Yes!
What appears
appears without a knower~
No separate one
to know anything
but amazingly
it may appear that way~
Appearances are
expressions of nothing
with no holds barred~~
Oh my stars, oh my lord
I got my tongue tied with a cord
Near the crowd; among the people—
Stitch my lips up with a needle.
Shut the door now, stop the creaking
Or the grandma will start shrieking
Stop the marriage, kill the firstborn
Don’t care if that makes my mother mourn.
Hide the faces, sweep the floor
Shake the sin out of your core
If the father finds you cheating
You won’t escape without a beating.
Keep the words now, stuff them in
Let the baby choke within.
Make the plant grow, now pluck it out
Weep with sorrow, mingle with doubt.
Past midnight, lock the door
Step outside, are you sure?
Stuck hard, buried deep
Wear that skirt, aren't you cheap?
Bite down your cheeks till blood runs thin
See the righteous point and grin;
Pray to God, then hide the bruise
In this house, you always lose.
The barred owl - is he really wise?
He climbs trees instead of flies.
It is mostly in this regard
That he runs the risk of being disbarred.
Our waves crash hard;
I'm left scarred bad
and barred from sea.
bough bobbing with bulk
as barred owl hoo’s for his mate

In Central Park, an owl lived
And Barry was her name,
So cute and charismatic
She attained a well-earned fame.
Arriving in October
To her favorite hemlock tree,
She preened and stretched and hunted
Every night, for all to see.
Her mere existence brought such joy
New Yorkers gathered ‘round
To photograph or just observe
This treasure they had found.
Her recent death, colliding with
A maintenance-crew truck,
Brought sorrow to so many
Who admired her looks and pluck.
A vigil for her drew a crowd
To bid a fond farewell
To a special creature who changed lives
By visiting a spell.
The fierce owl preys at night, wings spread wide
It's dusk and the winds howl a warning
Rabbits, and rodents scatter to hide
The barred owl will hunt until morning
It's dusk and the winds howl a warning
A crow swoops down to protect its nest
The barred owl will hunt until morning
The hungry owl soon leaves, knows it's best
A crow swoops down to protect its nest
Rabbits and rodents come out again
The hungry owl soon leaves, knows it's best
In a tree the crow is perched in vain
Rabbits and rodents come out again
Rabbits, and rodents scatter to hide
In a tree the crow is perched in vain
The fierce owl preys at night, wings spread wide

I originally wrote this for Eve's contest but then realized it is not written in personification form. I decided to post it anyway, but not for the contest.
barred owls sound like they

Better than being a Trump retard
Who from my list has been barred
Body and face are too badly scared.
Ran out of time. Will finish later.

You can for me if you want to.
Did you try to take it with you,
did you really think you could
Are those moments that you sold for cash,
now spent and gone for good
Did you try to buy forgiveness,
choosing darkness over light
Are your memories long forgotten,
—new horizons barred from sight

Billy Joe was a caring bartender
who tried to be a broken-heart mender.
But stories of woe
put him in a hole.
Now he's gone on a two-week bender.
Barred Owl
Snow-blowing
window scene
presents a forest
of bare branches
upon one of which
an owl perches,
the snow-wind flying
at its ruffle-feathers.
Watcher sits
at the computer
determined to identify
the owl variety:
"Barred Owl?"
she wonders,
looking at screen-picture.
A sudden snowy gust,
and Watcher peers out
at the tree
only to find it
empty
and the owl gone...
flown off
in a second's glance away,
nowhere
to be seen...
while Watcher awaits wisdom
through the window
just one more time.
Brain rewired
The spine of prison rattles
Hearts harden
Hungry dogs
Chomp on the bars and the bones
Of his hope
He is lost
Dreams and fears confirm his tears
Time is gone
Guilty truths
Drizzle down his swollen cheeks
“God, I’m yours. . .
Lift my eyes
For your light is my way to
Shame my foes. . .
My clothes droop
My body slumped against death
This soul swells. . .
I need her. . .
If only you knew how much
I miss her. . .
I need You
For You have stayed here with me
Patiently. . .”
The sun peeks
His sad eyes take in the warmth
His heart melts
We are free
The sky is open to you

I want to write a poem about freedom
Only God can give you true freedom my friend
The final destination
That is what you should desire
And He will give it to you
If that is what you prefer
You can say that you know freedom
But until you taste it
It is not the same
You know in your spirit
That you got it
So desire it
What is freedom?
it is when you say anything
Do anything
No holds barred
You feel you are at the top of your game
And you are at your full potential
Do you know what it’s like?
Close your eyes and ask yourself
What is the true potential of me?
God will show you
When you get to the point of your true potential
That is where your freedom lies
And it comes from God
Only from Him
He gave us freedom when He died on the cross
But there is another freedom –the one that I am speaking about
That is the one - God desires for you to have
When you get to that point
God is done with you
I am kidding
But shoot for it
You have to want it
That is the start
He will take it from there
Just want
Barred
I see her there next to the jukebox.
I see him alone at the bar.
Damn, she looks good in that outfit.
Look at the size of his arms.
How can I get his attention?
Perhaps I should buy her a beer.
Why am I feeling so nervous?
Why am I filled with this fear?
I bet she’s already been taken.
He must have found someone to love.
I bet that she thinks I’m a loser.
I must not be attractive enough.
Screw it—there’s no point in trying.
Forget it— I’m just going home.
I guess I can see what’s on Netflix.
I guess I’ll watch Netflix alone.
