Best Unconfined Poems

Premium Member Bloodstone Truth

If truth had a color,
when twilight bleeds
burgundy rivers,
you’ll find these garnet
eyes pleading
to be heard through
poetic sunsets.
For I’ve been swirling
and twirling
through nomadic illusions,
like a goddess of
thunder with a tiger spirit,
never letting go of
the history of hurt,
left by the unkind mind
of inhumane humankind-
which throbs deeper
than the sharpest thorns
in peacock feathers,
that I’ve danced to -
in flawless frequencies
amongst abstracts
of an architect.

If truth had a tune,
It would be too ferocious
to be unraveled,
the kind of fire that
dares to burn,
the hellish tombs of terror,
constantly pushing
every contrasting dream
to be feasted upon
satan’s last supper,
painting every salvage sunrise,
with strokes of petrichor scent
dipped in astral rain-dreams.
As I’ve been the
queen of the night,
longing to soar
across the horizon
where unconfined
eagles and golden dragonflies,
shall tranquilize
this publicized heart caged
as a motionless mannequin
in a glass mansion.

If truth was covered in furry skin,
to glaze skeletons veiled
beneath crooning clouds,
it would be the beginning
of an unstoppable ending,
of an immeasurable
brokenness resting as
irreversible numbness.
As I’ve seen storms
brewing bruises
through seas of sorrow,
amidst illusory lakes
of rose quartz,
streaming down
emerald hills,
hiding the grotesque
kingdom of fragmented gates.

But what if truth
never was a matter,
as it’s all but mere myth
floating along golden ripples
in a pool of sentimental stars.
What if truth was
once a maiden in distress?
What if truth was
once a shadow in search of light?
What if truth was a fool
hoping to be dressed
in dancing dandelions?
what if truth is what
has got this onyx heart on fire?
Perhaps, truth lays in
the arms of a clock,
waiting for it’s turn
to make time stop,
when lovers destined to meet,
rebuild chess of life in ruins,
as footsteps on
glistening glaciers
reveal the secrets
left by snow angels
leading us back to
an unbreakable moon affair.

Premium Member Sweet Butterfly

Sweet Butterfly, with wings now dry 'tis time to break away
and light upon the leaves of dawn while weeping willows sway,
not reminisce 'bout chrysalis discarded yesterday,
but treasure life, with colors rife in nature's cabaret.

Sweet Butterfly, you sometimes sigh "terrene so strange and new”,
but take a chance, with winged expanse of fairy-like bijou,
to taste delight in random flight, to drift beyond the blue
and then collect her naked nectar, sipped in morning dew.

Sweet Butterfly, you question why the breeze is seldom soft
when swirling you, your wings askew, while floating free aloft.
Some seem to find their peace of mind believing gods have coughed,
but others, downed, have often found more freedom when they've scoffed.

Sweet Butterfly, you needn't cry, the fields are full of clover,
and meadowlands bare braided strands that winds in waves flow over -
but if you fear that, more than here, another mead is mauver,
just flutter by, beneath the sky, unfettered flitting rover.

Sweet Butterfly, farewell, goodbye, you've left this world behind.
I oft gaze back along the track of flowers that you've mined
recalling days of light sashays and movements unconfined
that complement the firmament where beauty lies enshrined.

Premium Member Defying Predictability

With hair ablaze
a jester unconfined.
I scoffed at the mundane
its life declined.
My wardrobe
a riot
a rhapsody bold.
Mismatched socks my standard
stories untold.

In classrooms of tedium
rules I'd defy
Grasping forbidden knowledge
'neath watchful sky.
Craving for wisdom in
esoteric wells.
Chased squirrels with saws
casting fanciful spells!

Detentions for antics
the school's icy stare
Derided in classrooms
a spirit too rare.
Math teacher's scorn
a job painting lines foretold.
I retorted, "How much does it pay?"
- detention took hold.

Mom asked me why I never brought my girls home?
I chuckled and said, "They're not the type to be shown!"
The wild ones
the rebels
the ones full of flame.
Not the kind for a dinner
not the ones with a name.

Misfits my comrades
a menagerie strange.
United in chaos
defying the change.
Years danced in a blur a pantomime bright
But a disquieting word a sense of not quite right.

A whirlwind of antics a panoply grand
Impromptu escapes with career-shifting sands.
Near-death encounters with fauna
a squirrel, perhaps?
But the thrill
oh the thrill
fueled my madcap laps!

The thrill of the unexpected
a fading strain
A gnawing suspicion
a predictable bane.
The mask I had crafted
of rebellion's grand guise.
Cracked and revealed
the truth in my eyes.

