EXAMPLE

We are on this Earth to learn
With a sample of description
A visual account of the relevant
Or a biblical parable illustration

That is what is called the example
The right way we should be taught
First is the beginning of the word
Exam, a test that must be caught

Then when you do finally catch on
And, actually begin to really know
You will get to become the example
Teaching while you continue to grow

An example is being the mimic
Of what has happened already
Ex means past, to look back on
Ample is the full reference we see

A live sample view of the lesson
Which is the reflection of your life
As you climb up the steps to success
Or spiral down tangled rows of strife

We do learn and teach by example
Be sure exactly who you are imitating
For the example to be set as good
Or a truth of moral you are illustrating

The example can be either visualized
By your reflection or given spiritually
Like a parable coming from the Bible
Either way it is being like a mere copy

It seems easy to learn, teach, set or be
An example of a genuine duplication
Yet it is so difficult for me to describe
Just this simple example explanation

Premium Member Jesus the Perfect Example of Humility

Humility is not a given take
not being a natural trait
si hard to find one that's so
few reckon it's their state

It's an amazing thing to be humble
to feel you don't make up to much
consider yourself to be the last
not first even with a simple touch

The greatest example of this
was Jesus Christ God's son
He was so humble, so meek
on trial, bowed to God's will be done

It's been said a long time ago
when you think you're humble
then you're not, for those who think
they are, that's when they stumble

Jesus left the perfect example
to follow in His way
just follow Him across your day
humble steps will be a ramble

Backwards Poem Contest Example

Example for Backwards Poem Contest

you
breathing
inside
me eludes
greatness with
pure temptation
and love within
obstacles in faith
with hope of future
dependent for
living greatly
and freedom
to love with
prayers
gently
said

It is a form of poetry which can be read correctly downwards and upwards also.

I used a strict syllable count of: 1-2-2-3-3-4-4-5-5-4-4-3-3-2-2-1

My hope was for this to flow as close to a free verse poem as possible when read down then back up again.

This is what it reads going down (words left to right)

"you breathing inside me eludes greatness with pure temptation and love within obstacles in faith with hope of future dependent for living greatly and freedom to love with prayers gently said."

This is how it reads starting at the end and going back up (words right to left)

"said gently prayers with love to freedom and gently living for dependent future of hope with faith in obstacles within love and temptation pure with greatness eludes me inside breathing you."

Premium Member Would You Like Some Tea With Me - Example Poem Contest

Would you like some tea with me?
Sugar cookies; grand for dipping, do you agree.
I baked for hours , busy as a bee.

Would you like some tea with me?
Miss kitty, so witty and pretty you are, I can see.
You lick from head to toe of your black and white coatee.

Would you like some tea with me?
Mr. Doggie, furry paw's, I see you looking at me.
For you, a doggie biscuit shape as a tree.

Would you like some tea with me?
Sugar cookies are tasty and delicious, do you agree.
They're find on a rainy day, full tummies are we.

An Apalling Example of Near-Rhyme, Or Pop Poetry I

Lines composed in dejection
of embarrassing rejection
have a tendency to be
even duller than the seeds
of Stalin’s rise to power,
and more ruthlessly taxing,
and on the psyche vexing,
than the whole of the Holodomor.

Reys Example of Clerihew

Davy Crockett
Never had any pocket
So he had his gun to show
He used it to get a deer, Doe

George Washington
Brave the water of Ocean
To get to our shore
To make our countries core

Bruce Lee
Was a Kung Fu mystery
He trained others in a row
He challenged the times to grow

Queen Elizabeth
Takes our breath
With all her letter list
She leads with an iron fist

An Example of a Trample

In Texas, High School Football is king
Every Friday night there’s a game
A big event and the stands are full
The games aren’t played for fun, they’re for fame

In my second year of College life
My High School Football team went to State
I was compelled to go to Baytown
 A Championship maybe their fate

So proud was I, my team on the field
In the high school color, power blue
The group of us sitting in the stands
Tyler High fans through and through

Then the Abilene team came on the field
I could feel a big lump in my throat
Man for man they all looked like giants
The front linemen were something of note

From the first snap, you knew things were bad
 Abilene’s linemen were in control
The whole line of scrimmage moved with them
My team got trampled under their roll

Yes, Trampled would be the word of choice
And it continued throughout the game
Abilene won the Championship
Trampled Tyler left Baytown in shame

An Example of True Upliftment and Sincere Appreciation

i give her a hug as she shows me her degree
i reward her with encouragement and a chocolate shake
so many of those close to us tried with everything in them to bring her down
yet she kept her eyes locked on the goal and the work it included
i then present her with a ticket for a caribbean cruise for seven days and seven nights
her tears showed me all the gratitude i needed to see
no words were necessary
now if i had the power, i would tackle the devil hard and put a bullet through his head
then again, that is not the kind of man i was made to be in God's eyes
in her own quiet way, she allows her success to be her publicist
caring for those who care for her, she presents myself and others with a special gift of her own
it is a token with the word APPRECIATION in all caps engraved on it
we all say she did not have to
she expresses the contrary
here stare lets silences us gracefully in understanding
the vibe now festive, we celebrate a deserved individual who made it....

A Good Example, of Being a Man

A good example, of being a man
O, from Jesus, God’s beloved son
Would you not like to take a share?
Of His graces, for us, He prepared

Be thankful, for the life, he gave you
Yes, O yes, be thankful, and be true

A good example, of being a man
O, heed the calling of the Holy One
Would you not listen when he speak?
For in Him, the true life, that we seek

His scriptures, from them never depart
Yes, O, yes, bind them all in your heart

Lead By Example

The World's elite have made it their goal,
to get the population under control.
They hatched out a plan,
for their fellow man,
while they reproduce and live to be old.

A total population of 250-300 million people, a 95% decline from present levels, would be ideal. - Ted Turner - founder of CNN. (Age 80, 5 children)

In order to stabilize population, we must eliminate 350,000 people per day.
-Jacques Cousteau - explorer, conservationist. (Lived to be 87, 4 children)

If I were reincarnated I would wish to be returned to Earth as a killer virus to lower human population levels. - Prince Phillip - married the Queen of England.
(Age 97, 4 children)

Finally I had thought that at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth in populations that we don't want to have too many of.
- Ruth Bader Ginsburg - Supreme Court Justice. (Age 86, 2 children)

The most merciful thing a large family can do to One of its infant members is to kill it. - Margaret Sanger - laid ground work for planned parenthood (Lived to be 86, 3 children)

I'm pro-choice, I'm for assisted suicide, I'm for regular suicide, I'm for whatever gets the freeway moving - that's what I'm for. It's too crowded, the planet is too crowded and we need to promote death. - Bill Maher - HBO personality. (Age 62 no children, thank God)
