Premium Member Enchanted Summer (Reversed Etheree)

Sunflowers imitate the sun’s bright hue;
birds take flight in sunny skies of blue.
Trenchant traces seen from the hill
view joy below, peaceful, still.
Solstice comes without sound
where peach trees abound
in summer’s blush.
Soon autumn
breezes
blow.

Premium Member Aflame Reversed

Burnished gold, aged bronze patinaed by the firelight
singed by sullen Sol, not stayed by Poseidon's hand;
aflame, aflame, the tall ship burns, see the masts ignite.

Unpenitent the sky rains ash blackening the night
the fire sends a smoky pall upon the sea and land
burnished gold, aged bronze patinaed by the firelight.

Fire eats the air, it snuffs man's breath, death maybe their plight,
yet, all hands come to the Captains call, his to command
aflame, aflame, the tall ship burns, see the masts ignite.

Hell's inferno's come a calling on this sun lit night
a foul wind blows, the fire roars, and so the flames are fanned
burnished gold, aged bronze patinaed by the firelight.

Without their ship, the crew were lost, debtors they'd alight
they went up like straw scarecrows shriven by the brand
aflame, aflame, the tall ships burn, see their masts ignite.

Burning cinders catch the dock, the workers run in fright.
Pain and heart ache fill the wharf still they must disband.
Burnished gold, aged bronze patinaed by the firelight
aflame, aflame, the tall ship burns, see the masts ignite.

Premium Member Day the Earth Reversed

In the blink of an eye the earth reversed
the sun rising in the west setting in the east
gravity's pull suddenly lessened it's hold
heavy things grow much lighter and floated

Look up to the sky and see what I mean
houses, cars animals and people flying
water running uphill instead of down
mighty oceans now the sky adorn

All still just kept within earth's strati-fear
beneath shines a land so strange
empty lakes and ponds now up in the sky
bewildered animals flying by, oh so high

As the day grew slowly to its close
gravity started to righten herself
and things began to resettle themselves
yet landing in totally different places

The poles became hot lands of sunshine
while the tropics were buried deep in snow
oh what a pickle it all was the army striving
to return things to normal but all in vain

Mammoth rescues of creatures to their normal climes
speed was all important before they perished
to our credit most were rescued and re-homed
our earth always mysterious is now reversed

How will we cope in this new places
well come back in a thousand years
I suspect human nature will be unchanged
still the same old BS run by the same morons

Premium Member Tribute To Garth the Great -Reversed Etheree

Garth Brooks, a wonderful singer is he.
He sways the crowds with his melodies.
The youngest of six, he began
his career by listening
to songs from Country’s greats.
To emulate them
became his quest.
Three cheers for
Country’s

Kiss Me, I'M Irish -Reversed Katauta-

"Kiss me, I'm Irish," he says
leprechaun, thinks he's all that
then, wiggles his tongue.

Chickadees Have a Party -Double Reversed Cinquain-

Feeders
Are filled with, the most tasty food
The chickadees flitter
Everywhere
Happy
They eat
Food from the ground
Emptied out of the dish
They dance around from tree to tree
Well fed.

Shadows Reversed

Luxurious spring blew into my ear
                                         nesting birds delighted senses
                                                  just sprung from dreams
                                morning prayers were simply shadows
as I smelled your sweet womanhood

I readied your bath of silken warm water--
lilac soap lay ready to kiss your neck's curling hairs
my heart bursting with lusty joy
                                                     popped like a silver bubble--

                                                to find you the shadow

Sonnet 18 Reversed

Shall I compare thee to my Adelaide?
Thou art less lovely and less temperate.
Rough winds shake you, my bony lady May,
Adelaide’s lease hath all a better date.

Sometimes too hot your eye of hell shines,
And often your ugly complexion dimmed;
And every fair from fair always declines,
By chance, or nature's changing course untrimmed.

But her eternal summer shall not fade
Nor lose possession of that fair her ow'st;
Nor shall death brag her wand'rest in his shade,
When in eternal lines to time her grow'st,

So long as you can breathe or you can see,
So long lives thou, and I will not love thee.

Reversed Moments

None knows what signaled him
Deep down the rim
To get down from the train
As if gone insane
All on a sudden
Much before the destination
Amidst thunderstorm and torrential rain
Ripping off the existence

Trifling with fear, sadness, guilt
Ignoring the defenses inbuilt
Shutting the books, the gladiolus,
Avoiding the blue with white cumulus
Stuffing all poems in the wardrobe
In love with the neural microbes
Leaving his moon scattered on his table
All unredeemable

He softly alighted and went to the ocean
Found the setting sun
Whispering the last emotions
That called him passionately
He exchanged murmur with the distant surge
To be at large
In that vastness of ecstasy
Haunted by the same fantasy
Of peace
Of the need to cease
Of a tumultuous release
And the glorious peace

The bird whispered the ultimate words
Into his intense ears
Why live in the herds
Go on
The mist is gone

The restless soul went ahead
Toward the endless
The setting darkness was looking in pleasure
At the light’s last signature

When all on a sudden
He heard someone
Saying in focused voice
Of his son’s choice
By which he had sacrificed
His life for his nation
And his wife’s decision thereupon
To commit suicide
Goaded by the emptiness inside
He was all ears
Confirmed he really had heard
Those potential words
And the mist returned
He felt a little beautifully concerned
And swam back to the shore
Borrowing from the endless store
And went back
Towards the reversed moments
In quest of another key to the door
That seldom stops calling
Into cozy warmth of redirected thoughts

From nought
To another unknown plot.

Falling Flakes -Double Reversed Katauta-

The snow falls outside
flakes are beautiful
I wonder if it will stay
going to get rain
sooner or later
supposed to get rain today.

This is my own style of poetry.

Roles Reversed

As I look to the darkened sky,
a fallen angel in disguise
held me down around the halo,
I fell and drowned into their eyes.

Deepest notions of sentiment,
unearth the thoughts I have sent.
A candle burning through the night.
Is my mind broken? While yours is bent?

I need to change this skin tonight.
I'll take yours, it fits just right.
Roles reverse, I float away.
While you stay grounded, so sleep tight.
