Premium Member Thru Maritime Miles

Thru maritime miles of minions in motion
We hedge our opinions while pledging devotion
To serving the Captain and sharing our smiles
Through barrels of onions and flea-bearing trials

But even the pirates who pose in a rumble
Are learning the merits of those who are humble
The path of our choosing where sinning is pleasure
Is better for losing than winning a treasure

I plunged overboard when I soared off a plank
At the point of a sword and a sore lady's prank
The captain's first mate made her daddy agree
That my fate was a date with the fish in the sea

I knew she was baiting my body at brunch
To catch me in waiting and serve me for lunch
All pirates are worthy to fish and to feast
But no one should make me a dish for a beast

From well on the brink to a splash in the sink
I fell in a flash for a female fink
I knew she was watching me fall in the tank
And laughing discreetly with Daddy to thank

I should have resisted the words that she said
But when she persisted they went to my head
I told her I loved her but so did my mate
Who never returned from his very first date

It seems bloody retching but fatefully true
When somebody fetching is fatal for you
You flee from the danger but fractured you find
That pretty young stranger has captured your mind

You think she is true but you never can tell,
Her saltwater stew is a bitter farewell,
A mob in her keep is the poorest of help,
Who force you to leap in a forest of kelp,

Though mad as an adder I drifted from reach
To bob like a bladder in search of a beach
The Great White beside me was my willing host
To have me for dinner and eat me the most

Then something resembling a storm with a tail
Came surging at me in the form of a whale
I lost my composure and when I passed out
She tossed me all over to sit on her spout

Upon this brave lady who skirted the water
I fled for my life from the ship captain's daughter
She brought me to land on the girth of her blubber
To flip me ashore like a lousy landlubber

From deep in the sea to a seat by a seal
The freedom I keep is a cheap kind of deal
The beach that I sleep on is sunny and hot
So happy to be where my honey is not...

Just Doesn'T Add Up

Pythagoras once fell off a ladder
And landed on a venomous adder
This adder couldn't add
Calculus made it sad
Algebra and theorems made it madder.

Love, Above All - My Spirit

Dejected on my bed this morn, I lay while contemplating,
what seems to be a day to face, I’m really quite unwilling
The peaceful place that used to be for me was so inspiring,
has come to be now tainted with such hatred and despising.

I used to get up from my bed an hour early to see,
to share what’s new, to grow, to live, to love more perfectly.
Each new day that unfolds with friends who greet excitedly,
felt like I’ve touched the heaven’s gates where I wanted to be.

The special word that’s meant to love has come to be vitriolic,
what used to be a happy place has now been melancholic.
Why can’t we just forget our pride, a soul that’s embryonic?
An open heart and mind will help lower blood’s diastolic.

What good is it if we can talk to ad infinitum?
When all the others think an adder fills our heart and cranium.
Will wounded hearts be even healed with simply an erratum?
When people can no longer see which is our mouth or rectum!

Our love for self and things should not be so that it replaces
respect for him, regard for her, a love that recognizes
each one's unique, no one’s above, this love’s the one that reaches
out with sincere humility, forgiveness, it amazes.

War Heroes

War Heroes

Between black wheel tarmac
the crossing reflects a figure in polished paint
at the stagger of his old loose feet
crosses the barrier of traffic
with the beacons conversation meaning nothing
its flashing occupation signals his lolled neck stumbling
sucks the bottle for one last time
and forgets

Sighting on blurred reactions
sipping the spit of his dribble he stares at his daughter mannequin
wincing past his performance
begging her to listen
while her attention is fixed ahead
the traffic rolls slick full of monoxide toxic
breathes the waste of her distress
she ignores the principal wave of his bottle
releasing her breath with the clutch
the zebra smells like a mouse trap
the white ladder bars and black adder cars
bump pristine edges on his boots
he sways across

The market trolleys squeak echoes the ache
she steps on tender ankles
swollen while he eases her past the cardboard
the plastic bags of her life crammed to full
the tatters of memories
she thinks of china cups and lost children
on blazing streets that lived on rations

Some where in her mind he is a hero
medals adorning his battered uniform
the traffic roars as loud as the blitz
some where in his mind he sees her yellow skin
the gunpowder struggle and the munitions factory
have worn away her beauty but still her eyes are sweet and lovely
and the traffic blasts like the blitz
on the people they were before

Picnic Time Aussie Style

Picnic time Aussie style

Picnic time 12 noon, is dinner time
Was had beside the river
We would grill our lamb chops
On pieces of fencing wire
Quartpot was all a quiver

Tea was cast into the old Quartpot
When the water almost boiled
And boiling tea still I can see
Tastes different I recall

Building the fire
watch the death adders ire
if you pick him up with the wood
foot long death, invisible yes
city dwellers often caught, it’s not good

If the Geegar ant gets in your pants (tiny black ant)
You will know he is there in a bit
And the Bullant one inch
Will bite like a pinch (pain)
His mates will attack,
you are it Don Johnson

Ah yes them little geegars
will bite n smite you well
and bullants come like an army
advancing into hell

If you get ants in your pants
it is no fun, the geegars are biting now
you are grabbing gripping awful ants
until you get the cow

Yes little death adder you don't see till you step on him, then both ends
head and tail strike at your foot. If you saw em first you stomped on the head.
The Brown snake the most common you will see, his head neck can flare
a bit like old Cobra, and he will kill you quicker......cheers mate.....Don

