Leather jacket draped over her shoulders
My feeble attempt at gallantry
Protecting sweet maiden from the cold
A small smile spreads over her face

My feeble attempt at gallantry
Still I longed for the rain to reveal her breasts
A small smile spreads over her face
The rain would have soaked her blouse

Still I longed for the rain to reveal her breasts
The fabric clinging to those lovely curves
The rain would have soaked her blouse
We ran together my hand around her waist

The fabric clinging to those lovely curves
I could feel her softness my heart pounding
We ran together my hand around her waist
Coming to rest under an old oak tree

I could feel her softness my heart pounding
She allowed my hands to explore
Coming to rest under an old oak tree
Lips joined as my jacket fell to the ground

She allowed my hands to explore
My feeble attempt at Gallantry
Created the moment that brought me here
A small smile spreads over her face

I broke the Pantoum form with the very last line but
I prefer it this way. Besides, my hands were already engaged.

In life you can wear a life jacket
For this no one has to see
It's not entirely for said waves
But internally to you and me

It's when you become immersed
In depths that you'd never known
Thrown against the waves of life
When faltering to never have grown

Imagine wearing that life jacket
Looking out to translucent see
How black it so quickly becomes
We're no longer in the trees

Our eyes are closed to the cold
Incoherent we have now become
When we were here we existed
We've now become sunk as none

Where should I zoom to, perhaps to the Moon,
And on my way will juggle with millions of stars,
I have whispered to a Comet passing by real soon,
To please pick me up, as i plan to visit Mars.
Most of all I want to feel the star dust on my face,
And hear choirs of angels as they upon me gaze.
My wish upon a star,
To swim in the Milky Way,
I long, to be in the Galaxy,
I dream of such a day,
I want to feel the sands
Of Mars, run through my hands,
Hope to see shooting stars, and also Meteoroids,
But terrified to see a hurtling Asteroid,
Wish to explore many other Galactic planets,
Google, my best friend right from the start,
Though neither of us sure of the stratosphere’s
Patterns, so advised to be sure, to take with me a jacket.

Leather Jacket

Gym shoes, sipping a malt
Leather jacket, tight jeans.
She fell so helpless with him under the sheets.
His skin..total velvet-sweet.

Ah, those magenta hues~
From the hotel light flashing.
Cable cars bells ringing.
A night to remember, her
soul singing,
Total sexual splendor.
She'll forever remember~
Her....San Francisco.

Red Leather Jacket

Blood started pumping
                     At the very thought
I saw it in the window
Was the first thing that I bought

Had been workin' part time
And I saved up all my cash
I really wanted something hot,
                      That had a little flash

And when I tried it on
              Started shaking, couldn’t hack it
I could feel the slick seduction
                      Of my red leather jacket

It was fire engine red
                     Double snaps at the cuff
With the zipper slanted sideways
                     I was really hangin’ tough

And for many years to follow
                   When I dressed to impress
That jacket saw some action
Worn, but sexy none the less

Though now, it’s just a memory
I can still get a rush
Thinking bout’ that leather jacket
In it’s red hey day, full flush

Jacket Weather

People pass in t-shirts
Or with jackets draped or tied,
Enjoying springtime weather
After being cooped inside.

Daffodils have poked their heads
And crocuses as well.
Still, the message isn’t reaching
Where my brain cells dwell.

For I am zipped up to my neck
With jeans and socks below,
Not ready to relinquish
Jacket weather, even though…

I’m sure that I will soon enough –
Perhaps next week I may,
But all I know is that for me,
It will not be today.

I knew that he often stared at me…
in the cafeteria or on the crowded elevator
but his reflex was swift… or so he thought
each time he’d avert his eyes just as I'd raise mine

He’d decided he was no longer willing to keep this secret
Listening to his heart wildly beat whenever he saw her
He’d been hesitant to speak; unable to risk rejection
But on a cold wintry morning, attraction inspires
He vowed he’d find a moment when he could say something…
But what would he say? He felt hopeless.

                Why doesn’t he say something? I wonder…
                Can’t he feel the connection?
I know he stares at me and he thinks I’m unaware
Like just this morning on the crowded elevator
I could feel his eyes fixated upon my back
And that caused my heart to skip beats
As a matter of fact, I feel his eyes this moment…
Should I turn around and say, “Hi?”

                Oh well…here comes the rain
My car’s parked up the street so I’ll have to run for it.
“Hi”, the voice spoke, “the rain’s not letting up, huh?”
A smile broke out before she looked up at him
“So it seems. And my umbrella’s locked in my car, up the street.”
                “I’m Jason Stone…from Advertising”
                “And I’m Emma Ward…Finance”
“Nice to meet you”…they chimed together, laughing
“Would you like to get some coffee next door?”
               “Yes, I’d like that.”
Gently, he placed his warm leather jacket on my shoulders.

She shivers because of the extreme cold
It’s misting rain out of the sky today
She tries to be real strong and oh so bold
But she’s still shaking here in every way
The weather looks to be this way all day

We’ve been together all throughout the years
There are some times thunder heightens her fears
Moments like this brings us closer as one
Jacket’s on her shoulder as it endears
May the storm leave, not to make us undone

Freed from docile beast's corpse,
its death gifted me life:
laud humble bovine's offering.
I am immutable,
seamless, supple, stylish...
and together we rock that look!

She felt a little stifled
Like her whole life
Was on repeat
And she didn't embrace
The parts that were being rewind
She knew there had to be changes made

That all the "so called" comfort
She was accustomed to
Had to go
There was no amount
Of pretending that would wipe
That reality off the table

She had to cut ties
She had to wave goodbye
Even though she had on her
Jacket of indecision
It needed to go too
Or she would be left with
Questions she had no answers too
