Best Unmeasurable Poems

Premium Member When Our Eyes First Met a Collaboration With Susan Ashley

When our eyes first met, in an evening's glow of twilight
the moon was rising, the world disappeared
I saw only you
we enjoyed a calm merriment
as love's breath crossed the unmeasurable distance
where we found a glistening glimmer of sensual glint

no words were spoken, none were needed

your eyes invited an enduring treasured moment of created memory
which will last through the harvest of our day's sweet nectared blossoms
and light the dim-lit nights
of entangled romantic interludes of welcomed fervor
wrapped in the wondrous arms of wonder
found in the silhouette of lovers painted in the moon-lit dark
where our souls reveal their ambrosia, without fear
in love's timeless universe of warm adoring realms of restive emotion
found in the eyes of paradise from our first greeting

when our eyes first met

sundown raised a golden toast to star-shows lovesome muse
vesper's champagne goosebumped in our veins
and filled a vacant streambed with a shifted stream
a plenished ribbon tying the juicy bow of our dewy dream
as sparks rained down we fell like two falling stars
showered in the shimmer of our dark-sky eyes
ready for the heady rush we rushed headlong
tipsy on the musk of jasmine air
a flower tucked behind one ear
petal-soft lips in search of honey sips
with readiness flaunted like an arched red bloom
as shadows supple like summer vines seized the Venus light
costly the mossy mat beneath our sleek backs
while the phlox moon blushed a pinkened swoon with our surrender

when our eyes first met west of sunset
the evening-star star dusted our gaze
I saw only you

as rainbow seasons whirl into December's pearl
hair once raven long since faded to dove
vintage heartbeats called in the past of the hourglass
tipping the balance in the fatality of time
yet-the old night hangs a Yule moon as full
as my arms are of you-still-

I see only you

It Is Not Night

Vast oceans of light
In the night flowing over us through you and me cant you see
Now there it is again light light love so faithful
Ever seeing clearer there is again light light light treasures so unmeasurable in
such a
Small weak vessel there is again light light light light
Oh ignites a fire consuming all
There yet nothing lost light light light light light
Rising brighter than yesterday will ever be light light light light light light
Under his guiding care
Everlasting so good there is again light light light light light light light resting in

I know sadness
it comes each day without my consent
and holds me before its easel
where it paints tears streaming down my face
beneath fading moons and portraits of yesterdays
that hang in the dim lit gallery of my soul
where no one comes but the ghostly shadow of you

For love were you and I on the canvas of time
with warm breezes and light footsteps
we kissed among the fragrant flowers
that wrapped around our hearts with glorious scents
we danced in twilight during setting suns
and held hands in the rush of tide
where are feet submerged
we made love in soft splayed light in meadows
where streams rippled in the distance
and birds sang on the farthest hills

but, hate took you away
and left misty eyes and outstretched arms
and an unmeasurable space between

for I am a common man
unknown to the glittering culture
of glowing jewels and flowing dresses
that surrounds your life with its cupped hands

the words "your not worthy"
echo still in my head
when your father pulled you away without remorse
to leave me bleeding on the sword of my desire
that he thrust through our hearts
with his old cold merciless rigid statement of classes

one day, I will find you again
until then
I'll know sadness...

Edenic laughter of childhood
Caressed by carefree joy
Take us with you
To the land of unmeasurable
Mirth with endless possibilities
God bless the besties
Young and untroubled
Stirring up the puddle waves
Making mud pies
Walking circles atop sandbox tire
Arm in arm
No enemies

Prejudice

Beautiful ponder how you meander
in all constraints of unmeasurable tender
you are mine.
And I shall keep you close.

Panjandrum is not your domain
so bear no false witness my friend
for I know thee well my perpetual self.
Misunderstood as you are,
in love we shall pertain.
And I shall keep you close.

Make no sacrifice to past missed
nor give offering from here to eternity
for you owe nothing to the disdain of prejudice.
Only beauty will keep you.
And I shall keep you close.

Premium Member Keep

I keep your beauty in my heart
like a precious jewel...that shines
in a twilight's trembling realm of passion
   seen in molten candlelight
whose flame will keep the intimate kiss
with all its contours rendered in a shade of perfection
that falls upon your face and hair
   where my eyes are lost
as your beauty welcomes me and my perpetual gaze
   where I cross-time
and find the unmeasurable distance between our eyes
   they reveal an enduring silence
that binds us to bountiful dreams of majesty
that allows all our senses to transform
   in a bond of purity
where all is understood when passion has flowered
in our secret garden of violin strings
and musical interludes we hear within
that play in the well of our heartbeats
and echo through the valley of a rising moon
   where we dance in silhouette
beneath a starry sky of goodness and grace
until a universe of velvet dreams pours over us
   like morning dew
in an emotional flowing warmth that tingles the skin
and drips upon the earthen ground
to sanctify the sacredness of our souls
that we keep as a beloved bestowal
that's given to those we find worthy of our love

Backstabbers

There are people who make up misguiding lies,
use words to hurt, wound and paralyze,
they put up'walls or mountains to the skies,
of unscalable heights and unmeasurable size.

