Premium Member If I Were a Baby's Breath

 If I were a baby’s breath
I’d be the sigh
that bends the wheat as dawn slips by
a gentle chinook that softly speaks
a river’s pause….. before it breaks
the soulful love itself remakes.

If I were the moment
I'd be the one
star that pierces through the dark
where moons align and two hearts become
a place thoughts dissolve where time suspends
a love too vast for fate to end.

If I were a dream catcher I’d kiss your sleep
with shades of joy too rich to keep
reality more radiant than you'd dare.
and when you wake upon your skin
my breath would rise dew drops within.

If I had an enchanted touch
I’d be the artist
of tides that sculpt the cliffs in full
a warmth that lingers on your breasts
a caress that cradles slow and deep
like roots that drink where my love sleeps.

If I were a sacred covenant
I’d be the mark
that binds your soul where comets arc
not lost to time, nor dimmed by space
but carved in light-faith’s endless place.
forever locked in my loves’ divine celestial lace.

But I am just myself
imperfect true
yes, I am only flesh and bone
no myth no spark no sculpted stone—
but in your arms, I burn, I shine
a zephyrus breath where earth meets sky.

Premium Member The Love That Got Away - For a While

At fifteen I was filled with passionate dreams
God breathed possibilities through my ambitions
I learned to feel with my heart, visions of a caress
Whispering through me when I first met him, my fantasy

At twenty-three I was older and wiser, longing for a touch
Imagining he was with me, embracing my heart’s hopes
Touching me with reassurance, acceptance and compassion
Everything that would awaken in me a feeling of pure intimacy

At thirty-five I found myself dreaming of his generous spirit
Wondering across familiar reveries with a sense of urgency
Yearning for his hands stirring, awakening pleading from within
The mystery of his vigorous skills for pleasuring me warmed me

At forty-two I shared moments with him, nestled within his embrace
Reflecting on all the love we had seen arise between our secret expressions
Slowly, we discovered the opportunity to spread inspiration in our path
Amid the ones who saw our hearts and all that graced our circumstance

At fifty-five I came to him once again, after spending those years apart
We found a tenderness that could not be found in anyone else on earth
Together, we spend time learning and growing wiser with a sweet embrace
Knowing that love this strong and good comes around only once in this place

At times I worry about losing him again – amid the struggles to keep up
But there is a faith inside of me today that reminds me he has given me his love
Honesty, his passion, his tender caress – all that was lacking in my hopes
He is the one I long to share my life with and know will be in my heavenly home

God knows my heart and how I searched for him when I wasn’t in his grasp
God knows my spirit and how it reached out for this peace that I feel with him
God knows my hopes and dreams and how deeply I feel for this man that was
The one who got away and the one who returned on that joyful, inspiring day

Premium Member Ultimate Love

If you love someone let them know not just by your words but by your actions
The true meaning of love is showing dedication to another person with strong affection
A solid healthy relationship for a couple should be based on intimacy, passion, and commitment
You are partners in your journey through life, bonding together and trying not to harbor any feelings of resentment
Do not let a single day go by without expressing your love for each other
Constant reinforcement of this will bring great joy to your life, just ask your mother
Be a good listener, you do not always have to be right
Always strive to resolve any problems before you go to bed at night
Respect for each other is the main ingredient to a happy fulfilling life
Always be there for each other, especially in times of strife
Think of your time together in terms of eating your favorite pie
Enjoy and savour each piece there is no need to ask why

Premium Member Divine Intimacy

When one speaks of stars,
glitter and wishing come
to mind; wishes are easy
to find~a galaxy of them;

Thinking how easy one can get
lost in such vastness...a speck
of soul, even a good intentioned
god might not see or hear (one
could fear)

how many prayers must travel
unimaginable distances, mere
drops in an endless cosmic sea?

And, yet, I sense an intimacy

all logic tells me cannot be....

