Inside a knowledge turning cogs on this wheel
born from the darkness a heart rules supreme
fear in one wish looking towards tunnel light love
All that will remain when all turns to dust threads of life dance
kneeling weak alone humble and meek finding a balance

Weeping rivers flow haunting sea waves turn the key
truth is something beautiful touching deeply chords
Chilling whispers rise warm oasis warmly embraces hold
creeping inside beauty beams within shadows
Dancing starlight kissing ocean reflections twinkle
sparkle glisten teardrops coldly ripple out

Floating on a cloud of breath precious beauty
a mystery that means something special
finest mother of pearl gem coloring rainbow jewel shines forever
Frozen dew quicksilver lining echoes time answers always
cold as ice crystals dazzling diamond stillness pure

Frosted vision clear cutting ivory white one cool snowflake falls
baptism in regal glowing crowning full face splendor enchants a ball
walking along golden strands looking across the sea midnight strikes
Sleepless nights held over and back destiny calls your name
utopia faraway dreaming our love complete

Premium Member One Tune

Looking divine a picture goddess
jewels crowning gems sparkling magic
shining beautiful moon princess dazzling light

At a regal glance priceless cut, shines out diamond
silver ivory full face over and back
we dance into the milky way to paradise

In silver shadows we kiss holding sweetly our love
our souls sparkle together amazing dreams shine
this picture forever lives in the mind one treasure

Most adoring of all queens gracious
sweetheart I pray soon one day we will always
be together all I ever want to do deeply

Is make you smile embraced with happiness
its dark here alone shining in all dreams
Light of a thousand stars halo shine around you babe

Silken ribbons whisper tenderly soft
in every thought a warm breeze sails
Silently this boat to you on golden waves

Only if you wish darling
one in a thousand dreams that come true
you're the sweet night in gale singing inside always now in your tune

Premium Member Luna's Eclipse

Luna, to the depths
     of my fondest delight,
You are regally dressed
     this beautiful night.
Your beaming full face,
     frosted splendidly bright,
Causes Venus to become
     pale in your sight.
Your reflection shining down
     from your lofty height
Dances on the swaying sea
     in bejeweled light.
Known as the `beaver'
     full moon eclipse tonight,
In awe still am l as your
     shadow takes flight.
I rejoice in the return
     of your graceful might.

© Connie Marcum Wong

Note:
**Why is the full moon known as the "beaver" full moon?
The U.S. Naval Observatory's Geoff Chester offers the reasoning behind the name:
"[The] name comes from Native American skylore reminding trappers to set their
final traps for the season before the beaver ponds freeze up for the winter,"
Chester writes. He also notes this moon is sometimes also referred to as the "Frosty Moon."

Premium Member Last Night

I laid out on my porch last night
Listening to coyotes rage a fight
I watched the moon with her bright, full face
Place a blanket of shadows o’er the landscape

Tree frogs croaked a lullaby
I saw night critters scamper by
I breathed in the cool, fresh night air
As my body gave up its daytime cares

Inside the house everyone was asleep
After praying the Lord their souls to keep
I simply marveled at this nighttime world
Watching Mother Nature play like a little girl

Stars were twinkling in the midnight sky
Even saw a satellite passing by
My mind was clear of whos, whats, whens and whys
The tear that fell was from a happy cry

I laid out on my porch last night
Refueling my soul for the coming light

Premium Member The Man Is Moonlighting

Once a month Earth’s moon takes another gig
     Moonlighting in a far-off galaxy
The lunar eclipse only veils the truth
The man in the moon is an absentee

Decades peering down, he needs some relief
He’s seen famine, wars and catastrophes
His face now pocked by craters of despair
     His other world? Fewer calamities!

