Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Nite

Do Not Go Gentle into That Good Nite
I wish we can all die from old age
Life is a book death is the last page
Brave, be brave against the dying of the light

The ignorance of temptation makes desire feel right
Though roses have thornes you thirst to own one
Do Not Go Gentle into That Good Nite

The ones who survive, though gutsy, remember the fright
Be it luck or having blessings from one
Brave, be brave against the dying of the light

Children dive to safety as brids take flight
This affair is normal to some
Do Not Go Gentle into That Good Nite

The young are hard-head, and the elders are right
Live by the custom die by the gun
Brave, be brave against the dying of the light

And to you, my brother, I pray you stay strong
Life is a book, may your pages be long
Do Not Go Gentle into That Good Nite
Brave, be brave against the dying of the light.

'nite Mom...

Your loving persistence
mixed with blissful insistence
and reassuring assistance...
is always bestowed so sweetly.

Your charm is beguiling
giving me smooches while smiling
harken closely - and I’ll sing...
all of your praises quite neatly.

You are constantly there
amidst the angst and despair -
dulcet declarations repair...
the worrisome wounds in my head.

An endearing embrace
filled with affection and grace
gently put my fears in their place...
without one harsh word being said.

Mother,
I hear small unfortunates weep -
devoid of sweet lullabies at sleep
to cleanse the sting
in their heads and their chest.
Tasting the tears of their plight -
they clutch torn teddy bears at night
praying one day, they too, will be blessed.

Your unselfish concern
spoken aloud or taciturn
were the sweet lessons I’ve learned...
soft sonnets resound in my heart.

All the love you have shown
throughout the years as I’ve grown
has united my soul with your own...
never to be broken apart.

Your soothing warm trust
is always gentle and just
making it quite clear that one must...
"let your attributes shine like a gem.”

But at night, as I sleep
I hear unfortunates weep
pondering the gifts they would reap...
if I could show-and-tell share you
with them.

'nite, Mom…

Fite Nite

He enters the Dojo all fists of fury
Whilst I sit - all judge and jury
He wears that stupid Ohm tattoo
That reminds me of you

He wants to be part of my team
And live every fighters dream
Only there is no medal to win
And you’ll enter a life of sin

But he is young and brave
And his soul I cannot save
He has heard I can fight
And that my bark is worse than my bite

He knows how I broke my rib
And keeps my secret fib
I need to make his mind strong
If to this clan he wants to belong

I push his body to the extreme
He proves himself part of the team
Blood sweat and tears
He slowly overcomes his fears

Today is fight night
I keep him in my sight
Tonight he is my man
Alas it is all part of a plan

Time old story, they all want fame
Victory against their name
Forgetting their limited use
For now which I will abuse

It's Sunday Nite At the Market

there’s a slurpee cup in a mart that don’t quite get filled to the top
too, a shoppin’ cart that can’t keep up
i caught you there, lazy sunday’s aside
i caught you like that, with nothin’ to say
out lookin’ for a whole lot of nothin’
lookin’ for a whole lot of lookin’
go ahead, you , there’s a lot to sell on a slow day
even if you aren’t in the market
you and me we’re goin’ no where that’s
no where we ain’t been goin’, fast
with all we ain’t got, we ain’t got need
everythin’ we been readin’s been a leadin’
to nothin’ left to say and all that’s been a leanin’
to all the needin’ we trapped to be young
you better take everythin’ you ought to
take your time too
today ‘what you meant to say’ opened up that mouth you got
before your words started to talk, and
before you rebelled to that corner you always seem to narrow
don’t forget ‘bout that shimmy there at the bottom of your wheel barrel
it’s a sunday wheel needin’ and lookin’ whole lot
like a. . . sturdy. . . smart
shoppin’ cart

One Halloween nite

While running away from some witches
I ran, until I pooped my britches
Then The Frankenstein creature
With the most frightening features
Laughed until he popped his switches

Late-Nite Picture Show

In a dark and desolate room, on you my mind lingers.
I caught the scent of smoke, and I immediately saw you.
The gentle curve of your eyes, your long and smooth fingers.
Shuttering awake from dreams that had once been true.

I’m certain my face never sways upon your mind.
You fill your days with more curious subjects.
But seconds after the last hit finally carries me to high
And I’m consumed with how much your distance affects.

I let the edges of memories tickle those days long gone
Back to life, and watch the movie replay on my screen.
Though moral fortitude mentions that this is wrong
I can’t help but smile at the people I am seeing.

At their spontaneity in a meticulously laid out plan
They privately refuse to conform and share their will.
Before they return to their lives as another woman and man
Back to friendships, love, all that they have built.

I may never again have that same chance as you do
To, even for a moment, slip away and be her again.
But I will always have these memories to skim through
Until, down through the smoke, I descend.

Cold October Nite

The trees sway back and forth
And the last of the green summer leaves wave to and fro.
They wave as if to say goodbye to a season passed
And getting ready to fall and wither away--
Leaving its branches bare and naked.
They are getting ready for a cold winter ahead.
The clouds paint the sky with its silver rain clouds,
Covering what was the dark blue night behind it.
A breeze sways by giving you a chill and aching your body and bones.
It chills my nose.
The cool crisp breeze,
I take in a deep breathe and sigh,
AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!
How fresh the air is,
How clean it smells,
How good it feels-
Even in its coldness.
This nice,quiet,
Cold October night.

