Heavenly Meat Pies

Heavenly Meat Pies

Nostalgic memories -
An awesome aroma
And an unforgettable flavor of
Freshly-baked, hot-out-of-the-oven,
Magnificent, “melt-in-your-mouth,”
Homemade mini meat pies.

Flaky, golden brown pastry crusts,
Filled with lots of love and stuffed with
Savory bite-size bits of tender beef,
Cubed potatoes, green peas, bell peppers,
Pungent garlic, garden carrots, celery, cilantro,
Madras Curry and other fragrant aromatic spices.

Popping one delectable meat pie into my mouth,
I tucked away another in my pocket for later.
Every magical mouth-watering morsel,
A taste of heavenly culinary delight…
In my great-grand auntie’s thatched roof kitchen.

Wrapped In Honey Of Her Naked Pies

Are memories really just our souls leaving
in clouds of shimmering hot mists.
And what of love and all that hot heaving
or stored memories on lustful lists!

Can the mind create truth from mere dregs
women so beautiful your brain cries.
All curves, graceful long ,long sexy legs
wrapped in honey of her naked pies!

Alas! Say it tis not a treasure imagined
what of the deep sensations of bliss?
Or her choice of lingerie in latest fashion
epic thrill of that greatest ever kiss?

Slay me now, if my treasures are not real.
I want no world devoid of that hot night's thrill.

Emma and the Pies

Emma was a pretty girl,
And was pretty wild.
She never minded what people said,
Nor did she mind her mother.
Mornings when she left for school
She also left her books,
Everyone would look at her,
And also gave her looks.

She loved to comb through magazines,
Yet never combed her hair,
Her dad thought she should step it up,
So she’d step in puddles.
Now Emma wasn’t really bad
She just had had bad habits,
Deciding to turn her life around,
She turned right on the street.

Now as the child was trucking on home,
She saw a truck come at her,
The driver was screaming “Are you mad?”
It seemed he was mad at her.
She stood and watched the truck tip
Heard a tip, get out of the way.
The driver jumped out and flew in a rage,
While thousands of pies flew through the air.

As the pies began to land
On people and on land,
They all turned red, orange and blue
Emma almost felt blue too.
Now as she stood there looking sweet
Tasting the sweet from her dress,
Absolute anarchy went down
As people bent down to delight in a good old fashion pie fight.

I stepped into a cow pie, back a year or so ago, and I did fuss and cry!
Or so I am told… Then I found a Dragon egg, and as you will surmise…
The plentitude and size of those pies, unfolded before my poor, sad eyes.
I pooper scooped alone, as they all ran from me and it, no matter what I tried.

There wasn’t enough fussing or money, that could bring them, into my crew.
It took a great big honking cart, behind a tractor to work the deed, it’s true
Dragon wouldn’t cooperate, to even remotely, pile it wherever I did need.
In fact, he buried my rose bed: as he covered it deep, in protest, at full speed.

I thought my teenagers had capped that rebel and protest thing, to an extreme.
OH, BOY! Have I become enlightened, to what a true protest can really mean!
Yep! And then he taught the neighbors Dogasaurus, to cover my dear, old Car!
Pitchfork handy, I chased them, as an incentive to unload in another place, so far!

That was inspired, I had gamely thought, until they dumped upon, poor little me.
I became known as the Dragon pie lady, and that was not a treat, I guarantee!
And yes, the paparazzi, put it on the front page as I got my 15 minutes of fame.
At this, Grandpa Troll came, to my much-needed aid, to help me stop this game.

He put us across the lake, from each other, in time out, until a deal was struck.
When Dragon’s fire finally gave out, he finally agreed to help clean up his muck.
Dragon agreed to ash all deeds, if I’d sell it as fertilizer to buy him more ice cream.
A bargain struck, peace reigned, and a fun incentive brought about our dreams.

The moral to my story is: Anyone can start a fight… But a fun incentive can be
Golden and bring the end to any plight.

He phoned the village bakery
And ordered a delivery
Loads and loads of tasty pies
Ate them all but at a price
He spent the night in misery.

It's harvest time and that means we
Are picking all the fruit we see
To bake into our luscious pies.
Each steaming crust hides a surprise.

For pies we've frozen straw and raspberries,
In July we gathered all the cherries.
Without another day of waste
Came blue and blackberries in great haste.

Now pears and plums and apples wait
Our appetites for fruit pies to sate.
And my own favorite, oh my
Is anything better than peach pie?

