Slip Off Your Halo Tonight

I must confess, I've undressed you, in my mind Even made love, while thinking of you The halo you wear round your finger Ties the binds that I can't undo He holds your hand While I want your heart Our souls feel alone When we're apart If loving you's wrong Why does it feel so right Slip off your halo tonight I'm a man who tries to live by the right hand But temptation, may cause me to burn My angel's been taken by another And I'm not sure, which way to turn My conscious is guilty Each I love you a ruse Cause I know they should all be Directed towards you Shall we head on a journey Where we turn out the lights Slip off your halo tonight My love, my lust, my want and my trust All sit here waiting to prove We've lost a lot of our past It's time that we can't get back So slip off your halo tonight Did you think of me, when you said I do The same way that I, imagined it's you We both know how we're living Maybe someday we might Slip off our halos tonight Let's slip, off our halos tonight...
