It was all over ~ perfection.
The day had gone without a hitch.
Happy couple and guests gone,
she was left to reflect on life
and what was missing to find happiness.

Every feeling is so special to someone
Knowing every photo reserve seen to every generation
Looking every gold necklace ties in every neck
Stunning diamond ring adorned in bridesmaid
Ravishing youth dream a newly Hadley Davidson bike
A rural girl wish for a latest modern iphone
A father waiting outside delivery room for his newly born baby
Surprise visit of an army lover on girlfriend's birthday
A simple greetings of "hi" or "hello" midnight text message
A special love letter on someone special girl's love anniversary.
I am so popular in the grocery store
Ninety-nine cents
One ninety-nine
Two ninety-nine
Three ninety-nine
Four ninety-nine
Overused and underpaid if you ask me
Always a bridesmaid, never a bride
I do not quite make the grade
Can you imagine anyone saying
“How great the old lady lived to be ninety-nine?
They never say that!
They say “too bad she didn’t get to a hundred.”
A hundred sounds perfect.
Ninety-nine is a disappointment
I feel like a failure
Through no fault of my own
Not quite living up to my potential.
Who wants to invite ninety-nine to dance?
No one. They are all running to ask one hundred.
The opposite view
Unipolar power is like being the bride
and resent the uppity of bridesmaids
she wanted her wedding to be remembered
no one can equal
Her democracy is the bride that has
become domineering and not let in
the bridesmaid
Not even getting married if she thought her
the rule was somewhat diminished
Her attitude causes friction; others wanted
to leave to go find their own happiness
This includes Miss Russia who was
a downtrodden maid, much patronized, made
the fun of and dismissed.
Surprised, we were when out of the shadows
grew and demanded an equal place on the in
the beauty contest, where women in cowboy
hat ruled
but the domineering woman had to grow and
the woman in the cowboy hat
knew Miss Russia had to be subdued rapidly
and set out to ruin her reputation to preserve
her hegemon, she said, was a gift from God
the white deity who loves Miss America
The people at the wedding
a subdued, Miss Russia would be allowed
to exit as a junior partner if she helped to catch
miss China, whose beauty was fabulous
not seen for two thousand years
The woman in the cowboy hat could once more
be the belle of the ball
I was never the girl
I was the girl before the one
I was the girl you had for fun
But I was never the girl
I was never the girl you tell your mom about
But always the one your friends made fun about
I am always the one of your favourite situationship
Never been one of your relationship
I was never the girl
I was never the girl you would like to hold on
But always the girl who gave you a shoulder to cry on
Never the girl who got your sweater
But always the girl who knew you better
Never the girl to be a part of your story
But always the girl in your hazed memory
And maybe that's why
That's why
I relate so much with this line
always the bridesmaid never the bride
Always the writer never the lines
Cause I was just another girl
But never the girl
She is as pretty as her bridesmaid cake.
She popped off the top and showed us her roses.
We were excited about her enthusiasm.
But she had to sit on the cake, right?
Maybe not because she refused.
A cake decoration that had a mind of her own.
We were surprised by her antics,
But no one could talk her back up there.
I cannot sit still when I could dance, she told us.
Her steps included spinning, whirling and twirling.
She did a pirouette that amused us.
Then she skipped out the door.
The next cake decoration had better not be animated the cook said.
I could not guarantee him that.
We get these cake toppers from an enchantress.
As I entered the wedding hall, the lovely music began to call
I saw her sitting across the room, between the bridesmaid and the groom
And as I walked in her direction, I felt my heart beat with affection
She looked at me in desperation, her eyes were full of admiration
And when our eyes were locked together, they whispered love to one another
Her lips were red and eyes were blue, there was no time to think it through
As we exchanged words of greet, people around us felt the heat
I felt her love burn in my heart, I should have known from the start
When she spoke her words were potion, they put my body into motion
And as we danced into the night, her magic spell brought me delight
For those of you who know the feeling, from the spell of love there is no healing

Acorn hair please the squirrel said as she scooted into the chair
Same color or shape or both? Asked the beautician named Mare.
Whatever you can do, but it has to be done exactly right.
Because at six o’clock I am eloping, this very night.
So, Mare did her best, and the squirrel was pleased in all ways.
You have a great night, she said. This is one of my best days!
She invited Mare to be her bridesmaid that evening too.
But alas, Mare and her family had something else to do.
Callie Croakers was always a frogmaid, never a bride.
Her disappointment she very often would try to hide.
You have more dresses than anyone know I said.
But she lamented, none are my favorite color, which is red.

We giggled on Sue's wedding day
She walked with her dog down the aisle!
Fresh flower bouquet's - so passé
We giggled on Sues's wedding day
Sue held a quirky food bouquet!
Her canine bridesmaid made us smile
We giggled on Sue's wedding day
she walked with her dog down the aisle!

Roberta lived on this earth for so many years!
Was a great mother, wife, and grandmother, too.
A long and fulfilling life with joy, completion and no fears.
I was a bridesmaid, when she married my first cousin.
A match truly designed in heaven!
Their life filled with fun, music boating and events by the dozens!
God called Roberta home, this cold wintry day!
She was gravely ill and had to go.
Roberta! So very lucky to see your God, without delay..
Farewell and hugs, your life was one loving awesome show!
To my Cousin Dennis~compassionate husband and so sweet a soul!

Condolences and Tribute
As her loving caregiver, Dennis, I know you are shedding tears.
We were all raised to know that we all will be in heaven.
For that we do know, that is the prized, golden, final goal!
~Peace and love, Cousin Dennis~

Happy Birthday, Tom
Another beautiful year with relatives and friends.
The beautiful wedding at Pioneer village, where Tom and Gail married,
With the horse drawn carriage driving past.
Antje was a flower girl,
Gwen was a bridesmaid.
The exquisite house you purchased,
The blessed event when your children Patrick and Frieda were born,
The honorable days as a teacher and friend,
Now happily retired.
The beautiful days at your trailer,
What blessings, we remember our Father Dr. Wolf and Dr. Erika.
I hope you have a healthy and happy year,
Many years to come.
Your children are very accomplished ,
The nice letters Frieda writes ,I enjoy receiving them.
I am very proud of your children , my niece and nephew.
I hope that you have an excellent day with your relatives and friends.
God bless you on your birthday,
Have a wonderful day from your sister Gwen and relatives.

Wading in the river, shining hook wrapped, the flyfisherman casts
but the fish just stare at his lure, for a fly does not enter a closed mouth.
At the breakfast table everyone passes the pitcher of cream.
Mother puts a napkin over the top, for a fly does not enter a closed mouth.
Flying down the freeway, motorcycle roaring
we have our helmets on, for a fly doesn’t enter a closed mouth.
Daddy puts his sons before him asking about the mess.
The brothers just look at each other, for a fly doesn’t enter a closed mouth.
The bridesmaid isn’t smiling for the bride, when they say ‘I do’;
she’s stifling a giggle, for a fly does not enter a closed mouth.
