Black Friday
Draws attention to
The shelves..
Inviting the seeker
In all of us
To join in this
Seasonal story
Of frenzy..
A choice
To join or withdraw
Only enhances the
Seeker's persistence
And desperation..
Freedom may appear
With the ending of
The choice...
The homeless still are
The politicians return home
See you next year
I bought you a gift, Black Friday cheap
I hoped you would like it and want to keep
My credit card quaked and shook in my hand
I spent much more than I had planned
Black Friday gripped me, bargains galore
I saw the glitter, glistening and spent some more
The gold so yellow, Black Friday blond, amber
Will drape with pride on your delicate camber.
Black Friday arrived, a wooden gift box hidden
Inside the thinnest chain your heart may be broken
The diamonds larger on the screen, but tiny reality
The gold a wafer, the emeralds pale lacking vitality
Black Friday lied and Black Friday cheated
My cards are naked, my accounts are depleted
I dashed in the morning through the showers
And hid Black Friday, with a bunch of flowers.

It should come as no surprise
that devil has evil eyes.
The day after the Thanks is done,
the greed for self gain has begun.
The sale of the year has just a few
of the items that cause tempers to spew.
And while yes it is true
stores have done it different the past year or two.
Friday morning the stores will host
shoppers that demand the most.
They even have “Black Friday” in Russia!
Don't have Russia chacters
Who would have believed it!
The whole wide world has gone nutso, nutso, nutso!
Thought for sure Putin would have abolished it by now
Oh well, Happy Shopping!
our bright side will come to an end
the Ancients did issue this protend
but there is still time
upon reading this rhyme
to give thanks to Black Friday and spend

The name so foreboding, the masses, the hordes
Enticed into debt by toys they can't afford.
Forced to wait hours for bright shiny trinkets;
"A 4 AM sale?" Who even would think it?
Drawn to the malls with the trappings and trimmings
Like moths to a flame, a cliff for the lemmings.
Surely this purchase will fill that great hole,
The empty, the desperate, the lost, lonely souls.
A purchase to relish, a bargain to savor,
Knowing 'twas snatched from the hands of a neighbor!
No, Black Friday highlights the depth of our greed;
A fit start to Advent: the Savior we need.
Their time together was heated
As she suspected he cheated
The lad did not know
No rain, no rain beau
So the cycle was repeated
A Friday from hell
I was writing about consumerism.
What is the point when people get up at five in the morning?
buying tumble driers that use plenty of electricity in a country
where the sun shines nearly every day.
A new computer when they can upgrade the old one is such
a waste of money.
I`m missing the point people like buying shiny objects
like crows drown to the sparkly buying new yes, the newness is the future.
When most of the products are made elsewhere
it does little to stem the mass- unemployment in this country.
The earth minerals to satisfy the useless.
I hear you laugh derisively; he knows nothing.
So, you can have your black Friday, and black it is when loans are served
at the end of the month.
The people are fooled and seduced by capitalism,
therefore, banning credit cards, when paying cash, one is more careful.
When Black Friday comes, I am looking up towards heaven. No riches and material things on this earth that perishes can equal to God’s riches my brethren. Soo many people rush to get that item that is on sale. Their is nothing on this earth that is man made which will prevail. Open your eyes for the higher prize. Open your mind and be wise. Knowing the things which will come is far better then the things out here which is some. Don’t aim for temptations and desires but rather aim for celebrations and God’s grace which is brighter. Nevertheless reach for your soul because what’s inside will make you whole. Black Friday is just a moment of disaster but When Jesus Christ comes back, he is taking what’s his and leaving everything else behind in the rapture. So Heaven should be called your Black Friday because that is the place where you can peacefully rest and lay. God bless everyone for all eternity, we should all praise and worship our lord and savior Jesus Christ who is a part of the trinity.

But fair warning come prepared
All is fair in love and war
Off to the races, running...
from pillar to post,
from store A to Z.
a mad dash for...
sweet deals; the bright light
of sheer excitement...
grace the faces
of early shoppers.
'Tis that time again...
for bargain-hunting.
So good luck, if it's your thing.
Don't be left with slim pickings!

Black, black
Born black
Head to toe black
Back black, side black, cock black
Every inch black
Midnight without a star,
Black Friday, black Saturday, every day black male
Black out from home
Black in the pen
Ba, ba, black sheep off the streets
Whack, whack stocked against black Jack
Black hair, black beard
Pirate, attack black
Rat-a-tat, payback
Skin shine, melanin design, black Knight
Black Friday night
I won’t shop Black Friday
because I’m not ready
to fend for my life
in a scene rough and heady.
So call me a coward!
You won’t see me fight ‘em,
and risk getting maimed
for a much-desired item.
