Was that mark on my skin there yesterday?
There is no way for me to remember
A tattoo my shoulder did once display
Seemed to have disappeared last December

Now a red blemish is atop my hand
It resembles an octopus with wings
In bizarre motions it flaps when I stand
Fear to my heart this gruesome creature brings

But the octopus does not fly alone
There are centipedes, spiders and the like
Each day these ugly markings seem to clone
Apparently I’m no longer a tyke

If you need a tattoo, I’ve some to spare
More vivid they are as I lose my hair

I sip Long Island Tea, watch your bare knees upon the tiles,
the suits and Blaneks pass you, unaffected by your smiles,
you work so hard to brush the day's debris to ordered piles,
still, folks pass you unaware, kick your dirt without a care ...

You are a gem of nature - shining eyes that best the snow,
that grin of ivory brilliance noonday sun could not bestow,
with flawless cappuccino skin, buffed chocolate afterglow,
yet the steady passerby's find you something to despise ...

I see your nails are neatly trimmed, as clean as they can be,
work dress - pressed with utmost care, as anyone can see,
your hair up in a braided bun, and tied with ribbons, three,
but all that others do, is deride and snarl at you ...

I can not help but think just how absurd this is that they
can find you so deplorable - though somehow in the way,
when you are working hard for but a fraction of their pay,
and yet their views and skin are at odds, and far too thin ...

The madness of this picture gets too much for me to take,
I leave my drink to walk to you and take your hand to shake,
but as I do, you yank it back, as tho' some cursed mistake,
your complexion pales to wan - in an instant, you are gone ...

It's so sad their biased spell, has now chilled your heart ...

      as well.

( How horrid a reflection on humanity, that we can apply the label "untouchables" to others of our race )

A wet dirty pig shares mat with the king
to a pregnant whore, a priest is the cause
for days, man wears an old woman's stained string
mouth-sucks the pus out of Dog's wound, because
on-demand pleasure to both, it will bring
like twin siblings in unholy intercourse
pierced all round the face are hundred large rings
putting the exposed skin under a curse
freedom of expressions leads to bravery
making morals go out of season
decency tamed with a shrinking ovary
for every deed, there's no need for a reason
even this message and its delivery
is now considered human rights treason.

Where her obscure red rose tattoo was planted you would not believe it; near her bright
hazel batting eyes, above her left brow extending down to the tip of her nose.
Her hair was auburn and unruly.
She was daunting in hot pink and everyone stared because of her exceptional beauty.
It was startling that she was only four.
Luckily the scar was impermanent having come folded in a plastic ball only costing a quarter.

With ardent hands about our hips
and our thoughts being so unchaste,
let us together lock our lips
as love compels our lovers's haste.

This moment in time we're a pair
as we both do our very best
to disrobe our gowns without care
and explore our round, supple breasts.

We are moved with a lovers's zeal
to mate and join as one tonight
without need to doubt or to feel
if what we are is wrong or right.

Now our defiant love must dare
to earn its rights and longed-for rest
so Love's unwritten laws can declare
our union stronger than Hate's behest!

Taboo

they are the voices that go unheard all over the world

it takes more than time to say you changed it takes more than work

we cannot shed our stripes nor can we wash away our sins

do not touch but you can look how far is going too far

all the fantasies that swim in your brain are the ones that drive you insane

you read ***** magazines and pay for lap dances

make love to your wife thinking about the girl last night

you hide behing a facade of lies and deceit having everyone fooled

in your own quiet time you dress up in womens clothes and pose in the mirror

you jerk off to release your tension and recover

alone time is when you pretend your big daddy

tie a cloth around your hands and smack yourself silly

no one knows you have this way of life so you buy a hooker and cheat on your wife

with her you can be the freak that you are with her you can be free

you run a business all day and are in charge of many people

inside your feelings run rampant

you have urges you cannot control that cause you to ignite the flame

its only when your with your wife that you really feel ashamed

the problem with the folks today is no one can be themselves

so they disguise who they are and lie to the world

then when they get caught they blame it on everyone else

this is the taboo that noone wants to talk about but its happening everywhere

men dress like woman women act like men hookers are getting rich off our dirty sins

dont be ashamed of who you are because its how we're made

what destroys us in the end is everyone finding out instead of telling them

Shhhhh Menorrhea, a Taboo In India

You just don’t want me to talk about it
You hate it when we talk about it
You know you are a sheer hypocrite
Why do you think it is such an unmentionable affair?
All you know is how to impair, which is utterly unfair
Why can’t we talk about the menarche, unabashed?
When I talk about it blatantly, why do you stand aghast?
Value a woman’s body and this cycle, we don’t expect much
You are witless, don’t speak about it, you only have a doltish hunch
Just remember a man bleeds for death, for agony and for misery
Do you know why a woman bleeds? She bleeds for glee, for happiness and to create a new life

Premium Member Taboo Subjects

There are certain subjects that are taboo

When it comes to writing poetry

But I try my darndest to ignore them all

I guess I really didn't need to tell you that

It's fairly obvious I would imagine

Writing about apes with pink butts

But trust me I'm quite a sophisticated gentleman

Though sometimes these evil spirits inhabit my body

And I'm not responsible for what I write

I thought I needed to explain

Some of these recent over-the-edge presentations

What I'm trying to say is I'm getting help

But the doctors say I'm quite an anomaly

But again, I am getting help

Wish me luck!

