Premium Member A Gift of a Lifetime - To End On Saturday March 20th 2077

I’ve received an incredible gift
It has given my heart such a lift
But the date that I see
Is what now concerns me –
It’s the date I no longer exist!!!

Today I was gifted a 'lifetime' premium membership but it is somewhat disconcerting to see it ends on 3/20/2077. I hope TPS aren't psychic!!!!

My mother's great great aunt lived to 111 and 121 days and was in the Guinness book of records - I hope I am around a long long time to make full use of this incredible gift.

Premium Member A Lifetime Together

You are the tea leaves, I am the tea pot,
I the tiny snowflakes, and you the snow,
Hand in hand we traverse a lifetime together--
Granting your half, you make me whole.

You are the smile on face of my happiness,
I am the shadow guarding your footsteps
Firmly in lock steps of today and tomorrow
Cherishing the yore and future of evermore.

I am the rose bush, you’re pink blossoms,
You the scent of flowers in my spring garden;
In quest of my life, you’re the only reason,
Flame of my soul, you light-up my seasons.

Together we paint our ebullient daybreak--
I the brushstrokes, you the magic wand;
You are the golden rays glistening dew drops,
I the voice of dawn, you the birdsongs.

In my concert hall you’re the orchestra,
You are the piano-music set to our life song.
I’m just the guitar strings, you the gifted artist,
Lyrics of love you are, in my romantic ballad.

On avenue of life, you’re my road signs,
You’re my compass when I’m feeling lost;
You are the lighthouse guiding in dark
On my dreary nights you are the bright star.

Premium Member No Other Lifetime

I don’t seek another lifetime
There is only here and now
Only these days and these hours
I have to make it last somehow

Only on this day to savor
Tender touch of body bliss
Only in the NOW to treasure
Give and take of hungry kiss

Here and now is what is gifted
Here and now I take a stand
All of life, and each desire
Now must bow to my command

I will bathe in passion’s pleasure
Dip into desire’s hue
Lose myself in wanton wonder
Wrap myself in me and you

Life another place won’t offer
And no other heaven waits
Nothing but the here and now, Love
Enter through MY pearly gates

Here I am; I lie here waiting
For the haven of your arms
Squeeze a lifetime in this moment
Let me revel in your charms

Here and now, don’t keep me waiting
On your lips is heaven’s taste
All the joy that can be gathered
Waits on these lips, cherry laced

Here I am, no promised morrow
This may be my last of nights
Never waking to the sunlight
Never knowing your delights

In this sacred tryst between us
Is the time for love to bloom
Here and now, is all we have, Love
Let our pleasures time consume

In the union of our bodies
In the beauty of this place
Is eternal timeless glory
In our hearts it leaves its trace

My Lifetime Friend: My Mother

MY LIFETIME FRIEND: MY MOTHER

Throughout childhood and adolescent days,
She was my staunchest supporter,
And through teen years and young adulthood
I was glad to be her daughter.
As a mother-in-law and grandma,
She’s there whenever/wherever she’s needed,
And if this was to be her lot in life,
She’s definitely succeeded.
But whatever she is to other folks;
A friend, sister or other,
She is to me, and will always be

Stages of Life

First you learn to crawl around
Then give a step a chance
Bit by bit you learn to talk
And not to wet your pants

When it’s time to go to school
Get on the bus and go
It’s scary to be on your own
With kids that you don’t know

Then you enter puberty
And share that first time kiss
A few bouts of puppy love
Then a love you can’t resist

Wedding bells, a honeymoon
A family would be swell
Diapers, bibs, a rocking chair
Night time stories you will tell

Start planning for retirement
You’ve got grandkids all around
Wrinkles come from nowhere
You know you’re slowing down

Now you reached the golden years
It’s time to just have fun
Take a nap, do what you want
Your race on earth is done

Smile, It's Simply a Picture

Smile, little boy. It's only a picture:
a gateway to memories you shall
never seek.
A frozen frame of forgotten fear
from falling.
So, smile now as you will be watched
through aged eyes.
Show those teeth, and tell yourself:
"No time was enough to tame my
iron will.
I was, I am, and I shall be smiling."

Smile, little girl. It's only a picture:
A time machine to mother's cookies
attempting
to mask the taste of daddy's
goodbye.
A preserved photo of a perfect
princess.
So smile now and laugh away the
trials.
Smile, young lady. Smile.
The same smile that makes you
beautiful.

Smile, world. It's only a picture:
A time and place only we can choose
to relive again.
A lesson flash frozen and scribbled in
the history books for insurance of
our evolution.
So look back and smile at the
caption of our origins: A still frame
of ancestors captured in the midst of
candid mistake as to say:
"I reveal to and leave you the worst
of me for the better of future face,
and you shall do the same..."

