Welcome to a brand new world

Verse 1
How are you feeling right now?
Is there still a yearning in your heart?
You're probably like, ten million or more,
praying for a brand new start

Verse 2
What happened to the world you imagined?
Where justice and peace ruled the day...
Is it merely a dream or wishful thinking,
a fantasy that leads you astray

Chorus
Welcome to a brand new world...
where evil men cannot be found
No reason to fear the nighttime,
a place where you feel safe and sound
Welcome to a brand new world!
This is not just a dream...it's reality,
joy in the heart of each boy and girl,
Welcome to a brand new world!

Verse 3
God has shown us how to love
So why is true peace elusive?
Monsters and imposters hide who they are,
they send out doves with a Judas kiss

Verse 4
It's been about two thousand years now
Praying for God's kingdom to come
Now's not the time to lose patience or faith,
it's time for God's will to be done

Chorus
Welcome to a brand new world...
where evil men cannot be found
No reason to fear the nighttime,
a place where you feel safe and sound
Welcome to a brand new world!
This is not just a dream...it's reality,
joy in the heart of each boy and girl,
Welcome to a brand new world!

Welcome to a brand new world!
Welcome to a brand new world!
Welcome to a brand new world!

repeat and fade

Premium Member Evening Song

Conducted by the Hands that gave them voice
Sweet songs of evening soothe my weary soul.
Oh, how I love to hear the birds rejoice
As frogs and insects hum adagio.

Each night I sit and watch the sun go down
Accompanied by song that has no score
Each night His orchestra holds me spellbound
That's why each night, I come right back for more.

Yet I am just a simple country boy
These nature songs were my first lullabies
E'en to this day they bring my heart such joy
And on occasion tear these simple eyes

When moon appears to watch the sun depart
My only thought, "My God, how great Thou art."

Premium Member Thats When I Fall Down Upon My Knees, Song Version

Updated lyrics May 19,2020 to flow better.

THAT’S WHEN I FALL DOWN UPON MY KNEES

There’s no way-
I’ll see another sunrise
My hope is gone-
as I'm contemplating my life

Prospects are bleak-
that’s just the way I’m feeling
My strength is gone-
and my will to live is fading

Here in the dark-
Even my shadow has left me
I spiral down-
into a pit of misery

That’s when I-
remember that you still love me
I kneel to pray-
and throw all my cares upon you

Chorus
That’s when I fall down upon my knees
And then I beg you Lord...
Don’t turn your face away from me
I know I’ve made a mess out of my life
Could you help me please?
When I feel like it’s the end
That’s when I fall down upon my knees

I cannot lie-
I know I’m running out of time
And I know-
that your patience is wearing thin

I must change-
if I’m ever going to save my life
Oh please dear Lord-
help me fight all my sins and win!

Chorus
That’s when I fall down upon my knees
And then I beg you Lord...
Don’t turn your face away from me
I know I’ve made a mess out of my life
Could you help me please?
When I feel like it’s the end
That’s when I fall down upon my knees

Chorus repeat

Finale
That’s when I fall down upon my knees
That’s when I fall down upon my knees

repeat and fade

 Chopin Nocturnes

Listen....autumn rain is gently falling
Within enchanted hour of twilight sky.
In my heart, Chopin is softly calling
Lovely piano notes that make me cry.
As Luna slowly rises in the east
Her soft lambent glow lightly veiled in shrouds,
Taming the spirit of both man and beast
By roaming mesmerizing misty clouds.
My spirit soars within this peaceful scene
Enthralled by every note of Chopin's tune.
Beguiled in nature's calm, I feel serene
As stars appear and mingle with the moon.

This music and enchanted night reveal
New hope my mourning heart will one day heal.

Premium Member I Sure Miss the Old Hymns

I sure miss the old hymns of ages past.
With tattered edges their message still lasts.
Those five stanza’d jewels I know by heart--
“The Sweet By and By” and “How Great Thou Art!”
And “Count Your Blessings,” I love that one, too.
And “This World’s Not My Home, I’m Just Passing Through.”
But when I’ve done wrong and need to get right,
There’s “Just As I Am” and “Why Not Tonight.”
I swear I can hear my folks who have gone,
on “Vict’ry in Jesus,” they sing along.
Someday all the saints will stand and join in
As Heaven’s choir sings those songs once again.

Those old, yellowed pages worn soft by tears—
Oh how I miss the songs of yesteryear.

Idle my tongue remained, my Lord,

till the moment it learned how to pronounce Your name

But from

that moment onward, it never ceased singing your song

which has set my soul aflame!

Premium Member The Labrador

If I wasn't there,
the rain swollen clouds
would have still dumped
their dark weight over the bay
and through a gaping tear,
let down a curtain of sunlight
to start the day.

And if I wasn't there,
the old, arthritic labrador
would have still waddled
along the street
with its bent but steady gait,
undistracted, self absorbed
and fixed in its own stare
that allowed no deviation
from years of devoted plod.

