The one who fails.
I who falls.
The one that bails, within my walls.
You tell me when.
I turn away.
Search within, delay my way.
Cut off my yoke.
I stand in wait.
Another loke, always my fate.
I bend the knee.
I cry aloud.
My demons flee, I've been avowed.
I see my Lord.
He is my bread.
I've been restored, by He who bled.
He bear the cross.
I bear no shame.
No longer a loss, I bear His name.
We walked through the woods and saw piles
of cut timber waiting in well made bails
the narrow path meant we walked in file
onward down until we came to a stile
which lead us on for another mile
the beauty of the woods bowel
was high lighted in many styles
we listened to many bird calls
as we travelled through the dales
My first sleepover
was when I was almost eight,
camping with my friend.
Our tent wasn't store-bought,
just a tarp wrapped around some
stacked-up bails of straw.
We lived on a farm;
did I mention that before,
or did I skip that?
Anyway, we did;
and that's how we went camping
when I was a boy.
We weren’t set up yet,
when suddenly, it's raining
and we're getting soaked.
My friend's mom got us
and rushed us into the barn,
all muddy and wet.
She told us straight off
we'd have to sleep in that barn;
so I ended up
sleeping in a stall.
I still smile when recalling
that experience.
optimistic gremmie hits the beach with her new board
eager to take on magnificent crests, showing off her stuff
her knowledge minimal, but her courage impressive
an aggro gives her a few tips, then goes along his way
aggro gets caught in the backwash, and rides the aerial
gremmie watches, enthralled, entranced, amazed.
she bails a few times, wondering if she will live or die.
She’s got it, he thinks happily, the heart of a surfer.
A horse was the smallest of all
But he also long to be tall
So, he stretched everyday
Stood on bails of stacked hay
Until he stumbles and fall
I think after all grace fails –
man not, in time, making it
far enough out~ too late bails
to a fresh planet uninhabited,
much like ours before consuming
and mating, as if a vibrant garden
could not be overly rabbited
(you know, what I mean~
after the big one dropped
or some miraculous vaccine
has totally flopped)
yet, somehow, some way,
in a twisted sort of divine display,
pigeons, rats and roaches, will be
the Big Blue Marble's, by default,
newly ordained goodwill
ambassadors and spiritual
coaches –
(a banner hung in
near space inviting alien visitors --
unfortunately too late arriving
to be humanity's saving inquisitors --
“To Thee we will pay homage,
another eclectic, semi-intelligent species needed –
bring lots of garbage....”)
I usually try to write poems with a plot,
Sometimes pithy, and sometimes not.
My muse and I team up as one,
But if she bails before it's done,
And I can't finalize what's within,
I'm left without a plot to pith in.
Jake
Jake is a snake.
He is three feet long.
One day he will be
five more.
We found him in the barn,
he was lost among the hay bails,
trying to find a home to stay for a time.
He was very thin, so we took him in.
Jake loved to live with my man and I,
he got fed critters every day.
He gives my man's mom the jitters
just as often.
He is fatter now, and happy.
We tried to let him go, but he hissed "NO"!.
i ate the best clam chowder soup today
i have just been arrested for stealing the whole pot
said pot confiscated, i stood by my story that it was not me
nowhere near believing me, the door is locked automatically
i ate the best honey cured chicken today
i have just been convicted again for stealing the whole container
said container confiscated as well, i remain adamant that is was not me
nowhere near believing me, additional time was added to my sentence
i ate the best hawaiian rolls roday
i have just been convicted yet again for stealing the whole darn basket
said basket confiscated, my story remain etched in steadfastness that it was not me
eyes rolling and mouths curled all ugly, more additional time was added to my sentence
now, obviously having nothing to lose, i bravely ask about dessert
in reply, i get more eye rolling, a (questionably) sweet kiss, and a smack on the back of my head
she bails me out with the best slice of buttercream cake this side of purgatory
Life Is Good, and so is My Sweets!
Ever been to the town called Tallahassee?
There you can meet a fine, pretty, young lassie
Tell her tall tales
Until she bails
Then leave Tallahassee all fat and sassy.

Some days I totally amaze myself... but other days
Put my keys in the fridge, so questions could be raised
It's a daily crap shoot
Go outside in my birthday suit
Wifey-poo bails me out, then sets my pants ablaze
‘Lest I’m alive breathing?
Like a gentle man would say-
Wisely pouring my pen ‘II
Be to write all through my days.
Chanting justice my hand must aid
For the sacred zeal ‘s my birth made.
Lest I’m alive breathing
From coast to sea justice need sail,
Why stark mortals dashed out to jail?
Till forth comes death to snatch their bails?
Longer I’m alive breathing
Lest spoils prevail till end of time
No lawbreaker my tong’ will hail
Lest law fetters and justice fails
Truth must gear my tongue to wail.
Oh dear
Did you hear?
Odd tale
Rumour bails
Bad things
In mad fling
Loud hiss
Naughty kiss
Foul mood
That's not good
Ruin sinks
In vile brink
Verge edge
On lost ledge
Who knows
Half truths grow
Mad page
Sly words stage
Hear that
Gossip fat
Leave now
Don't ask how!

Why may You ask a salutation of this kind? It’s because you have taken on the dual rolls of both father and mother. Not easy or imagined when marriage started, full of promise, and the dream of being together for a lifetime. In most cases you face this trial and challenge with bravery, even when facing the daunting task of being both a father and a mother to children looking for guidance from both. Most of the time, the man bails, after looking for new and strange. Caught by a subtle slip instead of being a man, accepting his faults, apologizing for injuries to your heart and soul, he takes the easy way out, leaving you alone, unable to take ownership of his own behavior. Instead he chooses to throw away your precious love and devotion, to fulfill moments of gratification, he needs to bolster his weak and arrogant ego. I can only hope you find support to fill the void so callously created, in someone who won’t take you for granted, and can love you for who you are, not what he wants you to be.
My Mouth Foots a Bare Past
my dear
let hear
our boat
it float
dead seas
bare trees
unbowed
stern plowed
to wits
our fits
I blow
some crow
mouth's foot
lips soot
mouth's loose
same goose
one sails
need trails
two fails
need snails
three scales
need veils
four sales
she bails
my dear
lil bear
your hide
I cried
berry
bury
connie pachecho