The jester unmasked with a lesson I gained.
That the extraordinary in the ordinary
can be just plain.
No longer I chase the fantastical dream...
But accept the real where
beauty can stream.

For the truest defiance lies not in the fight.
But accepting oneself in the ordinary light.
So here I stand
flaws and all
unashamed.
The laughter remains though the fantasy's tamed.

With lessons in tow I'll mend and I'll mend.
Explore the mundane and find joy till the end.
For the greatest adventure
in life's simple quest...
Is finding the magic
within one's own breast.

Book: Radiant Verses: A Journey Through Inspiring Poetry

Love

Love is like a fire
It often expires
A comfort that revives
Your tender soul alive.

A blind joy soaring
The loveless signs ignoring
It rises high with freedom's grace
To spring a blush upon your face.

Love is sweet like antique wine
It breaks the fetters of loveless mind.
Love is loving all the time
Love is a spirit unconfined.

Love is a constant kindness
A joyful untamed madness.
Love jealous not
Or is a selfish glut.

Love is a divine quality
Expressed in purity!

Premium Member Where Clover Grows

Where clover grows and rivers wind
Across green meadows, daisies find
A honeycomb"s sweet pattern weaves
Around the tulips graceful sleeves
In pastel clouds of blue combined

With pinks and purples unconfined
Yellow following close behind
And winter's sister takes her leave
Where clover grows

As hummingbirds and bees remind
Cruel April also can be kind
Wings bloom as butterflies believe
A warmer land offers reprieve
And spring arrives in sunlit minds
Where clover grows.

Premium Member I Cannot Give Account

I can not give account of ways that I love you
For there’s no conscious thought to clothe the undefined
The boundless universe has left me not a clue
And so the vastness of my love stays unconfined

It is beyond the reaches of your searching mind
A feeling and belief that you are all I need
The end of this conviction you will never find
And fibers of my life on wonders of it feed

And so you rest in comfort and you are content
Though not a seasoned word I’ve uttered or expressed
The knowledge of my love my eyes to you have sent
You feel it’s sovereign power on body I’ve caressed

There are no ways for me to show my depth of love
But rest assured that time will testify for me
Each day, each month, each year and life in heave’n above
Will be the ways you long for through eternity

Fate gifted us, drinking passion from its chalice,
Waking flames serving first to increase our ardor;
Summer, your sweet roses covered our great palace,
This time away from your touch, became much harder.

I look across this wind-blown majestic ocean,
Mind turns to epic sadness of our parting hour;
I begged then for distance erasing potion,
I tried to remain your rock hard castle tower.

The desperate, longing look- your beautiful face,
Informing me the dire depths that you found this clutch;
I reminded, you no distance, could our love erase,
Or lessen my need to feel your soft, gentle touch.

Last week, I sent you a love-soaked, tear-stained letter,
Now, I board ship bringing me to my one true love;
Reading my golden love sent, you will feel better,
Not again, my love's touch, shall I deprive you of.

Premium Member Secrets That She Keeps

Secrets that She Keeps

hidden deep within
are secrets that she keeps,
as playful thoughts begin
that make her passions leap.

tender thoughts of him
are roaming through her mind;
these musings less than prim
that blossom unconfined.

dreaming of his touch,
the warmth of his embrace
while held tight in his clutch,
her hands upon his face.

longing for his love,
and hearing tender sighs
while gazing from above
into his soft brown eyes.

ardent are these dreams
but never can they be;
his love is pledged it seems,
alas, his heart’s not free.

tempted with this sin
her smile an impish tease
‘cause hidden deep within
are playful fantasies.

Premium Member Immortal Rolling River

A ribbon of blue snakes through the hills
Carving its path as it meanders along
Rushing and gushing down to the sea
Burbling and gurgling, hear it singing a song

Watch it dancing around with a will of its own
Freely flowing until the end of time
Shimmying over pebbles and rocks
Its unconfined movement is simply divine

It will live on as long as rain falls from the skies
The end of the world will be the river’s demise

Premium Member Lamentation

Lamentation

born among the travelers of her day
she played in the sandpile with Woody Guthrie
sung in the chorus with Allen Ginsberg
walked in the way of The Weavers
and bathed in the rhythms of Miles Davis
she lived unconfined and dreamed of change.

today, we see her still betrothed
committed to this sacred ground
searching asking, questioning, ...
consumed with her desire to know
engaged to a doctrine as a lover's pledge
she marches, occupies, writes,
relentlessly struggles, driven to ask
to whom shall she lament
for life's ambivalent adaptations?

her life defines her cogent mission.
she continues to flay against an unjust world
where equity kindness trickles down
and evaporates among negative forces.
shall she rage against God
for not eliminating suffering
in the details of man's creation?
shall she cry to the architect
who left man to face the agonies
of hunger, war, sickness,
and the loneliness of death?
to whom shall she lament
for life's ambivalent adaptations?

will the glorification of beauty
love, compassion, and mercy suffice?
will her breath, touch, hearing,
sight or taste suffice?
will her ancestors, her tribes
her spouse, her children
rise up and see her as blessed?
or will a requiem be the one
purpose of her life's fulfillment?
to whom shall she lament
for life's ambivalent adaptations?

