Best Tunefully Poems
Cool wind whispers on the breeze
Shimmering sunshine warms the autumn leaves
Dragonflies dance over a sparkling lake
Slithering silently is a sleepy snake
Beauty surrounds, just open your eyes
Embrace our world, its simply paradise
Blackbirds sing a sweet song
Tunefully twittering all day long
Farmers plough the patchwork fields
The seasons provide; nature yields
Our bountiful earth God reveals
Nature plays its hand
Rain rejuvenates our land
Oceans blue surround us
Flowing freely without fuss
Spring and summer
Autumn and winter
They always appear
Creating our year
Our beautiful
Simply wonderful

In a black and white world,
feathered fingertips caress
ebony and ivory keys -
melodically forming a myriad
of vibrant and vivid hues,
diversifying dulcet emotive reflections.
In a world of spoken falsehood,
expressions that cannot be spoken,
aid each truthful touch to narrate
speechless secret serenades.
For soulmates who choose to listen,
minds allure to the grace of
mellifluous sentimental symphonies,
harmonising hollow hearts through
tantric vibrations, gently echoing to
soothe sorrowful soundless souls.
Rhapsodic pianist strokes satin white skin,
tunefully kissing black lustrous lips.
Hearts play music secretly
establishing spiritual connections.
Ivory and ebony rectangles dance
in eternal kindred devotion,
igniting spirits to whirl to the
rhythm of sensual sensations.
Last note leads to another healed composition
as departing flames of passion illuminate lovers paths.
A blank page appears at the end of the song sheet.
Tired pianist fingers rest as the mind is absent of lyrics,
paralysed to play a melody for its own suppressed heart.
Lost, pondering mute tears which fail to cleanse its soul.,

Seraphic sand is sapped on the seashore
As swirling waters swallowed the load roar.
The roiling river rapidly ground to an oar
Shore seaweed—pure praise to restore.
A skylark beat the cords, its wings galore
Brilliant sky; rapt gasp wails fading before.
Moon sashayed stars as it whiffed implore
Tides will come and flee—still nevermore.
Upon heavens, a moon casts a silvery hoar
On the whiffed coo, as the seas' soft afore.
Whispered tunefully while purling in abhor
I walked around tiptoes, humming a chord.
Until the sun rose with a blazing core
used their citrin cord to snag the spore.

Cruising southwards to LA from Sac
a midnight filled with songs ‘n Luna,
light-etching hills in a black infernal…
It was a leviathan’s back on which I
felt the tires unrolling a chilled grief ~
Owlish-full, a hypnotic moon, ‘n Dido
reminiscing tunefully about surrender
negating white flags and loves forlorn...
Inside the eye, a wispy face smiled hi
and gently slid open a papery fusuma...
Dazed, I held her gaze, so undead
Round face framed in softest ether
exhaling cool peppermint to inhale ~
Amaranth rains of fleeting gardenia,
mildly-scented dawn's astral gloam ***

In Memoriam Quietly Always Close
Are they whispers, then, settling
So gently upon that slightest breeze wending
Over the granite crosses and statues of cradling angels,
Which stand in their long cemetary rows?
Stating each name of the one passed on with
There-on etched, too, the noting of time alive
And telling of the beloved, who hum there their slow laments;
Who send up colorful balloons to celebrate their love and
Take far their silent greetings in the sky.
Are they lullaby heartsongs, which
Rise on sprigs of heaven-bound light,
So tunefully sweet for love’s addressed, aided
By a league of angellic composers
In their lyrical rounds from above our earthly sphere?
Are these the places of our hushed sympathies?
The places we lay over our dear ones
All the broken pieces of the grieving heart’s still longing
To stay in some way forever near, and, so, we linger thoughtfully
Criss-crossing the undulating final verdigris
Landscape, which embraces the last remains ~
Resting on in heaven’s wait for that further journey going on.
Are these faint mists surrounding
So many hours of our own remaining days —
Which are spent summoning back the stories, the touches,
The eyes that happily cast their glance into our own —
Not truly our tears
Being turned to magnifying memories,
Prayerfully appearing with each
Dusk’s close of day and placid rise of the radiant moon?
Do see that the soundless falling is our aching?
Is a furor — burst of pure, white snow:
A flash of a blizzard, looking nearly weightless,
Landing in silence, but
Incongruously, falling heavily down, into those forming crystalline layers
To dress a seeming lace-like çover over all the stone markers
With a luminous beauty, revealing a metaphor, ineffable
~ Blessed markers of life itself set here before us
Within reach of meeting the Divine.

Pristine and Pure
The winding road led to a chasm deep
below a cliff that proudly shows the view...
a silken, blue-green lake, lays like a gem
of opulence embedded in the rim
of tall, lush evergreens that now adorn
the natural setting so pristine and pure.
Within, the lovely birds exult their home
with calls and songs that flow so tunefully,
while hawks shriek out in tones of mockery,
their impetus to find and capture prey.
Upon this cliff I share in nature's joy;
vicarious, my thrill of standing here.

