Life's Jacket
In life you can wear a life jacket
For this no one has to see
It's not entirely for said waves
But internally to you and me
It's when you become immersed
In depths that you'd never known
Thrown against the waves of life
When faltering to never have grown
Imagine wearing that life jacket
Looking out to translucent see
How black it so quickly becomes
We're no longer in the trees
Our eyes are closed to the cold
Incoherent we have now become
When we were here we existed
We've now become sunk as none
