When you laid your hands upon my naked heart
feeling the flex of it's fire, accessing the innocent desire,
holding the form of a new need, I swear, that's when love did start,
your touch became my tradition, the wine of your wisdom my lovely teacher,

From the fine feathers of your soft steel wings
I write poetry of storms in paradise and of love in your eyes,
sympathizing with my sage solitude, yet subduing the sadness it brings
you offer me everything an angel owns, halo and bloodroots, and together we rise -

Premium Member Halo

I've never worn a pair of angel wings
There's no glowing halo above my head
but my tears flowed like water from wellsprings
when someone I love was wounded and bled

My heart has been bruised and it's been broken
There's no glowing halo above my head
'cause I've damaged hearts with words I've spoken
and then been sorry for things I have said

I have bared my skin and revealed my soul
There's no glowing halo above my head
I confess that sometimes I lose control
Can't change one thing about the life I've led

I have scars inside that no one shall see
There's no glowing halo above my head
No angelic wings, soft and feathery
I’m simply human, seeking daily bread

Premium Member Just Like A Halo

Just like a halo on Horizon's edge,
the sky of gold unveils an orange glow
as though Almighty God stands on that ledge,
just like a halo on Horizon's edge
to shine His blessings gifted by His pledge,
while wind-blown grass and cattails stand below.
Just like a halo on Horizon's edge-
the sky of gold unveils an orange glow.

Just like a halo on Horizon's edge,
as though almighty God stands on that ledge
to shine his blessings gifted by His pledge,
while wind-blown grass and cattails stand below-
the sky of gold unveils an orange glow
with splendors of His beams that overflow.

Within Luna's Bright Halo You Do Smile - a Collaboration With Carolyn - Valentine's Collection

(Valentine's Collection)

54.

In Luna's bright Halo you do smile,
your beauty ever shining, Heaven bright.
My Valentine, I join you for a while,
moments spent with you in love's own delight.

     Your tenderness makes each day a gift;
our passion provides both warmth and bliss.
I never dreamed love could offer such a lift,
So for Valentine’s Day, I offer a kiss.

I take your kiss and hold it in my heart,
my beloved, I do send one to you.
From your rose of love I shall never part,
let me drown in your eyes of Sapphire Blue.

     Our love surpasses passion’s desires
     crossing into the spiritual realm.
Unconstricted by Earth’s webs and wires,
I, your first mate, sail with you at the helm.

Into the stars together we do sail,
within Heaven's embrace, you do beguile.
Together in love, we begin our tale,
within Luna's bright Halo, you do smile.

I feel my soul rise when I gaze in your eyes
and I smile when you come into view.
When these feelings I attempt to analyze,
I acknowledge the signs of a love that’s true.

Broken Halo Blues...

the love I had for you has faded away
and vanished into moonlit skies
like the smoke from a candle blown out
for the night, disappearing as it flies

but like the scent of the candle
I still can smell your perfume on the covers
and as I lay my head down to rest
I still sometimes wish we were lovers

but you know that could never ensue
because it’s hard to love someone
whose halo has broken in two

Premium Member Angel - A Word Prism

An angelic being,
helping to guide and protect us.
Seen by some but mostly unseen.

They can ring bells,
and sing in the wind.
Even be heard in a soft whisper.

Looking like a fluffy cloud,
wearing a white flowing gown.
Wearing wings and a pretty halo.

Have not seen them,
but have seen the effects from them.
Have written about them.

