mysterious is he
What's in his head
Is he thinking about me
He's not perfect
Mistakes have been made
Things I know he'll correct
He's my best friend
the one I married
A love that will never end
He has been mine
For quite some time
I find he is still so divine.

Hope In Darkness By John Caleb Martinez 8th Grade

The darkness is filling up my room
  nightfall is coming very fast.
Today was really filled with gloom
good thing the days never last.

I look at my closet and there I see
  something glaring at me.
It's not that big but it will do
it fills me with joy and not gloom.

This small thing..., it is called hope!
It is always found, even when I mope.
But it's never lost and never goes
and this little thing never slows.

Caleb Heart

Come to me he whispered,

And I was happy to comply,

Love, in the highest from shone from his eyes,

Every cell in my body, responded to his voice.

Be mine I whispered

He nodded in reply

Everything I wanted was in him

All my dreams, in him

Rejoice,

Taboo of love, is broken

By Caleb Culverhouse

Jingle bells, Ashley smells
Shirley laid an egg
The truck had a flat
And the deer got away

Hunting days, hunting days
Deers be aware, Caleb has a sharp eye
Packing a hot loaded rifle yeah!

**My eleven year old wrote this

Caleb Cutie

Caleb, Caleb cutie cream pie
Couldn't keep one candy handy
Sweet tooth times a thirty pearlies
Became loose-y goosey gummy

My Best Explaination of Death(For Caleb)

Injury, sickness and time weakens the fragile human body.
When a person has been fighting
the battle of life, the body weakens with age.
One day we give up the battle and take our
begining in God's eternal kingdom.
Where we won't tire, have pain, be sad and feel loss.
Uncles are there praising Jesus at his feet,
smiling brightly with no pain nor sorrow
in a mortal body. No addictions nor diseases
to cloud the mind and vision.

Strong Tower (A Song For Caleb)

In the time-
That I'm afraid-
I will call-
Upon His Name
For in the times-
I have been brave-
I have called-
Upon His Name (Chorus)

The name of the Lord, the name of the Lord
The name of the Lord's Strength and Power
The name of the Lord, the name of the Lord
The name of the Lord's a Strong Tower

And the righteous will run in it and be safe
The righteous will run in it and be saved

In the time-
That I'm afraid-
I will call-
Upon His Name
For in the times-
I have been brave-
I have called-
Upon His Name (Chorus)

Caleb Is a Noisy Boy

Caleb is a noisy boy
With a lot of noisy toys
Like cars that "vroom", "boop" and "crash"
And video games that "boom", "fwoop" and "splash"
He's got air planes that "swoosh" and "swish"
Even has bath toys that bubble like fish
He had a balloon that would soar and whistle
Until it went "pop!" upon a thistle
He bounces his balls up and down the hall
And throws his darts against the wall
He even likes the chatter of checker pieces
And the games he plays with all my nieces
And my nephew, making muscle dolls wrestle
I mean "action figures", they snap like pretzels
And he's not too old to enjoy V-tech
Because he can add his own sound effects
Hissing like snakes, buzzing like dirt dobbers
Now he does war games, cops and robbers
He shoots cap guns "pow", "pow", "pow" in rhythm
We see the enemy and he says, "Let's get 'em!"
Yes I play too, but not as much as he wants
I give out more easily, his energy haunts
Just when I think he's tuckered out like a church mouse
He's screaming and jumping on me in the house
From 6 a.m. until late at night around 9
I love his noises because Caleb is mine

My King. a Poem For Mckye Caleb Strickland

From the first glance inside of me
I smile as I hear your heart beat
So amazed and anxious to meet you
My King.

As I hold you in my arms
I pray for God to shield you from harm
An anointed spirit has come through me
My King

Grow tall my son. Let the wind guide you
Consume all you can. Walk with the heavens beside you
Offer all that you are. Show all that you bring
My King.

Let your presence shine in the midst of darkness
Don't fear. Be strong. God has already grown your harvest
Make your story a song for the angels to sing
My King.

Although young in age my King
There's a man growing in your soul my King
Preparing for a journey of life to unfold
For...
All to know you
All to learn from you
All to seek in you

My King