Up In Arms

Another wave of voter vexation
is swamping the shutdown nation

To the left,
the windpipes are hissing
To the right,
the windbags are dissing

And all of the kitchen cabinet aprons
got their middle fingers
pointing up deaf adder listening

Their thumbs down
is the ballot death blow sign:
Telling the weathervane citizens,
the rainy day
slush fund money is missing

The proletariat are up in arms,
so voter vexed ... they’re getting no paychecks

When the last mint cookie crumble,
the murmurers
are gonna misty-eye mumble

The viper sound bytes
are cobra kissing —
Blowing inherit-the-wind
lipstick jinn wishes

Getaway stage right poll exit
says last count call:
the vault money is missing

The proletariat are up in arms,
so voter vexed ... they’re getting no paychecks

To the right,
the windpipes are bursting
To the left,
the windbags are cursing

And all of the kitchen cabinet aprons
got their middle fingers
pointing up to the empty cookie jar

As the latest patriotic wave of voter vexation
is giving wet back hex to a grumbling nation

And the whether vain citizens don’t know which way to turn

Grey Clumper

Grey clumper
Our old grey clumper horse,
bit by brown snake, bad egg,
The horse stood on him, snake struck a leg,
Grey had him pinned, stomped snake to death,
Both died, horse fell on the snake inept,
(clumpers are half draught horses, we wept)

Snake hunting, bull terrier cattle dogs, (cattle dogs eat snakeys brown)
Pull down humans goats n frogs,
***** Damper tore a brownies togs, (hide)
She lay there in the water sick,
Old man trimmed, the poison bite off *****,
Pinched up the poison, shears in hand,
Cut the poison hide to which,
Condys crystal poison fix,
And she was back a hunting,

Death adder one foot long,
Death trap, touch him, death belong,
Never see him neath the leaves,
Chicken wire, fence out, him weaves,
Step on him, you are gone!
It’s a deadly poison, nong. (dummie)

Death Sentence Innocence

Roman capital punishment,
crucifixion morphed into
another raised gravity depravity
Guillotine justice dropping down —
off with the heads of the enemy!
Sleepy Hollow gangsters Herod-ing into town
Time pendulum swinging ...
death sentence methods changing again
Face the firing squad
Termination by little lead sledgehammers
hitting the head bullet hard
That final granted death wish stick smoke last seen
came from the barrel of smoking guns
The temporal blade is ever swinging
in kaleidoscopic frenzy fatally spun
Change the reel on the snuff film again
Strap the condemned into an electric chair;
place the rubber cap on their head,
after shaving off the hair
Gov’ment gotta get a false witness or two
to make the charges stick
Media static permeates the air,
news flash:
Executioner has the day off,
a nurse said the death doctor was sick
Then the metal switch morphed into a plastic syringe
Lethal injection with enough poison
to make a grown elephant of a man cringe
Tear a futuristic page from ancient history,
fact check the story if you need ...
DNA results came back: it said
the death row candidate was innocent
But the brigandine centurions wouldn’t listen;
they turned an adder deaf ear, they didn’t wanna viper hear
Pilate decree taking place as scheduled —
never mind that the convicted is innocent,
State sanctioned murder must go on
Although, the torture inquisitors can’t yet prove it,
they know the condemned did something wrong
Three days later, the psychic judges were told
the dead body was resurrection exhumed
The next termination iteration
is weaponized sonic waves, I presume

Eerie Generosity

What a doll you've been in this crisis!
I have broken my pubic symphysis
You've propped me with a ladder
You've applied on ass an adder
And brought me a pesky paralysis

The Lynchings On Fox News

I’ve seen black sheep set in Pongola grass

Within pallid seas, differed,

Like black buttons on a white cotton suit;

Sheep are color blind.

A bee is fine-looking,

But there’s fire in its ass.

Can the wild goat trust

The adder with inviting pelt?

Did Emmitt Till paint changes

With his blood in cotton picking towns;

The blood that called from Mississippi,

Like Abel’s blood calling from the ground.

Death had a voice, a voice in the wind,

The wind that walked north-west

And brought a microscope

For John Public to see

How inferior to dogs we are.

As a child, I played

Ring-around-the-roses

Until I saw “Rosewood”

And heard the drums

Beaten like Rodney King,

And the heartbeat of Cojoe

And Nanny racing

Towards the mountain of the devil,

To escape the cotton fields.

The drums are always talking.

The old south is alive and kicking high.

This is no Elvis tale. Exhume the body,

See with your own eyeballs.

No DNA can confirm

That Jim Crow is dead.

Jim Crow has a roost on Fox News.

He’s always crowing,

Whipped up by the “boy”

In the WHITE house.

How much can you see

If you look from the outside?

I’ve seen it even in REM sleep,

Even when I dream of roasted breadfruit,

Jockato in coconut milk, and Chinese geisha;

Willie Lynch is a man breathing

The smog-filled air in Washington.

In 1955, Money was the root of the evil,

And ’68 Memphis was the cross

Of the sacrificial lamb,

But these days men are lynched

In broad day light.

String up, dangling

Like papa's khakis floating

In breeze walking the orange glen.

All eyes should see our opinion of them.

Today we’re civilize,

And Catholicism is not voodoo.

We no longer use rope,

Our tongues do a fine job.

Like Mutabaruka,

I have no color problem;

Everything is black to me,

As black as Sarah’s view of the motherland

(It’s not too vital for her to learn).

If blue skies

Cried acid,

And wash the dark color

From this portrait,

I would still be black,

As black as tar.

It’s in my blood.