The morning had no need
for me, what happened
would have happened anyway.
There's an annoying sadness
in knowing the earth
doesn't seem to care
if things pass unnoticed.
Sunsets and waterfalls
carry no favor.
To it, the achingly beautiful
and the catastrophic can
happily go unreported.

And yet I still ask -
what's the point -
and entertain the notion
that the universe has this
innate and unfathomable need
for a witness
to take in Creations
unfolding riddle
and make it fit together.

I could be wrong,
but for each of us,
the privilege of being here
on this gifted earth,
to understand, care for
and tell its story in song
fulfills a purpose,
if only to this end -
or something more.

Premium Member I'll be strong song version

I'll be strong

Vs 1
You're getting tired of losing...
there's not enough joy and peace to be found
Sometimes it's better choosing...
to set your goals high, never looking down

(refrain)
Let's be strong together!
Make changes together!
Let's be strong together!
Have the courage to say:

Chorus
I'll be strong...
I'll forget all the pain,
I'll be strong...
I'll learn from my mistakes,
I'll be strong...
I'll be who I am and not be ashamed

Vs 2
Your will to live is fading...
don't give up on the chance to live your dreams...
maybe time to do some praying...
for courage to be strong and to believe

(refrain)
Let's be strong together!
Make changes together!
Let's be strong together!
Have the courage to say:

Chorus
I'll be strong...
I'll forget all the pain,
I'll be strong...
I'll learn from my mistakes,
I'll be strong...
I'll be who I am and not be ashamed

Premium Member The Narwhal Song

~The Narwhal Beckons Before Dawn~

If I could sing a song,
It wouldn't be just any song.
I would sing a song about a fish
A fish who is not a fish, but a whale
Not just any whale, A Narwhal

This night I'll sing a short song of a whale
Dancing under the moonlight dusk
Swimming with ivory tusk, underwater musk
Rising to the morning glory in the sky
Communicating with the waves
Squealing around,
Trilling and clicking supersonic sounds

If I could tell you a tale
It wouldn't be just any tale
I would tell you a tale of a fish
A fish who is not a fish, but a whale
Not just any whale, A Narwhal

Grayish brown,
White freckled belly crown
Elusive and mysterious
Without the Arctic water, I'll get delirious
A rare whale, with a tooth for a hoot
Enjoying shrimp, squid, and fish food
Taking care of the young,
I swim in pods all day long
I' stay away from what consumes my cod
Polar bears, orca whales and native spear
My greatest fear and nightmares.

If I could share some words
It wouldn't be just any words.
I would share some words about a fish
A fish who is not a fish, but a whale
Not just any whale, A Narwhal

Deep, down the ocean odyssey
My beliefs and skin peel easily
With a tear, I drown
When called "The Underwater Unicorn"
My words are naught more than a sad song I sing
A tale of a whale not just any whale, A Narwhal
The next time you go out to sea
Looking for blubber and ivory
Please don't look at me!
For I am just a Narwhal
And, I belong to the sea

This Song Is For My Mother

This song is for my mother
Let her hear me cry
I couldn’t bring myself to write it
‘Til this darkened day arrived
A song about old promises
Made so long ago
Created and cremated
Ashes of the words I spoke

Long separated by the miles
Distanced from her golden smiles
Memory of a mother
Shared my dreams and really cared

Long separated by the miles
Distanced from her golden smiles
Mama…
I know I wasn’t there……

For you

Would have placed
A magic carpet
‘neath your weak and shaky legs

Would have raised
A strong west wind
Let you breathe with ease again

Would have bribed
God’s venal angels
Come and soothe your endless pain

Would have vanquished
All the demons
And bring peace to you again

Be the child
I never knew
In a land
We won’t grow old

Be the light
I always loved
Warmed my dark
And lonely soul

Be the girl
Playing games
In a world
The sun won’t set

Be the laughter
Calms my heart
I never will forget
I won’t forget, won’t forget

This song is for my mother
Let her hear me cry
Couldn’t bring myself to write it
‘Til this darkened day arrived
Song about old promises
Made so long ago
Created….cremated
Ashes of the words I spoke

I broke my promises, oh mama
Now you’ve gone away
I’m broken
Drowning in the pain each day

I’m drowning…drowning...drowning…drowning

This song is for my mother
Let her hear me…….

Premium Member There Will Never Be Enough Time

There Will Never Be Enough Time

There will never be enough time to hear unique
music of nature's songs in its birds, its insects,
in songs of the wind, or the sounds of the sea.
Or how earth breathes and is alive through its
caves and caverns, through its crystal rocks in
bell tones that ring soothing sounds for the soul.

There will never be enough time to visit all the
wondrous places this glorious earth has to offer.
Nor enough time to read all the talented poetry
our new technology provides us with online and
in favorite poetry books of masters long dead.
Poems that so inspire and leave hearts on fire.

There will never be enough time to view all the
sights in glorious colors of sunrises and sunsets,
of twilight's shadows and intricate silhouettes.
Nor the light on the mountains in verdant display
as mist weaves its magic o'er splendorous pines.
Sights that inspire thrill and enthrall so profoundly
with the beauty of it all, as each day's a divine gift.