Our garden too, has given forth
Pumpkins for many a pies worth.
Tempting to every Bill or Phil
As they cool on my window sill.

Thanksgiving is coming and my duty
To create pies of utter beauty,
With crust that crumbles in one's mouth.
Birds wait for taste ere flying south.

My grandchildren come in every size
And each one wants his favorite pies.
So I bake their favored ones for each
And for my self I keep the peach.

Premium Member Who Ate All the Pies

When they married he was as thin as a rake
But his wife she loves to bake

She thinks the way to his heart
Is to practice her culinary art

He’s been eating all her pies
You should see his thunder thighs

He’s in love, this he cannot disguise
Now his tum is as wide as his eyes

His wife puts on a good spread
Has his fill then he falls into bed

He’d love a bit more bedroom action
But he can’t get no satisfaction

Apple pies make him tired and sleepy
His mum thinks he’s looking quite peaky

He would love to go on a diet
But his wife wont let him try it

She says cooking is her passion
As for sex that’s now on ration

He can’t live like this any more
Packs his bags and heads for the door

Moves out and joins a new gym
Loses weight and starts to get thin

Meets a girl on an exercise bike
Tells his wife she can 'go take a hike'

Now he’s happy with the girl of his dreams
And his clothes aren’t bursting at the seams

Premium Member Cream Puffs, Pies, and Chocolate Brownies

Cream puffs, pies, and chocolate brownies
Should surely be banned from the planet
They have no real value, no redeeming factor
We stuff our faces like gannets

Moms always says, “Johnie's got a sweet tooth”
So when he chows down like a pig
It gives him the okay to eat gobs of this stuff
Till he no longer can dance a jig

Now there ain't nuttin' bad 'bout being obese
Some very famous people are blimps
Won't name them here for the fear of a lawsuit
It would leave me tattered and limp

But cream puffs, pies, and chocolate brownies
Are delicious morning, noon, and night
For breakfast, lunch, or important meetings
They're evil but such a delight!

Her Coconut Cream Pies

She loves coconut cream pies.
She bakes them especially for her
If I loved them, she would feel better.
Nevertheless, I hate coconut since forever.
She bakes them especially for her
Sometimes making them for friends,
Nevertheless, I hate coconut since forever.
Ever since, I drank coconut milk.
She bakes them especially for her
If I loved them, she would feel better.
Sometimes making them for friends
She loves coconut cream pies.

We were winging cow pies at each other and it was fun.
But when a fresh one got close to our face, we were often done.

Premium Member Plentitude of Pies

Two cans Apple pie filling
Half cup brown sugar
Half spoon cinnamon, nutmeg
Half spoon all spices
Two cups milk
Done!
For crust mix bisque and milk to
Make dough and roll it.
Cut circles by five inch lid
Deep fry and heat oil
About four minutes
Dust sugar
Yum!
Don’t like cooking? Then buy it
All say it’s tasty
But mind to eat properly
Lest it is messy
Pie makes one merry
Delicious
Pie!

If fed up with apple pies
Try other fillings
Apple crumb with cinnamon
Tastier tart cherries
Seedless dried grapes
Even beef
Pies!

This saying is simply divine
“You shouldn’t cast pearls before swine”
Some think they are cool
Then break ev’ry rule
Folk cheating are no friends of mine!

Premium Member Pork Pies - a Poem For Paul Callus

We were going to visit Malta so Paul and I hatched a little plan
I’d bring pork pies over (his grand daughter Valentina is a fan)

Paul would meet us at the airport with his family
Valentina would be able to have pork pie for her tea!

I packed the pork pies in a cold pack and placed them in my bag
The airport security scanner didn’t mind about my savoury swag

I wanted to hand the pies over so they were in their prime
Unfortunately our plane was delayed for quite a long time

This meant we’d miss meeting Sheila. Kirsty and Valentina
Valentina had a ballet lesson to attend - she’s a gifted ballerina!

So Paul met us at the airport and we handed him the pies
I wish Valentina had been there to get this cool surprise!

We exchanged gifts for everyone and I was delighted to see
Yummy Snickers bars and a lemon cake to go with a cup of tea

*A pork pie is a traditional British cold meat pie. It consists of roughly chopped pork and pork jelly sealed in a hot water crust pastry. It is normally eaten as a snack. When I was growing up I had a Saturday job at a shop called 'Pork Farms' and they were famous for their pork pies ... I got so sick of the sight and smell of them I never eat them now!
