The Little Horse
A horse was the smallest of all
But he also long to be tall
So, he stretched everyday
Stood on bails of stacked hay
Until he stumbles and fall...

Premium Member Tallahassee Lassie
Ever been to the town called Tallahassee?
There you can meet a fine, pretty, young lassie
Tell her tall tales
Until she bails
Then leave Tallahassee all fat and sassy.

Premium Member The Plot's the Thing
I usually try to write poems with a plot,
Sometimes pithy, and sometimes not.
My muse and I team up as one,
But if she bails before it's done,
And I can't finalize what's within,
I'm left without a plot to pith in....

Premium Member Woods
We walked through the woods and saw piles
of cut timber waiting in well made bails
the narrow path meant we walked in file
onward down until we came to a stile
which lead us on for another mile
the beauty of the woods bowel
was high lighted in many styles
we listened to many bird calls
as we travelled through the dales

Oh dear
Did you hear?

Odd tale
Rumour bails

Bad things
In mad fling

Loud hiss
Naughty kiss

Foul mood
That's not good

Ruin sinks
In vile brink

Verge edge
On lost ledge

Who knows
Half truths grow

Mad page
Sly words stage

Hear that
Gossip fat

Leave now
Don't ask how!

My Mouth Foots a Bare Past

my dear
let hear

our boat
it float

dead seas
bare trees

unbowed
stern plowed

to wits
our fits

I blow
some crow

mouth's foot
lips soot

mouth's loose
same goose

one sails
need trails

two fails
need snails

three scales
need veils

four sales
she bails

my dear
lil bear

your hide
I cried

berry
bury

connie pachecho

Jake

Jake is a snake.
He is three feet long.
One day he will be
five more.

We found him in the barn,
he was lost among the hay bails,
trying to find a home to stay for a time.
He was very thin, so we took him in.

Jake loved to live with my man and I,
he got fed critters every day.
He gives my man's mom the jitters
just as often.

He is fatter now, and happy.
We tried to let him go, but he hissed "NO"!....

Premium Member Aggro Admirers Gremmies Courage
optimistic gremmie hits the beach with her new board
eager to take on magnificent crests, showing off her stuff
her knowledge minimal, but her courage impressive
an aggro gives her a few tips, then goes along his way

aggro gets caught in the backwash, and rides the aerial
gremmie watches, enthralled, entranced, amazed.
she bails a few times, wondering if she will live or die.
She’s got it, he thinks happily, the heart of a surfer....
