Best Nebulae Poems
Navigating vast oceans of life, negotiating its lows and highs,
Some blissful of pure joy, some burdened in griefs and sighs,
Riding aspirations eternal, rowing vigor of happiness I ride,
Undulating on tides of love, with your smile gracing my side.
On the crest of a wave, surging with gale, O, fondly we sail,
Reveling life’s sweetest moments, dreams amorous unveil,
Sketching themes periwinkle, tinting blush of rosy twilight,
Whispering secrets passionate, pleading to romantic night.
As stars above twinkle, in harmony with melodies of skies,
Hearts sensuous bloom desires, inflaming enamored eyes,
Spurring moods of romance, Venus and the Moon revive,
Flirting with colorful nebulae, where passions stellar thrive.
Anticipation builds, propelling us with exuberance of seas,
As lands in yonder delight, where zephyrs of hope breeze,
Foretelling of an ebullient morning, inscribing motifs of glee,
Glistening skyline golden, where promises auspicious spree.
Approaching our destination, we foresee realms of morrow,
Devoid of hurricanes of yore, devoid of miseries of sorrow,
Having parted stormy coastline battered in travails of throes,
Exiting cheerless shadows, vying winsome, sunlit meadows.
I have never seen a flower blush when I took it's hue
and held it there a prisoner captive to my view.
I have always heard the song that's in the autumn breeze
playing taps in harmony with the forest leaves.
I love the smell of rain that brings the springtime into bud
and swells my love of nature into a teeming flood.
I celebrate the cycle of the daytime into night
and find an equal blessing in the shadow and the light.
I've always felt affinity for all created things
and surrender to the pleasure that their beauty brings.
And though I could spent a lifetime sailing drops of dew
I've never seen a universe as beautiful as you.
I've often sat myself by gentle mountain streams
and overflowed the dams that were holding back my dreams.
I've breathed the scented forest on the mountainside
and washed away my sorrows in an evening ocean tide.
I've laid down in a meadow and debated with the moon
and spent some quiet moments on the surface of Neptune.
I got married to a zodiac with one of Saturn's rings
then spied a super nova and went on a cosmic fling.
I've run away to nebulae in galaxy brochures
and bathed in scenes of wonders on distant planet shores.
Every cosmos in creation could parade before my view
but I've never seen a universe as beautiful as you.
I've never seen a tree once withdraw it's shade
and deny a creature the comfort of its aid.
I've never seen any anger in the sun at noon
when it burns relentlessly on the desert dune.
At sunrise I take an oath to live with all my might
and reinforce my gratitude each and every night.
I could spend some hours riding on a crystal flake
drifting wildly in a gale mindless of my fate.
Many times I've been through trials of wind and rain and snow
then sentenced to the splendors that the seasons show.
And though I've searched throughout creation, I must say this is true
I've never seen a universe as beautiful as you.
In embrace of your love, blossoms my eager night,
Strumming themes romantic fervid passions recite
Invoked by scarlet-eventide glinting arc of twilight
As final breaths of dimming-day golden rays ignite
Signaling to emotive vibes twinkling on starry skies
Now’s the time for constellations to bedazzle eyes
In magenta, red nebulae buoying upon stellar seas
Navigating tides of joy as smiles of Venus appease
When enamored we stroll lauding exuberance of glee
Bequeathed by dreams, mystiques of desires spree,
In missives of forever-love verses of hearts decree
Responding to overtures, aspirations intimate plea,
Giving voice to latent hints echoing proffers of soul
Vying reveries esoteric sensuous heartbeats cajole
Prodding us to waltz, to rhythms of nocturnal tune,
Attuning beats of hearts beneath love-struck moon.

