Backwards Poem Contest Example

Example for Backwards Poem Contest you breathing inside me eludes greatness with pure temptation and love within obstacles in faith with hope of future dependent for living greatly and freedom to love with prayers gently said It is a form of poetry which can be read correctly downwards and upwards also. I used a strict syllable count of: 1-2-2-3-3-4-4-5-5-4-4-3-3-2-2-1 My hope was for this to flow as close to a free verse poem as possible when read down then back up again. This is what it reads going down (words left to right) "you breathing inside me eludes greatness with pure temptation and love within obstacles in faith with hope of future dependent for living greatly and freedom to love with prayers gently said." This is how it reads starting at the end and going back up (words right to left) "said gently prayers with love to freedom and gently living for dependent future of hope with faith in obstacles within love and temptation pure with greatness eludes me inside breathing you." Hi Luloo, you did this well. Seems difficult to a twat like me. You must have put a lot of work into this one. Just looking at this one, i think it is too difficult for someone like me. I really think you did a wonderful job Luloo. I would give this a seven and i have to fave it. An excellent work. I hope many people give it a try and you get good entries in the competition. Hugs....Mike. XX

Vlad, you are very sweet, thank you so much. Yes this took awhile for me! I tried it last month and loved it. Now my contest entries are coming in and I am loving them. Its so exciting because there are actually two different poems and each one means something different, yet using the same words. Thanks again friend :)-Laura