As our golden years began,
you and I made a pact.
In youth we once soared high,
but now our skin is cracked
and our best years seem hijacked.

When I was diagnosed with illness,
you were the first person I called
and I marveled at your stillness.
You didn’t phone for weeks; I was appalled,
being tossed away by one who’s fat and bald.

Looking for a replacement after four years.
the next day you were on dating sites,
Is your tired old photo being met there by cheers?
Pact-breaker, this just bites!
I won’t be there when they give you last rites.

Any woman you find won’t stay with you long;
sarcastic cheaters stay with their kind.
Perhaps another innocent will come along,
but your whiskey and alcohol she’ll leave behind.
Yours is the fate of one who by a pact won’t be confined.

Footprints 2

"footprints 2"

"Go gliding like an Eagle
where Poets go
music will lead -
through truth,
Love will show"
He said,

"When you think
all is gone,
that’s where real
Love
will show..."

"Fire and Lava flows,"
He said,

"Hell freezes over
While Snowglobes
are turned upside down
and smashed on
The Road..."

Teardrops on The Fraz
knows,
watching
tears falling warm
tears falling slow

He turns over
The Snowglobe

The Past
slowly lets go

From a prison
released
Solitarily
Unconfined,
Slow

"Go gliding like an Eagle
where Poets go
music will lead -
through truth,
Love will show"
She said,

"Freedom. Keys. Piano."

Premium Member Finding My Muse

The surging stream cascades in swirling ebullience
Through dancing shadows of swaying trees entranced
The spectral dew drops draping the glinted grass tips
Weave lattice of splendor on the meadow bejeweled
The drizzling dust on moonbeam in blue satin night
Adorns the pearl laced waves of rolling sea beguiled
That’s where I look for my muse elusive.

Up above the majestic mountain’s serenading slopes
Waits the sun-soaked summit of ecstasy unclimbed
Far down the verdant valley’s slithering spine curved
Sparkle emeralds on picturesque plains untreasured
The rain-washed sky spreads the tapestry of dreams
Of chromatic imagery on rainbow horizon unreached
That’s where I seek out for my muse concealed.

The sun rises with the grandeur of the nascent dawn
Lifting the veil of miasma from the sense of unfeeling
The winds of imagination blows on the mindscape
Raising the dust of all dormant emotions unbound
Turning them into a surging storm of creative urge
Flying the muse to me with afflatus unconfined
That’s when it makes me a poet profound.

In Shadows Deep

In shadows deep, where silence weeps,
A heart once bold, now quietly sleeps.
My brother, dear, with dreams untold,
Faced a world that felt so cold.

In mirrors, he searched for who to be,
A dance between truth and what others see.
In the light of dawn, he sought to find
The pieces of self, intertwined, unconfined.

Each struggle, each tear, a story to share,
A journey through pain, a breath of despair.
Yet in the night, he found his grace,
A spirit unbroken, a gentle embrace.

In shadows deep where silence weeps,
A brother’s heart, a sister keeps,
Through tangled paths, your truth unfurled,
A journey brave in a shifting world.

Each whispered doubt, each tear concealed,
A struggle fought, yet love revealed,
In every scar, a story spun,
A bond unbroken, two lives as one.

Though time moved on, and seasons changed,
Your spirit soared, yet felt estranged,
In memory’s embrace, you still reside,
Forever cherished, my heart’s great guide.

So here I stand, with love so deep,
In memories cherished, your soul I keep,
For in the dance of life, and dreams that soar,
You are my sister, forevermore.

Tears

Tears
An irrelevant fact of life
Something that requires an explanation
Something that penetrates you with an incomparable dissatisfaction

Tears
The water that humanity expresses
The true meaning of feelings
That surrounds us with a thousand fortresses

Tears
The dryness that drives you insane
A preexisting force
That makes you feel no pain

Tears
A sign of accomplishment
A happyness that gives you
The powre to be unconfined

Tears
It lurks in your mind
It is an immature state of humankind
That has ddrove us into our
Indissipable worlwide bind

Tears
Something that defines you
Something that describes what
You are and what you are going to be

Tears
A love-hate relationship
Peace