He’s often afraid to show his full face
So he waxes and wanes in synchrony
Slivers sometimes, half globes make their debuts
Full orb appears with lovers’ harmony

Contrary to most popular beliefs
Werewolves do not gain power from his light
The man in the moon beams with a full grin
When we follow a path righteous and bright

This is the reason we see harvest moons
At times when we reap the best seeds we’ve sewn
The man who watches us is happy then
Bright orange smile -- appreciation shown

Premium Member Lullaby

Lullaby

Moonbow cradle songs
Sing through sheer corona mists
In grace notes of acapella hues
While golden lunar lentos
Of twilight lunar rainbows,
Crowning Luna’s full face,
Arch with andante’s touch
Like a wrinkle in reality
In haunting flutters on the wind song
Drifting into enchantment and out of time.

A tone poem surrendered in a perfumed arbor
Settles chaos conjured in the cosmos
With gentle rhymes of barcarolles
That rock with moonlight’s tremolo touch
A drowsy art song paints the tuberose perfume
To soothe earth, sky and penitent soul
In beauty revealed by moonlit rhapsody
Where lyrics of sleepy harmonies
Doze to the cadence of blazing stars
Wrapped in astral quilts, nodding in serenity.

A "moonbow" is a lunar rainbow created by water droplets and the light of the moon.
Blazing stars are night blooming flowers.

Premium Member To Live the Wind's Joy

“The wind rides in solitude
In her diaphanous delight.
Her skirts brush eternity
To gather the stars of night.”

Forever the stars she gathers
will magically move in the sky.
Their dance is the style of Glitter-bug
as they shimmy till morning is nigh.

The man in the moon watches them.
You’ll see how brightly he glows
to see those shimmying stars
on nights when his full face he shows.

And we, the witnessing earthlings,
whose eyes on the night’s sky gaze,
can more than just view the beauty
of nature’s most wondrous ways.

We also can live the wind’s joy
as her skirts among the stars twirl,
for her talents extend to valleys and hills.
Over all the world she can whirl.

Poets, look up to the heavens.
With imagination embrace
the dance of the stars in the heavens
while feeling the wind on your face.

Premium Member Smoke Signals

Harsh cold breaths blowing gale force pounding drum bold
to the lightning striking blue diamond against ice freezing cold

Enrapturing a dark ebony satin night sky white silk cream velvet clouds
as the snow capped mountain lights up in a silver mist gleaming sparkles

One chain running a flood down the face as clouds of heaven open gates
lashing downpours of heavy pelting rain mixed with hail driven like bullets

Harshly outside roaring thunderstorms waves of air tossing this ship asleep
crying waves of voices through the breeze howling out rocking

Bending blows bowing down and asking for mercy the trees cry out moaning
spirits of the wind branches getting tore from the limbs standing to defense

Turf upon the fire rising white smoke signals it's warm here love
on this lonely cold winters night smiling faraway kisses a dream

Charming within deep loving warmth shipwrecked alone
crying howls into a cold full face moon entranced beautiful

The Bullet Holes In the Walls: Byung-Chul Han

In the sloping corners of humankind hangs the skeleton.
Ghosts are not hidden and flowers are exhausted,
Although some folds shelter beauty and
the old man can smile for some seconds
while he scratches the sky looking for
a ball that may glitter inside all.
The players cannot find the secret of the elegy,
While history dress only with one color
It is not the hour for a pilgrim. Many are left
On the side of the road with the lack of revelations.
One must remain faithful to litanies
To the holy reverence to the fatigue society.
Humans are around a corner
It does no matter if a barrel of tar is thrown in their full face.
Mouth and tongue pronounce the morning
Edition of obsessions, although the thickness of
the age and the readiness the long roll deeply sunk
no months to build effigies

I swear, I would die for you, but I have
no austerity for breath. I dream cities without clocks,
they hurt me, then I would add up stone by stone of kindness,
worry about questions, good questions,
and dream cities full of flavors and faces I can touch.

My apologies. It is late.Where there is a city
there is no city.

November Moon

November Moon
Also known as: Super Moon or Beaver Moon

With full face, you light up the sky,
Appearing so close, but yet so far!
Soft shadowed halo, brush your cheeks,
Creating a smile beyond belief!
Your visit, albeit short, an overnight view,
An amazing phenomenon, witness by just a few!

