the
watchful eyes
of full moon
flickers again, *
an alchemy of cicada nights
humming a mantra like a pastoral symphony
-- -as if in a twirl of primal energy --- flock of
herons,
band of cattle, and grasses invite smokey dusk to
recite
her fables on morning dew and twilight passages
chant after chant
* and the trees bloom of a thousand foliage
gracing the winds with such opulent swagger,
that the living—absent from babbling language —
sigh after sigh
abandon its own movements to drift on greenery
floating on anklet of sky hardly recognized , except
for this
rare instance: the dignity of darkness, the tiers of
fragrance,
and caresses of nocturnal beings gathering in
warm
oneness of silence, reverent as it were, upon
• dew soaked in buoyant wonder..*
the mind forgets to speak: the branches
of a landscape pivot never knowing why
in solace, the breath marries light

Your cold lips,
Your frozen Figure...a sad emotion you expelled.
I touch your shape, trembling at the source.
Modeling away to my cheeks.
At sunrise we slept,
At midnight we loved.
The stars and the clouds draw us layouts of dreams,
an enchantment,
our elixir of love.
Hands slept in our grave, a singing hymn.
We drank each other's memories.
We danced until the moon was put to sleep.
Covered ourselves with petals of Rose,
Bare to the despair, the sun presented.
Decaying, and never growing old.
We fulfill these lavender caresses everyday.
Immortals, will will always love.
We will always be together...
Lovers in time.
Vampires in a dream,
A reality to me coming true.
Round and round on the merry-go-round,
Round and round I go.
See me on my stallion high,
See now, I dip down low.
The music plays, it never stops,
It goes on all day and night.
At times, there’s sadness in its tune;
At times, it sounds so bright.
Round and round and round and round
With all those ups and downs.
The stallions marching in a line
With silly painted frowns.
I see the others riding too—
Content enough they seem.
Perhaps beneath the frozen smiles
Each like me could scream…
“Let me off! Please let me off!
I’m getting nowhere fast;
There's so much I must see and do
Before my time has passed!”
But round and round and round it goes,
And round and round again.
Might as well enjoy the ride,
For when it stops, what then?

My Quaint Cottage
The quaintness of my cottage
Is idyllic in my sweet resting thoughts.
My miniature garden rarely noticed by one
Is garlanded with fenced shrubs and flowery visions.
My orange clustered tree

My green walled cottage is sewn intricately with ivy
Leaving an

Open Fringed
With fresh roses
Attracting the

Hanging in air
Fluttering
Their wings

Our
India -
An abode
Of rich culture
and tradition.
Shaped by our ancestors -
the moulds of our past
Inspired by Freedom Fighters
martyred wishing for a free Nation
Led by leaders initiating missions to change the world,
India is progressing.. Reaching out towards her goal
Of being the country
she was always meant to be -
A haven of
Harmony and
Peace.

Dear Anna,
I
Left you in order to save you from me.
Didn’t
I warn you that I was poisonous?
Want
Doesn’t overpower your need for a better life.
To
Be with you would only hurt you more.
Leave
You a chance to heal your own scars.
You
Deserve better than the broken parts of me.
Behind
Leave me in the dust and move on.
Anna.
I buy a train fare.
Leave it all behind,
Love, pain, fears, smiles
This heartbreak.
It hurts, but I do it.
City after city…
But at the same time…
I feel euphoric….
Why does leaving you and San Francisco…
Give me a renewed sense of…
Freedom….
Anna.
I’m
This
So
Is
Sorry.
Goodbye.

Are You Skew-Whiff?
Are you feeling rather skew-whiff?
Awkwardly placed and standing?
upside-down
back to front
inside out
topsy - turvy
Are your senses damp and unresponsive,
Beckoning confusion and despair?
Does your heart pound even when there’s nothing exciting there?
Forlorn, sorrowful, despondent,
You patronise your grief,
Focus on your problem,
To attain some relief;
You keep flitting to your pleasures,
Lack, for contemplation, a quiet place,
Force your troubles into the backroom,
You’re not to dignify your face.
Tomorrow is for thinking,
Will exist to accommodate,
The glumness and the wretchedness,
That seems to obliqueness and gloom proliferate.

Fall is getting prompt for its chilly main part.
Spread each leaf until the forest floor is strewn.
Joined by bright leaves waving to the summer's past.
Differing old layouts, and not a trice too soon!
Spread each leaf until the forest floor is strewn.
And the heron shriek out above the clear blue air
Differing old layouts, and not a trice too soon!
While the white clouds emerge to shout "beware!"
And the heron shriek out above the clear blue air
The swollen creek has no time to fade away.
While the white clouds emerge to shout "beware!"
The Fall charm waits for our parent's offer lay.
The swollen creek has no time to fade away.
A woodpecker beats on a tree searching food.
The Fall charm waits for our parent's offer lay.
Mixed together, they make for a timing, good.
A woodpecker beats on a tree searching food.
A parade of old thoughts walks within new sense.
Mixed together, they make for a timing, good.
And nothing is lost when the mood is intense!
A woodpecker beats on a tree searching food.
A parade of old thoughts walks within new sense.
Mixed together, they make for a timing, good.
And nothing is lost when the mood is intense!
A parade of old thoughts walks within new sense.
My heart is racing as I latch on to beat.
And nothing is lost when the mood is intense!
The kernel of Autumn's singing is so sweet.
My heart is racing as I latch on to beat.
Joined by bright leaves waving to the summer's past.
The kernel of Autumn's singing is so sweet.
Fall is getting prompt for its chilly main part.

Poetry has always been part of me, I write of my life,
I was never one to shy away from challenges;
Trying many different forms in my rambling poetic journey,
But for me, verse is the one I love the most.
Verse is so versatile and one can do a myriad of layouts,
Almost any poem can be interweaved in verse;
I have written verses about butterflies and of dreams,
Of nature, where verses can rhyme or maybe not.
Verses can be free and or even have internal rhymes,
They can have metaphors and similes or alliteration;
I can paint a picture with my words in verse for you,
My poems will take you to sadness or the past.
Verse can be written with beautiful words that inspire,
Or sensual words of love or they can be just fun;
I can pen almost anything in verse, it is so very versatile,
So if you are in need of a wonderful form to use,
just give verse a whirl.