Blank verse
Amidst the budding
branches the Robin sings, the song is
carried tunefully in the spring air.
denoting that all is well in his world
Every sound listened to by all
from tiny field mice scurrying looking for food. to the
giant grazing cattle happily eating the young grass
Hammy hedgehog listens, his little tongue
is busy eating the cat food left out.
Jewel like blades of wet grass hide the
Koi carp swimming
lazily in the garden ponds, enjoying the sun's warmth.
Many beds of daffodils their perfume intermingle with the
nearby tulips who stand tall, their many hues
overcome your senses, the tiny snowdrops
perfume infuse with the hyacinths as they all
quietly make the colour and perfume of Spring.
Raised temperatures, bring out the people to enjoy the
sunshine to their bones, lifting their souls.
Taking notes of what has survived the winter,
unhappy when they find a favourite
variety of plant
wilted under the pressures of winter's
Xtreme cold.
Yes, spring means a smile to the face, a tear to ones eyes,
zest to the soul.

The Bumble Bee
Value the industrious bumble bee
Working all of the teeming daylight hours.
Fertilising crops for you and for me,
Taking pollen from the sunlit flowers.
Flying on the season's warm, scented breeze
Unlikely pilot of the summer sky.
Your antennae navigating with ease
The paths by which your queen, and we, rely.
How long without the bee would we survive?
Seeker of ambrosia where you alight,
Collecting nectar for your busy hive,
Tunefully humming on your fertile flight,
Working all of the teeming daylight hours,
Taking pollen from the sunlit flowers.

Sonnet
A suave gaze, woolly texture, embellished its gaiety gesture
The charmeuse moon, perched like a napping heavenly dove,
Clothed by swarms of floating stars, glazing its snowy allure,
Glimpses from immortality’s repose, a peek into celestial treasure trove,
Cashmere sparks chased, encroaching vestiges of darkness’ wilting cover,
Grotesque shades stealthily evanesced, like an absconder jilting a straylover,
Rustling forests fanned their chastity, into earth’s soothed solitude,
Only courting birds would through the soulful stillness intrude.
Fireflies roved like blazing butterflies, mountains gleamed from sparse distance
The night, suitor clad by fleeting flirtations of splashing romance,
Demulcent breaths of pulsating night, inducing like zephyrs opiate,
Fleshless caresses of moistless touch, evoked tranquility tunefully satiate,
Heaven’s graphics, sculptured in mortal picturesque of majesty astral,
Earth at night, an idyllic paradisiac mirror, of vistas ephemeral.

Tunefully
notes cry out singing to me
melodiously haunting ringing crystal clear
perfect sharps resound semi-tones rend through the air
quavers hover in the air so very many sounds
join together mingling, blending
Joyfully
I sing along music carrying
me to paradise sounds so sweet
flutes playing high notes drums bang out the beat
harps, oh the harps angelic notes float
rift the air celestially majestic

Light Verse
Your footprints are obvious at Christmas time,
In the snow, their size and their angle,
Which puts in the back of your mind,
Where you’ve been, your life’s history and tangle.
Becoming a question to others, prying dads,
After some weeks of that first glance,
Of your private footprints, your silent carriers,
They sit down asking you about your dance.
Different faith, different pathway to tread,
You duck the questions and evade carefully,
The inquisition and their formidable scheme,
To section you into a diluted, disturbed anomaly.
But on that first winter footprint so giving,
You took the opportunity to analyse,
Your whereabouts and your situation,
Successes, failures, and you don’t yourself tease.
Nobody was about, no stares or glares,
Nobody was there to deride or sneeze,
And you don’t tell anyone at home,
Only real friends and olders who please.
They believe in you and have your beliefs,
Not to exclude you or suppress your needs,
To look at you with kindness and affection,
Without preconceived ideas, laws or creeds.
They uphold people as fair and giving,
They include all and locate and care,
They place curtains when there’s shyness,
And converse so as with interests to share.
Snow can be so kind to the mind, tender,
Plucking tunefully at your memory,
So that you can build up your own character,
So that you too won’t be guilty of bigotry.

In joyous lands, many birds build nests while parading their fine and dandy selves, then
sing tunefully under vast watercolour skies.

as a fiddler
plays on
his fiddle
sweeping tunes
fills the air
enchanting waves
with magical kisses
cries out in song
sweet love
echoes deeply swimming
within an ocean blue
breaking foam
white upon the rocks
air filled mist
in deep soft texture
eyes sparkling
salted emotions
wavering shapes
little waves
dancing with feelings
within broken reflections
tunefully cries out
in a hundred echoes
seagulls lament
let love flow
into this ocean
one dream
a souls keeper
maiden of the sea
on your cool fresh breath
touching cheeks
lips moist
kissed you
thousands of times
embraced in dreams
love you are
the fairytale
shining deeply
within these waters
one flawless jewel

Reach Out
In sailing the fastest tack is a broad reach,
Sails both billowing and bird's wings,
Wind pushing, lifting, hull raising to plane screech,
Physical Therapy gleams & tunefully sings,
By "Reaching Out" like leaping whales breach,
Heartbeat increasing, beads of sweat glistening,
Reaching a challenge does teach,
By contrast missing a beat stings,
Making the most in "Out Reach",
Bow waves sprout as navigating in rings,
Around the buoys we steer and find our niche,
Steering clear of "rue-ings" setting sail for "doings"!
