Best Gently Poems
Thinking of you in crimson dawn rising
Voice of fervid night keeps calling me
Naming the lady of my fabulous dreams
Meet me I say, gleaming amber glory
Start right there, where you left me
Whispering to beats of sensuous feelings
Listen to words waltzing verses of lyrics
Pulsing cadence of your heart’s music
Letting the chorus of smitten souls sing
Pleasing our tunes of euphoric melodies
As you dazzle me like glamorous painting
Upon the canvas of my sensual gallery
I hear you saying, “don’t try to rush me
Read me like a magical script of fantasy
Gently now, gently, unfold me softly
Kiss me like you love me, kiss me fervently
Gently now, gently, unwrap me slowly
Blossoming in bosom of love’s ecstasy”
Let my desires bloom in your spring
Thriving like pink lilies, doting zestfully
Whirling like nectar in fragrant ruby winds
Luring the tempo of butterfly wings
Arousing titillation of seductive reverie
Blushing my face in rhapsodic revelry
When you hear the sigh of surrender
Subjugating me in embrace of your zeal
Winning plea of my zealous appeal
Ready I’ll be love, to write my story
Upon the pages of your life’s allegory
Revealing secrets of romantic odyssey
I hear you saying, “don’t try to rush me
Read me like a magical script of fantasy
Gently now, gently, unfold me softly
Kiss me like you love me, kiss me fervently
Gently now, gently, unwrap me slowly
Blossoming in bosom of love’s ecstasy”
Gently now, gently, unfold me softly
Gently now, gently, kiss me fervently
Gently now, gently… gently now, gently…

Warm raindrops fall like pearls
Yes, like pearls from heaven they fall
warm drops from love`s breath
which adds misted windows
Your lips pressed lightly against mine
I glide into a beautiful dream
Floating on warm white clouds
and sweet summer winds
You are what my heart has always longed for
You touch my heart so gently
Your presence gives me warmth
Your confidence gives me peace
Love me ... as I love you
Show me your paradise
Two hearts melting together
in a world of love
together we go on a journey
In a storm of illusions

We sit, relaxed, at closing of the day,
you turn, a record on to softly play,
then place, fresh logs making our fire enhance,
and gently bow asking me for this dance.
The song, we’ve loved since we were very young,
so often danced with, and so often sung.
You sing, so sweetly in my longing ear,
and with, strong arms drawing me oh so near.
I place, my head upon your shoulder,
you spin, us around our humble room,
we laugh, just as when we were younger,
you stop, to kiss me; then we resume.
Such special times like this I feel my heart,
could never last if we should ever part.
Then shed, a tear by thoughts of losing you,
cause you’re, my one and only love so true.
Music stops; we stay together,
in loves embrace, we melt as one.
With fireplace, still gently burning,
our fire has only, just begun.

Come gently like a winding trellis
stroking my shape as you fondle
my vulnerability, and tease,
tease curves of my spine with whispers
to unleash what is half-awake in my eyes,
draping my flesh with the scent
of this moistened night…
And I am lost among fibrous roots
clinging to a warm pistil
like a raging dart,a moonlit flame.
Your bended arms warmly mount
my transparent skin,
only to hold back as the dizzy air
blows these ruffled tresses
smelling of earth and jasmine...
You gaze at the cleavage
of an open mouth, wandering
on a tight pulse between
the trellis of desire...how in this
hungry glow, I cannot explain why
your irises slay me bare;
that on a sweltering duskfall
so mysteriously anonymous,
I seem to ask you to come gently
and touch my waiting steam.

Come let me rock you gently
and as we softly sway
I'll share with you a story
and rock your cares away.
In the years that I have known
there has been much I've seen
the big "to do's" the nothing days
and all those in between.
To all I've offered comfort
and a quiet place to rest
I've rocked my share of little ones
(oh, how I love them best!).
A very tender memory
of all those that I hold
is one of love and caring
that now is growing old.
A Grandma and a little girl
placed firmly on her knee
would for hours sit and play
and we would rock so free!
The laughter in their voices
(to which I'd add a creak!)
would fill my day with pleasure
and with pure joy I'd squeak!
Oh how I loved the songs they sang
and the games they played
and all the Bible stories told
when we were all so staid.
How glad I was to share it all
we were a happy set
this is my sweetest memory
(the best one I've had yet!).
Now as our time is winding down
(it's nearly at an end!)
I bid you please come back and sit
when you have time to spend.
Together we will gently sway
and stories will unfold
and I will rock your cares away
as each new one is told.

Tears fall gently
Tears fall gently, like the rain
quietly refreshing my soul
relinquishing all of my pain
Tears fall gently, like the dew
rejuvenating my spirit
with lingering memories of you
Tears fall gently, like a watery mist
releasing all of hearts sorrow
your blessed presence will be missed
Tears fall gently, without any warning
cleansing my mind of despair
from a troubled heart in mourning
Tears spurt quickly, like drops of fruit juice
freshly squeezed necter from my eyes
my fractured heart is clearly of no use
Tears pour down, like a raging storm
washing away disillusioned thoughts
while blankets of hope keep me warm
Tears fall blown away, like in a typhoon
my life hangs on by a thread
darkness covers this heart with gloom
Tears no longer fall, as bright daylight suddenly appears
God comforts me with his love, wiping away all of my tears.

Upside Down Teardrops Falling Gently
Upside down teardrops falling gently onto a magical mirror
as crystal chandeliers of soft light filters through reflecting
a treasure of pearls that speak to a thousand bounties paid,
whilst a sanding of polished memories stone cut a diamond,
at once, that’s truly regal once upon a time in a deep dream
that shows inside a mystical castle embodied around a circle
that splits into a quarter wherein four cells hangs a real picture
of truest beauty and love that bathes inside the ocean’s breath
and sighs, whilst murmuring your name and speaking of the tides
lost at sea, whereby all of us, at the end now, shall become sacred
sailors who must freely seek out and fulfill our own human destiny.

