my furry dogs huddle under the only shade
it is sixty degrees, a gorgeous September day
I am amazed at my dogs’ complete disregard for this marvelous orb
and the vitamin D she freely rains down on me
Life is a series of moments
None of which the same
Appreciate them for what they're worth
You wont get them back again
Utilize your opportunities
To maximize your gains
Sometimes things come easy
While at others they are strained
Bask in the moment
Each and every one
Brandish thy glory like a weapon
Because the fight is never done
Always give 100 percent
Like the weakest link in a chain
Consistence and persistence
Are necessary to maintain
So always bask in every moment
Never take these times in vain

today
i want to linger
in thoughts
of you
to regain
warmth
feel your hands
tracing the edges
of my soul
feel your lips
brush against mine
pastel like
just to bask
in the sunshine
you always seem
to bring
To ask
Why for temporary pleasure we cry
As if that were our main lives’ task
When our bones and muscles die
When complex answers to our questions lie somewhere else
Far and near, unclear and clear
If only our hearts and eyes could reverse
The lie we hold dear
When emotions inside our hearts take the best of our judgment
To render us blind
When in confusion we utter a nonsense comment in a ferment whose cement
Permanent answers, satisfactory answers can’t find
No matter how much we sigh, ply and fly
Shedding rivers of unfelt tears
In a bid to try
To escape fears
We harbor deep within our psyche
Where lies the sting of a lace string
Of synthetic shoes from Nyke
To which for arrogance we cling
Knowing not what we want
When we know not whether we’re coming or going
In the sea of delusion from which we can’t
Seem to break free despite the magnitude of the madness we keep enjoying.
So close but far.
So close but far, to cross for you. Is the task too much?
I bask in the sun alone, I left the door ajar
Hoping you will come back.
Hoping that wouldn't be too dark for us.
Is it still too much task?

On the seas of grass I search with my heart
Beneath the heavens chest our love does start
On the path of time I lay at your feet
Flying on clouds of emotion we always meet
Exploring each other like a new found land
Waking the trails eagerly of the hourglass sand
Seeing the river of love we shall never get lost
The treasure of touch is worth above any cost
