Billowing Poems

Premium MemberForest On Fire

The dense smoke billowing throughout the morning air
Flames jumped from tree top to tree top putting us in deep despair
With each step, our breathing becomes more laboured
The intense heat that envelopes us is surely not doing us any favors
To make matters worse a strong wind is now fanning the flames
Branches on fire escape from their trunks now litter the terrain
Just to add to our plight the noise that the blaze creates is so deafening to endure
Time to find our way to safety is running out, that we can say for sure
Just when all hope would appear to be lost, a voice can be heard
Off to our right, a firefighter appears ensuring us a safe return
To the brave people who rescued us today, thanks are hardly enough
To all first responders, I salute you for being in harm's way to protect us

Ode To a Billowing Skirts Hem

The hem of her skirt,
Billows,
With her fond sweetness,
As she upon her stilletos,
Balances,
Within,
A diamond stillness,

Her hem,
Sighs,
With a nostalgia,
Of romance,
In the undulant wind,

Waves of surreal petals,
As the moon,
With its exotic flowers,
Singers,
And dancers,
Blush,
With a serenity,
Of rhythms,
That kiss,
With adorations,
And loves,
Firmly tender wings,
Her Beauty and hems,
Vast loveliness

A young lad studied the billowing cloud
Like a sculptured marshmallow in the sky
Giant pillowed fluff, imagine the puff
"Magic!" the boy said to himself, aloud
A giant toadstool rising from the grass
Dreadful overtones; he remained unbowed
Chill bumps rising up on the young lad's arms.
Never before his senses had allowed
Such a billowed mountain of cumulus high
Imagine the puff, giant pillowed fluff
Raining on earth such devastating shroud.

Drawing
into the golden sun streaked center of clouds
Floating
          Free on our unshackled journey
Drifting
In the mystified velvet of its tender flight
Searching
For the divine moments of blissful love
Riveting
          In our hungry hearts bursting
Singing
To our wanting world below filled with hope
Chanting
With the breath of lifted spirits we fly
Guiding
Us to the light of serenity and revelry
Transposing
Life as our gilded gift and joyful mantra
Narrating
          Our story of destiny

In divine moments our lifted spirits fly
To the center of sun filled clouds floating high
With our hungry hearts bursting
To understand...................

Why?

From the Little Screen

Crispy wispy clouds, it’s ever morphing silhouette.
Billowing sea of silver swirls under huge cover of quite graphite.
Flying through cumulonimbus monster, is my love and my delight.

I captured a ride on a gray dark cloud
A moment of madness screaming out loud
Voices within dared me to escape
The ground below regardless my fate
It floated quite fast through valley and hill
Oblivious eyes unkeen to my skill
Lightening and rain wind and hail
I held fast to the clouds’ invisible tail

Apricot marmalade wispy clouds upon the blue
canvas, swiftly changing sunrise reveals a surprise_
charcoal gray, a textured smoke billowing askew
across the eastern sky, Suddenly diamond dew
drops fall upon grasses, Everything expressed anew
as the sun rises, the moon bidded
adieu, this day will pass; tomorrow, too
Apricot marmalade wispy clouds upon the blue

Billowing Out

The circus tent billowed out
Without a cry - without a shout
As inside the Ever-knowing
Like a silent wind were blowing

Outwards the light white cloth did billow
Turing bulging tent to softest pillow
Ready to break our fall
When we are ready to heed the call

Flimsy as it may seem
As wispy as a dream
The power and might
Of wrong and right
Will guide us down the stream

As the water flows down
The less we frown
The more we know
As less we show

The wind is within you, He softly said
As sure as I on Calvary bled
My righteousness into you
As in Me you may pass through

Yes, You are called by Me
He whispered lovingly
To do a work so profound
That to earth’s end it will resound

The time to move is drawing near
Leave your self and leave your fear
As my surging wind will blow
The leaves away – a path to show
For you to follow very soon
Before sunset, before the noon

Come, my son, come right now
Let me sooth your furrowed brow
Let me fill you with My love
With My power, my Holy Dove

Premium MemberFear Not the Wind

Fear not the fierce wind, o gentle heart
Though it may rattle the eaves
And give no ear to its whispers with nothing to impart
But shallow promises that hang, like dried, parched leaves

Listen to its mournful wails on the way to some distant shore
Leaving in its trail, the harsh rawness of a chill
And envy not; give pity instead; be sure to keep no scores
For the warmth of a gentle heart is by far, richer still

For who can fathom the baleful howls invading valleys below;
Billowing across the fragile earth and her boundless seas?
Is it in anguish that she protests; who can really know?
Yet, judge not, o gentle heart, but like a blade of grass amidst a storm
Lay calmly into the wind; rely not upon your strength; stay strong