I found you crying in a doorway, all alone,
whimpering while singing your doll a song.
You're so young, child, to be on your own,
and yet, I can tell, you're brave and strong.
I whispered softly to her, You're safe with me.
I will not leave your side through the night,
and from this day on your life will be carefree.
Little one, I promise, everything will be alright.
Chorus:
Gently now, gently, I'll hold you in my arms
Close your weary eyes, my sweet little dove.
Gently now, gently, you'll be safe from harms.
What you need more than anything is love.
By morning, your sorrow will have disappeared
and everything will become so much brighter.
I promise there is nothing more to be feared.
No hardships to endure, your burdens, lighter.
I will be at your side, protecting you, always.
You can trust me for I'll think of you as mine,
and your life will be filled with beautiful days.
You'll be a glowing star in my sky, my sunshine.
Chorus:
Gently now, gently, I'll hold you in my arms
Close your weary eyes, my sweet little dove.
Gently now, gently, you'll be safe from harms
What you need more than anything is love.
Gently now, gently, I'll rock you 'til you sleep
Gently now, gently, I'll dry the tears you weep

When you have a beautiful beaming dream enter
the mouth smiles as together we drift away
As a moon face gets brighter accepting new beginnings
Flowers sway in your breathless air synchronized
by the spring music warmly breathing out sighs
Softly sunshine lifts our spirits free
Walking upon the yellow brick
road joining hands fingertips hold intertwining swans forever mate
Beauty on wings regal passion poesy on silk flowing sheets
Floating warmly dancing butterflies skip
under the tenderness softly embracing
Sharing sweet fluttering kisses from early morn unto late night
Heartbeats skip into one fire joining souls
in flowery band of white anemones binding us together one garland
Under a bridge bending heaven's sunshine colour baptised love

You knew our love would end in pain
Its sun kissed glow dissolve in rain
Delight would turn into disdain
And so, you gently let me go
You saw the future and you knew
They’d try to tear our hearts in two
what else was there for you to do?
You thought to gently let me go
You knew my heart would someday break
Our love so sweet, but a mistake
With all that seemed to be at stake
You had to gently let me go
You felt the prick of unborn sigh
You held me tight and said a lie
“My love for you will never die”
And yet, you gently let me go
You watched me weep, and scream, and rage
I lay there broken on the stage
Our Play had reached its final page
And so, you gently let me go
Your love? No longer on display
Your lips? All sealed, no words to say
Our rainbow gone, you live in grey
And mourn the day you let me go

I know some may
prefer the way
of folks direct, up front
Some love panache
forthright and brash,
outspoken as you want
Some may prefer
the crash and blur
of histrionics bolder
But as for me
I'd rather be
tapped gently on the shoulder

~Moonbeams Gently Cascade~
Watching as the daylight begins
to melt into twilight
Listening for the soft lullaby
the stars would incite
Cradling me in their warm
brilliant effervescent glow
To rock me gently, to their
mesmerizing melody so slow
When these vibrating heavenly
bodies, lull me to sleep
Star dust hangs over me in
forms of counting sheep
Angels sing the lullaby in this
heavenly celestial choir
Stroking oh so softly the purest,
of mankind's desires
Lullaby on a celestial breeze
as my soul it serenades
Drifting off to heaven as
moonbeams gently cascade

Now gently, oh so gently, lay me down
caress me into blessed tranquil bliss
with tenderness undress me from this gown
then bend to touch my lips with ardent kiss
I cannot bear to stay here long and so
my craving to be free, you need to tend
most gladly will I close my eyes and go
to places where your gracious hand will send
A place where I am loved is what I miss
you know the way to give me sweet relief
and so I yield to you, and ask but this
do not prolong our tryst, but make it brief
Oh Death, you've tried to win my heart before
I give it now, for I can take no more
Eileen Manassian
Like snowflakes on my eyelashes
Like the gentle wind that blows
Like the rustle of leaves on trees
and birds chirping in the eaves
You come each day and touch my soul
With fingers warm and light
And kiss my cheek a breath of jasmine
that make my senses reel
Illusive as a sunbeam
I know when you’re near
By the scent of love’s sweet fragrance
and the upcurl of my hair
When my heart's bursting with joy
and your light comes shining through
I know ti's you dear God,
I know ti's you.
Inspired by Maya Angelou.
Lay me gently down on a cold wint’ry day,
While the fireplace sparkles and blue flames rise
A day when the sun shines not to brighten, nay
Snow cloud blankets denying warmth to the eyes.
So you know, death comes to me as no surprise
For too long have I waited, on this soft bed lay
Suffering intoning voices filled with hopeful lies,
Lay me gently down on a cold wint’ry day.
I can no longer yearn for the beach or the cay
For springtime will likely find me not, I surmise,
Nor fond visions of summer’s long hours at play
While the fireplace sparkles and blue flames rise.
Though mind will foment, as the tongue still tries,
My time will have come with nothing left to say
Time inevitably comes when a thing of value dies,
A day when the sun shines not to brighten, nay.
All has been accomplished, come what may
Little or no remembrance of the lows and the highs
No more time to relish things frivolous, or the gay,
Snow cloud blankets denying warmth to the eyes
Likely I shall hear the low keening and the sighs
The mourning sounds of sorrow, the bereaving way,
As last breaths accompany the end of earthly ties
May there only be one desire left for you to obey,
Lay me gently down.