They set us adrift on a windless wave,
to spew out their hate on an innocent's grave,
they slaver and foam like the depraved,
to fill us with doubt and corrupt the brave.

Their thoughts slither like a snake,
coiling around tightly at every slip we make,
their smiles deceive, their platitudes rake,
their contempt disguised with every heart they break.

They judge and convict with mirthless pride,
and condemn us, while acting our guide,
their two-faced grin, takes our own side,
while watching as into quicksand we smoothly slide.

Their pat on the back, their convincing hug,
leaves a slime trail, they're loathsome slugs,
their poisonous tongues, a mind blowing drug,
which alters reality, beware these back-biting dogs.

Back-stabbers, revel in such cruel intent,
puss breaking forth, from the infected utterance they vent,
troubled and weak, our self-esteem is rent,
when leached with glee, from the bearer sent!

Anacreontic Verse

I sit silent
within this moment
Not knowing
If you are willing
To touch me
in a way
that truly matters
For I need you
To caress my skin
For it has been
a long winter
of wanting
My skin glistens
April fresh
showered clean
for this reunion
Within my longing
My spirit knows
You don't sense my need
Although you feel close
There is a distance
Unmeasurable
Around your red glow
I feel sad blue
Please tell me
Why you keep hiding
Please break through dark clouds
gift me your yellow
Kiss me now
So that I "May" bloom!

Premium Member for someone

It’s hard to meet someone serious at college. Everyone’s busy,
self-centeredly grinding away at their dreams. So much so that
people tell you to not even try (especially as a freshman).

I was mostly at ease with myself—as a freshman. I had an
excellent skincare routine—it was downright luxuriant,
and it kept me going, through that romantically lonely year.

But we humans hope—we buy lotto tickets to dream on—though we know the awful math. We Gen Z’s seem to have our own unique brand of loneliness, born of covid and Internet-age experience.

My romantic expectations, sophomore year, were low—ok, unmeasurable.

Looking around was depressing. There were socially awkward STEM majors, jocks, frat men (sure the world’s laid-out just for them) and ‘CSOM Bros" (business majors more interested in parlaying my Grandmère’s money than me) and the elusive, emotionally reserved, ‘regular guys.’

But the unexpected can happen. We all know how crowded campus coffee shops are—the students move in and out in tides as noisy as the real, salty ocean. And then there you were, a rumpled, 25-year-old doctoral student—from another world—asking to share my table.

The loudest thing in that room was your sense of stillness. You seemed to be a new, and distinct species, and as we talked, you seemed to somehow smooth my anxious edges. After a few meets, the thought, ‘I really like this guy,’ seemed to have its own gravity.

We somehow managed to thread the ‘too busy to care’ dynamic, and as time went by, you helped me channel my absurd, fiery, pastel-painted, first-love, early-twenty girlhood heat into something longer lasting, deep and authentic. Congratulations! It’s been two years.

Separating now, would be like removing the salt from the sea.

The Deep Secret of Love

Our world was born from one genuine strong intention,
pressed in simple sentence,
one astonishing spelling out
the magical composed phrase
that deeply stressed frozen black matters
and born and expanded our Universe
with myriads bright stars
and galactics,
as a one wholly composure,
(where invisible and unmeasurable part and game
handred time more really and value
then what we could fixed),
have drifted to eternal motion
and come eventually to that unusual existence
with limitless secrets and powers in micro and macro realities
teeming inside and around us
in close and great distances,
with perfectly worked
and tuned physical constants and laws
as only truly vitnesses, ambassadors and heralds
of our transendence.

Try to do the same
on his small level.

Love also has
its hidden formula, cod and mission,
if you have a strong power and great passion
you might able to do it
relive and save for life
the dear one who look now maybe
as the world before its born.
Or try to resurrect our people and country
that too long suffered
from lack of perfect knowledge and love
for creating sustained and stable community,
pressed out by abundant black will, jealous and hatred
on the base of dack ignorance.