I draw honey blowing wind
thinking of you ore precious gift
like a snowflake pure unique
One of a kind in seventh Heaven
arriving within these eyes kissing a diamond

You're my angel rays softly touching outside
gently inside sighs the one in a thousand dreams
Beautiful nine floating in the clouds
singing with the silver treasuring dream lining
A beam shining over her pale full face

Brightly pearl cut ivory and back frosted jewels
silver trails on wishes sparkle, enchants in a trance
From the vine floating bubbles burst forth
rainbow magic coloring in your light drunken treat
bursting celebrations wishes in the mind

Dripping starlight desires your company
delightful feelings of passion burns
Inferno of flickering flames dancing
in each warm breath touching beat
deep warmly kissing emotions

Budding rose craving sweet scent
new life arising stir beginnings
so glad it's you I fall to
Surely as the sun forever rises in the east
Replaced in my nights sailing sets direction, to my best mate

You who raise sails within me without wings
on deep tides upon this ocean waves turn over
under the moon and stars we bathe silver
Dripping love sparkling in starry eyelids
Jewels the dewdrops each morning speak

Upon the ground as destiny calls sweetly
embracing the echos over sands golden
lost a lone wolf howling out lonely cries
in a cold winter lunar sky
snow lays upon the ground

Crystal true blue loving white
in two loving arms to die for
Holding your name smiling
breathless heart of beauty
beating with your love complete

Ivy Smith

I is for idyll in the way that at 91 years of age my grandmother took such care, attention and pride in her appearance and her home.

V is for vanity as my grandmother was always immaculately groomed, her hair always looking pristine, full face of make up, how fantastic at that age.
Sometimes I think I should take a leaf out of my grandmother's book.
I can see my grandmother nodding in agreement.

Y is simply yearning to have my grandmother still here.

S is savour, I savour those laughs we used to have together, especially talking about my grandmother's war days and her lodger's she took in during the war.
S is also for secondary care. When you get to those senior years in my knowledge most only receive secondary care, except for my grandmother who had exceptional care, love and attention at the hands of her two lovely carer's (or minder's as my grandmother used to call them) Ellie and Angie thankyou for caring.

M has to be for memory, as my grandmother had the most amazing memory. A better, sharper memory than me and my mother joined. My grandmother had the sharpest, quickest brain. M is also for my grandmother's amazing courage and spirit throughout her life.

I is for intelligence, as you could always hold and keep an intelligent conversation going with my grandmother.

T is for tender, as my grandmother was gentile, and affectionate as well as being vulnerable and sensitive. My grandmother was also non-judgemental, she never judged me on being a lone parent.

H is for hereditary for my smith nose, for my grandmother's sense of humour, and of course a hug. Grandma I send you a hug from myself and Daniel.
On a lighter note, on telling Daniel my son of his great-grandmother's death, I said great grandma has died and gone to heaven in the sky.
Daniel replied "only animals go there"
I said people go there too
then Daniel replied 2but the beds are to small"

Premium Member Christmas Gifts - Be Careful What You Wish For

I'd wanted a boob job for years
Loud moaning was all my hub's hears
Neath the tree there's a voucher
Soon I won't be a sloucher
Hubs thoughtfulness brought me to tears

His present was such a fab gift
Boob implants and a full face lift
Now blokes ogle and stare
You should see hubby glare
This present has now caused a rift

Next year on our pine Christmas tree
A voucher for more surgery
With huge boobs I was cursed
I'll have the op reversed
Not all gifts will make you happy

Rispetto for Selene
(What Makes the Moon Glow)

Goddess Selene, her full face milky white,
rises from the ocean, the Radiant One.
A chariot she rides in the sky of night,
while her thoughts are on her dear *Endymion.

So he’d never die, this man, Selene’s love,
must sleep forever, dreaming of her above.
She comes and lies with him, but he doesn’t know
the dream is real and their passion makes her glow!

*In mythology, Endymion (en-dim-ee-uhn) was a
very handsome shepherd who fathered 50 of
the Goddess Moon's Children (all while in his sleep!!).
