O, boorish me… O, dullard me
She did not marry me for my personality
My bon vivants surely did not pay the rent
I was much less Superman than I was Clark Kent
A stylish dancer I was not
My feet got tied-up in a sailor’s knot
As for culture, I had none … gol-darn
My favorite painting was “The Cow by the Barn”
Despite it all, she proposed to me

Donald J. Trump
A very boorish chump.
Tony S. wrote his "Art of the Deal"...
But it's still Trump who complains about the steal.
He is boorish, churlish, an overbearing lout
my old maiden aunt introduced him all about
he’s my man, she announced, with a giddy shout
they are a matched set, I have no doubt
Soft dreamy rainfall,
prelude to crackling thunder;
Tempestuous sky;
Attracted to heat
boorish Storm bothers the Sun,
electric novice;
Going back and forth
argumentative nature,
hail will never cease;
Camouflage of drops
design an unskilled picture;
Diamonds in a pond;
The water collects flooding,
a new world waits to unfold.
Lumbering bulldozers grind
and rip trees and shrubs
from the empty lots, competing
with gas fumes, the noise
of trucks, and honking horns
on the busy thoroughfare.
Two gracious houses,
once precious home to families,
but long abandoned
and fallen into disrepair,
smashed to kindling,
hauled away for scrap
Just up the grassy hill
behind our senior residence,
we’ll watch another
commercial business go up.
Recent car wash on the corner,
now another bank? Fast food?
Alongside our apartments,
in the past, a Christmas tree farm,
sweet smelling pines replaced
with roads and new homes,
manicured lawns and two-,
sometimes three-car garages.
Countryside eaten away
by ever-increasing population
with insatiable desire for the
shiny, new, bigger and better,
for the quick and easy,
immediate convenience.
Afternoon teas exchanged for
socially beneficial cocktail parties.
Casual-, even sports-wear, in
the finest restaurants, rudeness
and boorish comments the norm,
“Gracious” suffering a slow death.
Crown jewels look like paste the boorish president said.
Queen Elizabeth’s eyes rolled back into her head.
He is such a nonsensical person, said everyone there.
How had he gotten elected? Were American's heads full of hot air?
He made some other silly comment about wanting a hamburger instead.
He is not right in the head, the chef said. Not right in the head.
Queen Elizabeth is in heaven now rolling her eyes at the USA refrains.
They might reelect this idiotic idiot; where are their brains?
The child allowed to have their way,
And do whatsoever they may,
Who is not taught to have restraint,
Develops traits that their life taint.
The rule of appetite destroys,
And undermines life’s lasting joys.
It makes the human being a slave,
To whatever his passions crave.
Instead of reason taming urge,
Unruly urges reason scourge.
The man becomes a boorish brute,
Unanchored from his soulish root.
The home should be a training ground,
Where order reigns and love abounds.
Here children learn how they should live,
As parents sound instructions give.
When parents fail their job to do,
Society pays a high price too,
with citizens who lack the traits
That makes a nation truly great.
So many lives are ruined wastes,
Destroyed by drugs that make minds race.
Because of lack of self-control,
Men wreck their lives and lose their souls.
The quest for power, wealth, and fame,
Becomes for some a raging flame.
They live their life to make a name,
But often their life ends in shame.
Don’t let your body rule your brain,
let brain over your passions reign.
Make it your goal to become good,
To be the best a human could.
Yesterday when I was foolish
I was hard-headed and at times boorish
I played the games that I could not win
Just to cause my world to spin
I walked the paths of pitfalls and thorns
I walked on embers and I grew some horns
I challenged the might of faith
On tawny trails, I dared my fate
I looked at love like trophy and token
I gathered some hearts and left them broken
I dared not to know bronze from gold
For, in my own wisdom I used to hold
I never cared for what I lost
Until my past chased me like a ghost
I wish I could forget the ghosts of yesterday
So to the heavens up above, I pray
2nd place
A garrulous, loquacious, querulous person can be extremely jejune and petulant.
In other words,
They are usually wordy, talkative, cranky-whining and often dull or ill-humored people.
My neighbor owned a rooster on his lot
That woke me at four each dawn on the dot
Recently, I haven't heard
Crowing from that boorish bird
l I pray he was tossed in a boiling pot
Sugar daddy says,”
So gorgeousness like my last daughter
And my first granddaughter.
My wife complains daily but she is bulkiness.
Shame does not swill out,
I ‘m cleaning my blood
And breaching a boorish teen girl.
She desires a person
like her daddy,
Cash closed her sight.
I ‘m like a babyish,
And she calls me,
Come babe-baby.
She always says, ‘
Love doesn’t get old;
Ready money doesn’t have
Disgusting Odour.’
She has long teeth to bite
Big birds on the baobab.
She does not get healthy food
But diseases,
Destroying without delaying.
Go well in hell,
Brainless dearest.”

Remember Your Roots /
Pure milk and honey in Africa only
Hurry up! Barry the boorish bulldog urged Priss the poodle.
There are others here who want to unwind their noodle.
Is that surly curly still in the bath? Is she getting her legs waxed?
German shepherd’s temper was being severely taxed.
Move over a bit so I can reach the sink!
Said a beagle who was trying to get a drink.
The bathroom was filled up with dogs of variety of pedigrees.
They were hopping around on fat legs that had chased a good breeze.
How many more roommates are we going to get?
Yelped a blue heeler with sass who was throwing a fit.
The puppies barked, and the old dogs passed big gas.
All of them ready to leap around on some grass.
Interrupting a person in a rude way
Makes me irritable much of the day.
I do not yell and scream or even say.
But it makes my heart unhappy and gray.
I would rather be alone, sitting without a word
Than to be interrupted, which is totally absurd.
It shows a lack of manners, empathy or technique.
It’s something that only a boorish person would seek.
“Excuse me!” is ridiculous when they decide to interrupt.
It makes me angry. My bad feelings are ready to pop and erupt.
Pretending to be mannerly when you are in every way rude.
Makes me angry, positive proof that you have the wrong attitude.
O, elvenstone! O, elvenstone!
O, would that you could be my own.
To quest exhausted, all these years,
And not obtain those pointy ears
To sharpen sense, to hear my phone.
O battle axe! O battle axe!
For thy pursuit, my patience lacks.
Through garbage bins in fishing wharves,
Midst arguments with boorish dwarves;
My neighbor’s tree needs forty whacks.
Fine coat of mail, thy filigree
Would sure enhance the likes of me.
So tightly woven, silver, pale
Protect unwanted barbs’ assail
When getting honey from my bees.
Thou mighty blade, enchanted runes
Do grace thy hilt but not those hewn.
Sure, separating sinew, bone,
Ne’er losing edge in dirt or stone,
When Saturday, the hedge I prune.
I think that we can both agree:
When I immerse in D&D,
I get so caught up in the game,
Imagination is to blame;
Sometimes I blur reality.

RPG - role playing game - I used to play Dungeons and Dragons some 40 years ago when you used dice and mapped everything out on graph paper. I imagine things have changed a bit since then...