Outside it’s breezy and twenty degrees
in here the air feels humid and still
the floor’s elbow-to-elbow and I guarantee
dance for 40 minutes and the heat can kill

I left the dance floor
fully drenched
we drank at the bar
til our thirst was quenched

I peeled off my overshirt
but that didn’t work
I still felt flushed and sweaty
a guy motioned me to dance
but I wasn’t ready

Then someone opened the door
the icy air rushed in—I didn’t flinch
It felt like heaven—I wanted more
dance guy was back, the entitled prince

the 05611 is full of pushy guys
when they want something
they try and try and try
I pretend I can’t hear them
cause the music is bumping

Friday nights are such a release
a time for fun and controlled caprice
but it’s also a hot-point time to do-a-prendy
when you say no, divers can turn unfriendly

I’m not Julie Andrews—I’m not offended
It’s kind of a complement, I’m just not interested
If you can take a yes, then you should take a no
I could be protecting you, for all you know,
so chill-out playas, don’t be so gung-ho.

Prince For a Prom Nite

Lyrical montage’

Like a sonic sensual massage

Like my Red Corvette in your garage

I Would Die 4 U

Just Take Me Wit U

Cos me without you

Is Computer Blue.

Let’s Go Crazy in the dark

Or in Paisley Park

Your Kiss is my spark

Got me Delirious

Do Me Baby I am serious

Hot Thang you got me curious

Let’s Pretend We’re Married girl

With all the Diamonds and Pearls

You the Most Beautiful Girl in the World.

We can go around it in a day

Wear nothing but a Raspberry Beret

Got no money but I will pay

Come on Glam Slam

Let’s Pop this Life and scram

I will take the place of your man

People Recreating Old Memories without the pain

When Doves Cry…it feels soft like Purple Rain

Tonight who will be Calling your Name

Got a Cinnimon Girl I call mine

Black Sweat is so tastily divine

Tonight Let’s Party Like it is 1999

The Other Nite With Her

Tenderly she pecks & kisses me on the lobe of my left ear,
to awaken me from my slumber to the sweet face of my dear.

My fresh seeking eyes, they open up to her graceful smiles,
Her eyes hold a world within them & with fondness for me deep insides them for miles.

Staring into each other’s eyes,
For moments of togetherness our bodies, hearts and souls cries.

Love you very much she whispers softly,
Love you too my darling my breath hums fondly.

Now in this sacred moment of sweet togeatherness, us alone,
Her face seems to me so sweet and body glows with beauty lustfully full blown.

Am really blessed to be here now with her for these moments a few,
Passionately & rapturously harness myself to make love & my feeling, churn and brew....

Another Sleepless Nite....

It's a late nite pillow fight
tangled toes and elbow throws
blanket pulling tug of war
obnoxious croaking snores

Another day of puffed eye gaze
walking sleep throughout the daze
coffee laden jitters bitter
sleep would help me feel better

Maybe I'll just hit the floor
forget my day and all my chores
take off my jacket and my shoes
rest my head and cop a snooze

Now I feel like Rip van Winkle
sleep forever dreamlike twinkle
comfy park bench under a tree
no night fight to bother me........

Bank Day Rassling Saturday Nite

Everybody wants to be champion
Everybody got a plan
Everything's signifacent
Peoplez, my people!
Take your assignment
and task!
Get in line and do what's
asked of you.
Sh$t I have been doing that
This way since they let me
In here.
Hungry people, needs to eat!
And prices only fluctuate upwards.
Looked at Bizzy
He ain't got time for me.
Looked at dizzy, but he's under ah
Spell!
What ya'll talking bout?
Why me?
Papers and Promises!
Cheap talk, switch your
Candyass up outta here!
Get the prestige like
Ole Lou,
The belt like Brett.
Defend like Hogan.
The women like Flair!
When Sammartino
And Hansen
Gets me
Nick, your Bockwinkels due
Simmons and Bradshaw
Stonecold now what new.
I remember Dusty
The long blood we share
Bobo didn't take the strap
Ya'll act like we weren't
There.
Fluctuations, neocations
Man just get it done.
Work ain't hard
If you know what you're doing
Contract please!
Let's get it on !

Nite Fall

As the sun sets and the moon showed it's face,
Wow reality sets in and the moods switch places.

It's so bizarre how the sunlight has a impact,
Not only on the earth but also in our mindlack
.
You thank our Dear Lord for all the days blessings,
Look at your children, and hope they took lessons.

It's a wicked world on the outside.
It kills the kids but still they abide.

I say life is not so bad and remember what i have,
as you sit and look so sad, i wonder are you mad.

Tomorrow is a new day, hope it a sunny one!
Openening the blinds was so much fun,
there it was my energy and my strength,
to pull me thru for last night was a full moon..

                                                                         Lavonne