A Haunted House Is Taboo

Four young boys had a Halloween plot to weave
to disprove the gossip they refused to believe,
rumors about an abandoned haunted house
where a psychotic man murdered his spouse.

They shivered in the dark upon their arrival,
all having second thoughts about their survival.
Upon each child's face, an apprehensive frown
then appeared a lady, blood stains on her gown.

Vampire bats swarmed, trapping them inside
tangled up in cobwebs except for one who cried,
"Quick! Run for your lives. The rumors are true.
I'm locked in a Zombie's jaws! This place is taboo!"

They heard growling voices, then the lady's scream!
Was this a nightmare, all having the same dream?
From fear they'd fainted, bodies found at daybreak.
Four foolish children, dead; their hearts on a stake.

I remember the feelings
I had for you dear
Images in my mind
so vivid so clear
I know it was true
you felt it for me

Twisted World

We live in a world
Where all things are moving
Where nothing halts
Where nothing turns back
Where all that it is is noise

We live in a world
Broken souls grace the streets
Hopeless lives is all that it is
Drive for money consumes minds
Shuttered dreams we walk on

We live in a world
Where cruelty is honoured
Where mercy is a suicide plea
Where love is a trashed word
Where pain is someone's cup of tea

We live in a world
Death is a wake up call
A call that requires a heart that listens
Listening is out of the context
Words wind washed

We live in a world
Religion is all that is
Routine is walking to church every Sunday
No growth,no grace,no glory
Jumping when the instruments are played
Clapping when asked to
Out of habit it is

We live in a world
Dependency has taken root
Financial literacy is foreign
Life is a hustle they all say
Daughters taught to not try hard
''It's a taboo for you to be highly educated
You must clean the dishes
You have to cook
You can't wear that
Dresses at floor length
Your hair done once a year
All in the name of ''wife material''
Sons taught '' I pay the bills i make the rules ''
It's a screwed nation
Devoid of pity
Ripped of mercy
Backwardness clouds their thoughts
Reprimands point all to revolutionists
Till when?
_kathomz??

Taboo

It's Allhallows Eve; and my alter ego makes me insane,
Tonight; the Devil incites me to kill once again.
Lurking in shadows, cloaked in darkness i reign,
In unlit back alleys, bleak foreboding terrain.,
Enraptured as death lingers on, in physical pain,
Wild frenzied struggles, and stifled screams are in vain.
As my razor sharp knife quickly severs, each carotid vein,
Spraying fresh blood feeds my lust, it's the mark of Cain.
Without absolution, the Devil's slave i remain,
While the Grim Reaper tempts souls, of innocents slain.

Taboo

Hidden
A secret
Must keep it
Forbidden to be in the same area or even seen with
Sharing a secretive kiss and passionate
Hugs and whispers of love
Outwardly detached except to who's above
Footsteps creeping wood creaking
Bed rails leaning wanting more than a fling
Yurning for the other perspective
All the guts but not the full glory of affection
My bed room you laying in
No
Must be like night.....silent
Holding close from a distance
Being cautious of signs n
Sunrise again
Gotta let go
Even tho
Shed no tears but my insides are welded up and drowning
Days to long til arms embrace and hair gets velcrowed to my face
The moon shines on my back as I make tracks from days lacked of poise
Coming in must make little noise
Fiddle with my lifesize toy that holds the key to this heart that's bolted shut and nailed up with boards
But can open all the doors
Sunrise again
Must place u in my head til the moonlight allows my heart to be opened
Always left wanting more
The bad breath
The nights not slept
The sheets unkept
The hair a mess
The pain and suffering
The stress
The whole Damn package
Just
Not so lucky enough yet
Until next time where the moonlight will hold the spell of a taboo love kept......Peace

Taboo Love

My Mamma cried
When she'd heard what I'd done
My Daddy went back inside
And he grabbed his gun

I'd met a girl on the other side of town
Of course I am white and of course she is brown
I don't rightly care cause we're both in love
And I ain't gonna let her suffer none

We's from Birmingham
Down South Alabama you see
If'in you must know the year
I'd say a shameful 1963

There was unrest amongst the people
Which was bad enough
But it was doubly troublesome
On our taboo love

Deep segregation kept our worlds apart
Something the youth of the day couldn't see
Outside color don't matter, it's what's in the heart
That's the hold she has over me

Not really sure things have changed all that much
Though it's our nature to want to pretend
I'm not much into caring what others might think
Sometimes you gotta stand up like a man

I'm telling this tale from my front porch swing
As I listen to my Grandchildren's playful screams
While holding hands rocking back and forth
My lovely brown skinned beauty and me