How earnestly, dear, you enchant my dream
Blooming heart’s wishes in amorous theme
Lifting me to your realm of astral mysteries
Buoying my longings on wings of your spirits
Rowing leisurely to paradise of ethereal bliss,
Surfing azure winds, navigating stellar seas.
Traversing through empire of eternal revelry,
Dazzling me with allure of inflamed intimacy
You lured me to magical palace of fantasy,
Way beyond kingdom of nebulae, galaxies,
Through reign of Venus~ the goddess of beauty,
And mythical territory of monarchy moonlit.
Mesmerizing dawn, scripting tale of romance,
You touched my soul, conquering my heart,
As purple tints engraved arc of ebullient morn
Honoring love, when hastily you were gone,
Leaving behind memories, wallowing in awe,
Of your passion esoteric, blazing on and on.

Peering beyond reach of human capacity
I revolve around the sun in a solar orbit,
Looking deep in space for origins of bygone
Going way beyond anyone has ever gone,
Exploring unknown world of astronomy
Searching light from first stars and galaxies
Traversing back in time where it all began,
Forming our universe after the Big-Bang.
Some 13.6 billion light-years my eyes reach,
Studying evolution, formation of galaxies,
Vast, colorful, mysterious shapes and sizes,
Eying origins of life and planetary systems
Probing, discovering, unfathomable infinity,
For one light-year equals six trillion miles~
A feat, only for the confidence of audacity.
I capture images spectacular to every sight,
Viewing light that is invisible to human eye
Locating nebulae, gas planets, dust clouds,
Collision of galaxies where stars are born,
Traversing back in time where it all began,
Probing galactic universe~ terra incognita.
No longer a phantasy, I am real as can be,
An eye of science and a mind of curiosity,
Intellectual tenacity and proof of ingenuity,
In acumen and wisdom of Astrophysicists,
I am the bold vision of infrared astronomy,
I am the flight vying hypnotic destination
Buoying on wings of scholarly inspiration.
Much is yet undone, for I have just begun,
Orbiting diligently until my work is done,
Until dreams become reality of my mission.
For insight into creation, I am the ray of hope~
I am the James Webb Space Telescope.

Beckoned by love, allured by memories,
Embracing missives of delightful dream
Engrossed in sphere of halo mesmerizing
Surrounding her aura in ornate gold ring,
She lifted-off gaily into ethereal, heavenly,
Way beyond reign of mortal melancholy
That gripped her soul in unbearable grief.
Enthralled she floated on feelings angelic
As she swirled, danced on magical wings,
Visiting lustrous nebulae hanging mirthfully
Amid magenta clouds’ resplendent motifs;
A kingdom of happiness, of eternal paradise,
An escape to wonderland fit for a child,
Just like her mother had once described
Where love always blossoms garden of joy.
Flexing exuberance, she queried the stars,
Until she came upon the brightest of all,
And recognized the most reassuring smile
Peering fondly into mother’s loving eyes
Nesting in her breasts, savoring her breath,
Longing every touch, reveling every pulse,
Blissful in endearment of realm sublime
Reconnecting enamored memories divine
Cradled in mother’s arms till end of time.

O, take me there, where mystical realms of starlight glisten
Pearlescent tapestries, indulgent in ethereal aura of Venus,
Emboldening me in celestial embrace, swept in your love,
As you ignite embers of passion, setting afire ardent souls;
When elatedly I speak, to quest amorous, of flirtatious eyes,
Greeting your smile, charmed in radiance of moonlit skies,
Humming rhythms esoteric, not heard, in quite some time,
Laudatory of fervid senses, blooming in tempest of desires.
There, as you recite preamble to our life, extolling paradise,
Together we rejoice, purity of joy, in blessings of Aphrodite,
Longing heavenly garden of Eden, themes amatory entice,
Scripting blissful allegory of love, verses enamored write.
Listen my dear, as love strums music, lauding a sacred bond~
O, sweet melodies, emanating from depths of our hearts,
Echoing memories of yesteryears, fondly treasured for long,
Tolling hymns affectionate, revered in life’s beloved song.
Thrum now dear, tunes intimate, hearts and minds surmise,
Exploring Milky Way, amidst purple dream-scapes of nebulae;
Take me to mythical gift of life, lascivious in moon’s delight,
O, take me to Xanadu, where love is the life’s ultimate prize.
Lavish luscious liaison
Orchestrated obsession
Nocturnal nebulae
Gifted graceful gallantry
Secluded sanctuary
Tiffany telltale turtledoves
Effervescent ecstacy
Metaphysical mascarade
Magically manipulated mandolin
Erotic entanglement
Delectable daredevil demigods
Rhythmic romance rhapsody
Openhearted opulence
Secret sensuous seduction
Exquisite exotic elixir
Sumptuous scent of long stemmed roses