Nature's Phenomenon

NATURE'S PHENOMENON

Beauty that is the life phenomenon with the scenic view
But those who can feel it and mesmerise its bliss were very few
A quiet place , with breathtaking waterfalls covered in all mist
Emerging the unmeasurable ocean with its cool breeze
Winds swirling in the blue and limitless sky
It's like a presence of holy heaven somewhere nearby
It's reverence on the earth is so much rare
But the human will never knew and feel it as a spare
From dawn to dusk ,From sunrise to sunset
Biotic and abiotic components compiles like a illusion
Makes the mother nature and changes it's presence with seasons
It helps nurture ones soul, body and reawakens the lost spirit
Owning this earth is incoherent
But we can have its benefits and keep it safe as it was inherit!!!!!

Here Today, Gone Tomorrow

Someone once gave me advice
That same person cared
More than I realized at the time
Now forever a memory
One slowly fading with time
Know that I love you
And miss you everyday
My lifeline to the world.

A constant unwavering presence
Never will I find again
One so honest and open
The truth never hurt
I miss everything that was
What can never be again
Reality in all it's glory
A fading memory of wisdom

Strength and courage unmeasurable
Never truly reaching own potential
Always seeing in others
What not everyone could see
It's taken years for me to realize
Only after you've been gone
Do I see what I should have
That I have more to offer now

Weighing the Unmeasurable

When love is weighed against a precious stone,
The diamond surely earns its flawless boast.
As cruel time eats flesh and powders bone,
The rock retains one form, outlasting most.

While love alone won’t even tip the scale,
The crowning jewels could own the world;
While faith and loyalty can often fail,
The purity of gems can’t be unfurled.

Keeping love alive is an endeavor,
While a diamond’s luster never teeters.
Everyone knows diamonds are forever
Yet fragility makes love much sweeter.

White diamonds are reduced to common sand
While slipping in between my sweetheart's hands.

Premium Member Polyboxes Paradoxes

I faced alarming paradoxes
as I headed toward puberty.

First,
my King James Bible-belting parents,
extended family,
and all-hopelessly-WHITE farm community
taught me

God loves me
and all the children,
red and yellow,
and black almost as much as white.

That felt good
but then I learned God hates me
because I became queerly obsessed
with hot guys,
and not hot girls.
So, God restoratively created me
so He could retributively hate me.
That seemed like poor justice and peace planning to me,
and I was still in fifth grade.

Then I learned that God had given me two extraordinary gifts:
Possibly unmeasurable intelligence,
and so,
my grade-school principal warned
my evangelical farmer parents,
we were not to be surprised
if I was and saw this Earth
in a somewhat different way.

My second gift
was the envy of all good Bible-belting out and still-in teenagers.
I could sing with the angels.

So,
the God of Infinite Love
is my Creator
and I am His Frankenstein *****
with a mind and singing voice to soar,
full of Grace.

You and I might both be surprised
how long it took to figure out
Something is very wrong with this picture,
and I don't think it is just me.
It was merely everyone else I knew and trusted
in that Bible-belting time.

So I sang for them in full voice
but gave as little voice to my sexuality as possible.
I wrote papers and test responses
in full A+ voice
but told no one
I knew they were asking wrong questions
for me to answer with full-versed integrity,

Free to sing with David and Jonathon
free of magic superstitions
standing in for mythic polypathic wisdom
of Solomon

Not to divide innocent organic Promise
God has conjoined as Love
of and for children,
red and yellow,
black and white,
gay and lesbian,
bisexual and transgender

And, yes, even straight-faced
Bible-belted out and inward Hate,
Supremely Evangelical Christian Colonizing InBred Correctness,
while continuing to give birth
to hidden,
shamed and blamed ***** Grace
of a Loving God
polypathically immense,
deep and wide,
future through past
regeneratively just
and peaceful
and wickedly funny

Because if we cannot laugh at our egocentric stupidities,
then we must cry out for cosmic tragedy.

Premium Member When Will It End

When, oh when, when will it end?
The inhumanity that recurs again and again.
Mere mortals true, but true animals too.
Too many with hearts dark, through and through.

History stained with innocent blood drained,
The countless lives lost and nothing gained.
Sad excuses implied are forever justified,
Reasons unreasonable that leaves one mystified.

How long can this last, with such a tragic cast;
The re-enactment of our Medieval past.
On a bitter stage, we witness the rage,
That affects one and all; no matter the age.

The suffering masses and agonized classes,
Unmeasurable grief that nothing surpasses.
Chiseled in stone, the heartbreak alone,
Justice bereft and chilled to the bone.

With limited mind, can we hope to find,
A path that deems all as truly one of a kind.
When, oh when, when my friend,
When will humanity begin and insanity end?
