Where Clover Grows

Where clover grows and rivers wind Across green meadows, daisies find A pattern of honeycomb weaves Around the tulips graceful sleeves In pastel clouds of blue combined With pinks and purples unconfined Yellow following close behind And winter's sister takes her leave Where clover grows As hummingbirds and bees remind Coy April also can be kind Fragile fawns walk as they believe A warmer land offers reprieve And spring arrives in sunlit minds Where clover grows. 4/30/22

Michelle you have written about a Springtime wonder, a magical season awaited by all that lives on our planet which slowly and magically awakens to its warm wonder, and it's inviting colorful nature changing, as if it enjoys fashion to always matching its surroundings and blending in with its brothers and sisters. EXCELLENT POETRY! Hugs and blessings, Jennifer

Michelle, you have done a wonderful job. Rondeau is always a difficult form of poetry for me. You have done it without effort in neat flow....! This goes into my FAV.

Ah, it's been awhile since I've lost myself within the beauty of your soulful poetry, Michelle, but I haven't forgotten how much I relish it. Your exquisite rhythm and rhymes takes my heart's imagination to where clover grows. I adore every line of gentle yet vibrant imagery and metaphor your gifted pen bestows upon the page. I especially loved " winter's sister" and "fragile fawns".. indeed April can be fickle and new life delicate, you capture the season with finesse. Warmest wishes.. ~Susan

Michelle, your love of clover spills from every line. The lovely colors you sprinkle in all sing of spring, and your fragile fawns speak of new life and turning the corner towards warmer days. I just love 'the tulips graceful sleeves', and 'spring arrives in sunlit minds' is a classic line, just pure poetry. What a springtime jewel this is, going into my faves ~ John

Love this Michelle, reminds me many years ago, in the dales of Yorkshire, after a rain fall, the perfume of clover lingered in the air for an age. Your poem takes me there, thank you.