the sky resonates
with what’s written in the silk of stars,
in pulse-burned pensiveness,
penned in poignancy,
personifying pain
with yellow-gold dust,
where lament liquefies and softens
into an ethereal lake,
chronicling it with surging blue sparks ~
an evening elixir, enveloped
in confetti cravings…
this l o v e knows not
the ingredients of
ephemeral effervescence,
as the thriving tip of twilight
manifests the magic of want,
whilst I tremble,
engrossed in the thought
of moon-flame touch,
brimming,
brewing,
breathing
across cups of catharsis,
concocted with caffeinated calmness ~
aligning the inner innocence
still longing in loneliness,
amidst seated strangers
lost in their own appetizing lyrics,
clothed in cold cobalt colors,
unaware of the emptiness
they feed their mindless muse
from superficial spoons
filled with smoke and silence ~
like scattered illusions,
illustrated with surreal ink…
what if I hold onto forever fallacies
hiding within?
would I be promised
a peaceful plate of patience
beneath ineffable iridescence ~
for I’ve feverishly struggled
to rephrase the verdicts behind
faces phasing in the haze of life,
sipping sorrow
as if it were mocha ~
balmy, bittersweet,
burning in sync with my
Swarovski crescent crooning
lullabies to diamonds dancing
in infinite nebulae,
carrying secrets the table holds,
served in sincere oblivion…
and I am still learning and healing
the soul’s breaking lines,
to leave lovelorn reveries
without losing the light of lucidity,
letting go of their narrow narrative
of me and my ache ~
of us and our heat,
as even the routined routes
could not erase what’s
handwritten in a heart made heavy…
so wait not for the
rise of supernova sanguinity ~
I am not the warmth of woven woes.
I am a charismatic chameleon,
~ c o m p l e x ~ cautious ~
catching comet-notes,
camouflaged in melancholic versions
of humankind,
hiding vulnerability
within firm flares of vivid vibrations…
O beloved night,
on this terrace, I devour, not alone,
but evermore lonely,
i m m e r s e d
in the forlorn frequency
of stellar fire…
THE BARE INFINITIVE
Look: up above the stratosphere
Outside the earth's blanket veneer
Beyond planets stars and galaxy
Past even faintest nebulae
Far from the pull of gravity
Free of Dark Matter's hidden vector
In existential cavity
Untied to any spacial sector
All human weakness risen above
In solo freedom primitive
Beyond the bonds of hate or love
There sits the Bare Infinitive
No cares nor problems, fears nor pains
But there's one question that remains
From Liberty, took a blessed kiss?
Or to false seductive promise succumb
Is he in sublime unfettered bliss?
Or formless, endless tedium
COROLLARY - The Meaning of Life
So perforce the very asking of the question
May reveal the answer to that greater plea
Why suffer slings and arrows, pains, anguish, oppression
When we might, by NOT opposing, be set free
The gloomy prince omitted consequence unsaid
In agonising on the walls of Elsinore
Endless nothingness holds nought for us but dread
Perchance to dream preferred to void; that we abhor
Thus life’s meaning may be: to be within a life
Then if we also have a purpose vied with strife
Result: interest, time, curiosity, interaction and aim
Or the elements of what we call: A Game.
Lest you think this demeans Creation to mere caprice
Then observe to be the player, not the piece.