So smile for the snap of a present
imperfection
And be temporarily ignorant and
shameful, but learn:
All the world's a background, and life
is but a never ending parable, with
the virtues improved upon, and the
vices remembered for wisdom.
So, smile, people, It's simply a
picture.

Time, Take Me Away

Peering out my bedroom window,
alarm clock's beeping time away.
although the hour's ticking on
time has stopped; forever gone...

a burning torch has lit the sky
field mice toil through cedar pine
a parrot tidies up her nest
hatchlings clamor at her breast.

In my mind, I've drifted off
to places where "old" time can't go.
I daydream here and stay a spell
however long, I could not tell...

enshrouded in a cloud of dust,
streetlamps warm sand flies.
rain clouds slip behind the moon.
tree frogs croak in tune.

I can't remember where I went
or how long I'd been gone.
but here, I'll linger knowing I'm
just fond of wasting time...

Premium Member Time Unwinding

As time stood still in the presence of the King
Awaiting its order to commence
The King’s voice echoed throughout the universe
Silence ensued, loud and fierce!
The four winds ceased their stirrings
Planets froze in their stance
Blades of grass stood to attention
As time glided through its tubular channel
And began its appointed task

When a war raged in Heaven
A battle only Almighty God could win
The usurper was cast down towards earth
Brought slow, insiduous contamination
on an unimaginable scale and
Time remained forever tampered with
Now flowing backwards to begin anew
From the moment of birth, death comes stalking
Men lacking faith see wrong and call it right
And pride and ego brand minds and hearts

For the potent poison seeped through all
Every creature incredibly made would be tainted
For the author of sin now roams the earth
And peace since that moment, always eludes
Deception and illusions, endlessly, abound
Hatred and wars plague the seven continents
Families lie broken and the young despair
As our world unraveling spins out of control
Time will end when it arrives at its beginning
When the King will make all things anew

A Lifetime Blessed

A Lifetime Blessed

Winter fresh crystal clear
Lights adorn a home revered
Angels eternal essence glow
Mom and Dad your hearts pure gold

Love you always and forever more
Your love a gift I worship and adore

Springs external ray of hope
Planted memories sprinkle seeds of love
Childhood cherished infused by wisdoms light
We blossoms bloomed with your gift of life

Love you always and forever more
Your love has given me wings to soar

Summers robins cheery song
Feeds my soul with pride and awe
Your selfless devotion has never wavered
You shelter and nurture us still today

Love you always and forever more
Your love for one another is my pot of gold

Fall you did for one another
Pothole so deep there would be no other
Passion red and orange so sweet
Luscious green your love concrete

Seasons change each unique
Nature speaks but can't compete
You're my heart your every beat
My love for you is above and beyond the air I breath

Margins

Life's margins are too narrow for proofreading: a poor catch of extra commas, profiles of girls and monograms of insomnia. For literature, an earthly life is just a couple of words in a not too coordinated sentence, let alone the poetry: here the author's headache determines the character's lifetime, here the area of a paper sheet limits his rectangular space of life… At this moment the protagonist is wondering why his black coat, which he puts on only once a year on Christmas Eve when visiting his wife in Woodlawn Cemetery, is worn through and why a lonely old poet is so cold in December in New-York?

should author tell him
I don't think so life's margins
are too narrow for

my throat growls
breathless anticipation- -
I open your note

Never having heard your voice, I will choose, choose to love the way your thoughts
vibrate along my sympathetic spine, the intertwining, inclining, irritating, yet,
satiating flow of your verbs.

perfumed scent
wafts from tear stained pages- -
euphoria trails

Never having touched your skin, I will love you for the comfort tea of your purely
honest soul. Even though, I may not call to mind a scent, the musk of your cologne,
your adjectives and adverbs, dress and undress my day.

tears flow joyfully- -
perhaps in another life
to be quenched

I am ever jealous of your sweet wife, yet, I will always, for love which cares not for
the selfish self, leave you happy in her arms.

Touch Me - Monday

It’s,
That time.
Zombie like,
I cold shower,
Gulp down breakfast and
Dress. I’m late and run for
The Bus (full of noisy school
Kids). I’m stuck in traffic with a
Headache! At work, I apologise:
Monday morning blues before nine o’clock.

Think my watch has stopped, time is standing still.
Wonder why weekends go in a flash;
Work days drag on like time torture.
Yawning, bored, hungry for lunch,
Hot, thirsty, lethargic,
I splash cold water
On my face. Then
I see her
Text, and
Grin.