Slip Off Your Halo Tonight

I must confess, I've undressed you, in my mind
Even made love, while thinking of you
The halo you wear round your finger
Ties the binds that I can't undo

He holds your hand
While I want your heart
Our souls feel alone
When we're apart

If loving you's wrong
Why does it feel so right
Slip off your halo tonight

I'm a man who tries to live by the right hand
But temptation, may cause me to burn
My angel's been taken by another
And I'm not sure, which way to turn

My conscious is guilty
Each I love you a ruse
Cause I know they should all be
Directed towards you

Shall we head on a journey
Where we turn out the lights
Slip off your halo tonight

My love, my lust, my want and my trust
All sit here waiting to prove
We've lost a lot of our past
It's time that we can't get back

So slip off your halo tonight

Did you think of me, when you said I do
The same way that I, imagined it's you

We both know how we're living
Maybe someday we might
Slip off our halos tonight
Let's slip, off our halos tonight...

Help Her See Her Halo

We all seek purpose
And I'd like to think I might
Have been sent here
To help her see her light

It shows for all of those who seek
A pathway towards eternity
She's touched so many I believe
She revealed my destiny

I'm here, to help her see her halo
Help her spread her wings
And realize she can fly

I'm a better man for having got to know her
And she fills my heart
With such a sense of pride

I'm here to listen
Whenever she gets down
And I know someday she'll trade
That old halo for a crown

She's so busy helping others
That I hope she understands
How the presence of His glory
Spills from her loving hands

And I'm here, to help her see her halo
Help her spread her wings
And realize she can fly

I'm a better man for having got to know her
And she fills my heart
With such a sense of pride

Yes I'm here to help her see her halo

Premium Member The Narcissus Halo

Peering into your eyes
is like witnessing
a Carravagio master
for the first time,
not quite clear,
hazy,
the Narcissus halo
reflecting in those
twin pools of deep
azure moire silk,
falling
into their reach
one remains
secure for a while,
above it all,
assessing
your cloud strewn
sun dappled rivers,
oh the temptation
of it all,
to touch what
lies untouched
underneath
below that shining
calmly moving
surface
carrying thoughts
and feelings along,
it's high tide,
the fingers gently touching
teasing the no go zone
rippling a wake,
break the anticipation,
the thrill wet and electric,
the gently touching, shocked,
pull back again, momentarily,
played like a puppet on a string,
like a harp being strummed,
like a bow and arrow aimed,
the high tide's current -
its pull dark molasses,
strong and magnetic, yet
it's not Eventide -
the moment,
one senses,
will arrive,
to confront,
to dive in deep,
to meet you
within the emeralds,
to stroke you,
stir the waters
for longer than
the trip,
oh the temptation,
the dissipation
of a dissolving halo,
to breathe life
back into
your beckoning lips

Candide Diderot. ‘24

The Halo Effect

If there is one thing I remember
It is what life told
Just open your eyes
All that glisters may not be gold
So who is to blame and whose fault I hold
The halo effect, the one in disguise
Manifesting deception in front of thy eyes
Treat one different because of their look
Why read? Judge the cover of the book?
But you do read others because they don’t have the look
If you understand, how long has it took?
The halo effect, we magnify a trait
Condone the flaws, we magnify a trait
Attractiveness, is this what you mean?
All this talk, my perception a feign?
What I see, aint what it seem?
Huh, thanks for this, as well as that.
The halo effect, my mind was hacked.

Halo-Halo

The bright sun was scourging hot
Under the blue beach
I craved for sugared dessert
Of cold milk, fruits, beans
Jellies, on top of
My sweet ice
Cream!

Premium Member A Halo

There was once was a lady from town
Who wore a halo like a crown
Told her daughter-in-law
Dresses should wear like squaw
Wore one to work and naked frowned

The loom grabbed her dress and wham bam
Naked from the waist down~life in jam
Supervisor gave coat
Took her home and I quote
"I put my blue jeans on grand slam"

My mother was a very stern believer that women should wear dresses..
My brother married late in life and his wife worked in the weaving department..
She did a job called filling batteries..She had to walk between the looms to do
her job..They had suggested to the women that they should wear tight fitting
pants or blue jeans..To please my mother she made her a new dress and wore
it to work..First thing, it got caught..It ripped it and her slip off..She was left
standing naked ..