Premium Member You Were My Hardest Goodbye

over time before my adoring eyes
much like a rose past its prime
i saw you wither away

i didn’t think that love could
but it grew day by day
and how sweet its perfume

you gave me the gift of intimacy
opening your heart to the nth degree
your vulnerability most endearing

a closeness i’d always in awe treasure
you were the love of my life
i never thought i'd ever have to say goodbye

    Intimacy’s no guarantor of pleasure

~ Loneliness knows what to measure

Premium Member Intimacy - Acrostic

Inner circle of total trust
No other dare try enter
Tactfully earned year after year
Intimately nurtured with tender love
Many obstacles were thrown our way
And it’s together that we faced them
Candidly united we stood as one
Youth like a mist disappearing till it was gone

Intimacy

My God, When will it start
The love
The romance
The passionate kissing as 2 connect in the deepest part of their heart, mind, and soul
The chemistry of getting turned on by the touch of the other person
The nervous talking and bumping noses
The little laughs from eyelashes tickling the cheek bone
Holding hands winding fingers crazy thoughts
Tightening the space between each other
The control of slowing down to enjoy an adventure without judgment

Premium Member A Moments Prayer

Gentle whisper of a caress
Softly touching, intimately
Soothing my worries, calming
Any anxiety with this hope
Inspired by a moment’s fulfillment
Satisfaction birthed within
A spiritual connection between
Two hearts, two souls, two feelings
Warming the way for every limitation
To become a fire for more joy
More sweet inspiration, imagination
More of every dream and fantasy
Dancing through the mind that
Feels such creative insights, brilliant
Revelations discovered inside
The one who gives unconditionally
And lives with the assurance
That they know God’s will for them

Intimacy Vs Isolation

Erik Erikson, I swear! !
          Young adult
But I don't want to grow up
          No no no

Take me back to Industry vs Inferiority
          Around the ages 6-8
          My best years so far
I was very healthy in my developmental stage
     It was well achieved
          Per the books

As I continue on these stages
I look at my watch and I see that I still have some years remaining
It seems like I have some mess to clean up
          Slow on the playing
          Clear on my directions
As I achieve the greatest virtue of all, love!

Rahat Indori Translations

Intimacy
by Rahat Indori
loose translation by Michael R. Burch

I held the Sun, Stars and Moon at a distance
till the time your hands touched mine.
Now I am not a feather to be easily detached:
instruct the hurricanes and tornados to observe their limits!

The Mad Moon
by Rahat Indori
loose translation by Michael R. Burch

Stars have a habit of showing off,
but the mad moon sojourns in darkness.

Body Language
by Rahat Indori
loose translation by Michael R. Burch

Your body’s figures are written in cursive!
How will I read you? Hand me the book!

Insatiable

by Rahat Indori
loose translation by Michael R. Burch

This mighty ocean, so deep and vast!
If it sates my thirst, how long can it last?

Honor
by Rahat Indori
loose translation by Michael R. Burch

Achievements may fade but the name sounds strong;
walls may buckle but the roof stays on.
On a pile of corpses a child stands alone
and declares that his family still lives on!

Dust in the Wind
by Rahat Indori
loose translation by Michael R. Burch

This is how I introduce myself to questioners:
Pick up a handful of dust, then blow ...

Dissembler
by Rahat Indori
loose translation by Michael R. Burch

In your eyes this, in your heart that, on your lips something else?
If this is how you are, speak to someone else!

Rumor (M)ill
by Rahat Indori
loose translation by Michael R. Burch

I heard rumors my health was bad;
prying people made me ill.

The Vortex
by Rahat Indori
loose translation by Michael R. Burch

I am the river whose rapids form a vortex;
You were wise to avoid my banks.

Homebound
by Rahat Indori
loose translation by Michael R. Burch

If people fear what they meet at every turn,
why do they ever leave the house?

Internet Intimacy

Those love letters

emails,

across the globe

kisses,

reaching two souls.

still,

these dreams are hollow

their presence is

missing.

Reality bites when

technology doesn’t permit

physical interraction.

Only words, words and words

travel through the wires.

Interconnected dreams

allows rapturous romance

For Technology cannot restrain desires

for all those who are willing to unite with their long distane love...

Premium Member Essence

their eyes
they flutter
or is it propel
either way
a subtle prelude
to a kiss out of sync

their conversation
an amalgamation
of giggles and smiles
more telepathy
between hearts
than anything else

their legs
entwined like shoestrings
on a pair of old sneakers
seem to imply
the mating ritual
of hoverflies

Silken Intimacy

Slipping past brushing against
The softness that feels of silk

Intimate in the skin we are in
Naked to the elements of love

Uncovering the touch beneath
Silken is the intimacy

Between the sheets of satin
Feeling all the rush

Of the tenderness unconditional
Overtaking bodily trust

Missing not a second chance
Embraced by warm gusts

Instant lost deeply in the passion of one hug
Silken is the intimacy between us