There will never be enough time to breathe in life's
blissful perfume in scents of many flowers in bloom,
in lilac's, gardenia's and the magnolia's sweet scents,
or in petrichor's heavenly aroma from rain's dalliance.
In scents from the seaside or the mountain's fresh air,
in Mother Nature's great gifts of her fragrance so fair.

There will never be enough time to behold your love
in the grace of God's minion in spiritual connection.
That feeling of oneness, that special spark from all life
as it spreads contentment and warmth over body's
decay in knowledge we will all realize birth once again;
that all feelings matter in our Karmically created laws.

Yet, there IS enough time to give thanks and rejoice for
every life is precious no matter of life's circumstances.

My heart has found a home (Song version)

So many years alone-
my hearts without a home
Nights were filled with fear-
my heart shed a tear

My loneliness had grown-
my hearts without a home
my foolish heart has spent-
emotions paying rent

Chorus
My heart has found a home
no need for it to roam
Love has come my way
I know that it will stay
My heart has found a home
it's home is here with you
you are it's dwelling place
love shines upon your face
my heart has found a home

Since you came to me-
your love has set me free
I see love in your eyes-
your heart now beats with mine

Lonely days are gone-
our love will stay strong
Say you'll always stay-
I need you everyday

Chorus
My heart has found a home
no need for it to roam
Love has come my way
I know that it will stay
My heart has found a home
it's home is here with you
you are it's dwelling place
love shines upon your face
my heart has found a home

Premium Member sea song -

oh precious, dulcet diva, ocean-tide
you, of sand and foam and spindrift -
all your moods and meanderings
speak deep my spirit, wistful and wan
musings captured, gist enraptured …

       I listen, close ...

on those warm and windy days, your
voice cuts clear, carries with it the joy
of sun sprites alighting on wave tops
hopping crest-to-crest like so many
gold pieces tumbling from pockets, laden …

       I listen, rapt ...

becalmed days, the lull of low tide ...
gentle swells reach their arms ashore -
the cold brine washing sand and shell
like breezes sweeping the grasslands
rolling, as imagination rolls in the mind …

       I listen, soft ...

whispering in my ear of the secret
dark places in my heart, exquisite
shadowy realms where passion and
reverie hide, pulsing with urge, aphotic
warm, enigmatic feelings flow and ebb …

       I listen, true ...

an ocean storm's raging beauty, thus -
somber clouds, splashed Payne's Gray
swirl cruelly as Neptune flits his tresses
sea sirens lament with angry screams as
their backs are broken on reef and rock …

       I listen, soft ...

gentle swells lapping brief, the sand
moon rising to the lullaby of a bell buoy
its tender peals coaxing the moonlight to
shore, Luna's beams tiptoeing gently atop
to join the phosphorescent waterline
(not to wake the slumbering breezes) …

       I listen, sad ...

the gulls and terns laugh at the folly -
a man strains his ageing ears to the song
of the tides that he loves so completely -
the most divine and elegant aria known
and a voice so immortal and pure, that
it will croon on, long after there is naught ...

       left to listen.

Premium Member Charm Like Harp Strings - 128 Words

Your mind's in knots,
as stress plagues thoughts.
On hope you cling,
to bloom like Spring.

Its fine my dear,
nerves can cause fear.
Don't be so scared,
gifts must be shared.

Your smile is cute,
when you are mute.
No need to hide.
I'm by your side.

Let the world hear,
your tone so clear.
Your will is strong,
burst out your song.

Sweet sounds you make
our breaths they take.
Look how eyes beam,
your name they scream.

Go to that length,
love is your strength.
Your voice brings peace,
helps fears to cease.

Like sad trapped birds,
tongue holds back words.
Free them from cage,
take to the stage.

When your heart sings,
charms like harp strings.
Look how they dance,
as your tunes trance.

Premium Member To the Singing Lark

Oh! How like you, I long to be a singing lark
Who in the blue firmament like a tiny speck
Remains invisible, drowning the air in music sweet
Rising higher and darting up with movements slick

In our ears, your song falls like peals of chiming bells
In clear crystalline notes on this radiant day so bright
Why do you stay unseen in the far fringes of heaven?
Oh! Come out from the heights that blur you from our sight!

Are you warbling of love in inextricable lays
Or chanting hymns to the God of greater heights
Diving up and down like a mysterious sprite
Are you trilling of the charms of enchanting sights

Soaring and swaying like a flitting dot of light
You ascend higher and higher to dizzier heights
I guess your wings brush against the sailing clouds
As you reel round and round in ecstatic flights

Have you bidden farewell to the verdant groves beneath?
Have you flown for good from your woody nest?
Why do you dwell in the heights, solitary and alone?
Are you cruising into the wide blue yonder to seek a haven for rest?

Hovering over unseen, you pour out melodies sweet
That fills our gloomy hearts with euphoric delight
Sweeping away from weary minds all sullen thoughts
And flaming our souls as blazing beacons of light!