Beneath the yawning, azure skies of Earth,
We left our seed to wend the Sea of Suns,
And prove the binding mettle of our worth,
Beyond the sullied world we'd left undone.
Across the Great Expanse we bounded, free
To stretch the limits of our brains and bones
Though sailing 'cross that ancient, starlit sea
We heard the gods of ages yawp and moan.
We plunged an aching void of endless night,
Through spinning rainbow nebulae of death,
To wondrous planets, multi-hued and bright,
But none with Terra's sweet, enchanting breath.
Ten thousand worlds of mystery, we found
Grand vistas, picturesque, for us to roam,
Yet in the end, we turned our trek around,
Still yearning for those colors of our home.
To wade again, the meadows of our birth ...
Beneath the yawning, azure skies of Earth.
Desires whisper in shadow of Venus
And seduce intentions of clandestine love
As rhythms attuned to romantic beats
Pulsate zealously in galactic utopia.
Bashful moon titillates lustrous vibes
In interstellar space of floating nebulae
As symphony of emotions arouses
Throbbing hearts in exotic euphoria.
Sizzling bodies elevate mystical aura
Flooding blood-veins’ cosmic jubilation
And longings waltz on sensuous clouds
As jolt of excitement inflames bosoms.
A tango of passions presents a ballet
For one more spin on planetary stage
High on elation of moonlit ecstasy
Savoring kisses of heavenly blessings,
Satiating dreams of forbidden themes
Unlocking secrets of mysterious galaxy.

Nighttime hypnotic dreams flow
a starry heart swirls
heavenly sequins sparkle,
gold moonlight reflects off crystal seas
an evening full of wonder
an exquisite tapestry, a secret story,
pure opal-colored mist
as you moonwalk, be astounded.
A whispered melody carries
the allure of a summer night
pearly moonlight falls on trees,
a gleaming breeze-kissed track
lucid, synchronized star trails
floating akin to a precious gem
origami nebulae with avid care,
sparks seldom appear quiet
dwarf firefly with jewel-like lights
fliers soar through the night,
exuberant filigree wings
their gentle glow soothes Void.
Amidst the mayhem, we have visions
a global canvas upholds hope
vivid acrylics fit well with warm ochres,
creativity abounds as the sun sets
the glow of a fantasy is stellar
a soft glow leads the way
glitter and dance are in sync,
Incredible for everybody
night gradually awakens
this grand adventure fuels dreams,
fireflies are lighting up our path
woods and meadows hide secrets
light reveals verdant grass.
altering the location.
Ah, sweet slumber of nip-laden dreams;
the milk of mother moon bestowed,
a blessed drink and lactose-free
to this mine humble, feline throat.
Running freely through outer space,
I touch upon thy blessed universe.
My home of emerald and lapis lace,
is where in I lay in furred repose.
Chasing neon rainbows in nebulae bright,
my dreams are filled with gold doubloons.
I’ll spend them on treats and nip-delight,
and chase away any greedy tycoons.
A feline black as obsidian night,
in a home filled with human love;
among the faeries and tree sprites,
mind flies just like the doves.
Remains of stars adorn the sky
with nebulae aglow on high
in stunning patterns that romance
the wondering stargazer’s glance
or simply senses mystify.
While stellar orbs are born and die,
do heavens strum a lullaby
as all around the cosmos dance
remains of stars?
Might there be heard celestial sigh
when Man seems deaf to wisdom’s cry
and Mother Nature looks askance?
Will humans waken from their trance?
For in our earthly beings lie
remains of stars.

“We are star stuff which has taken its destiny into its own hands.”
~ Carl Sagan, Cosmos
The poem is a rondeau ~ a short poem of fixed form, consisting of 13 lines (plus the phrase twice) on two rhymes and having the opening words or phrase used in two places as an unrhymed refrain.
A planetary nebula is an expanding cloud of gas ejected from a star that is nearing the end of its life. The nebula glows because of ultraviolet radiation from the hot remnant star at its center. In only a few thousand years the nebula will dissipate into space. The central star will then gradually cool down, eventually becoming a white dwarf, the final stage of evolution for nearly all stars.
